So... Should I bother with season 8? Or just hallucinate the rest after season 7? It's so good but it's coming close... bros...

I remember making it to season 8, watching the first episode then just giving up on the show entirely. It was that bad.
jesus
It is generally agreed that season 8 episode 3 was the death of GoT. Showrunners famously said that it will rival battle of Helm's Deep, and the director seethes to this day that we just had shitty TVs and that the episode was okay.
I'm trying to think of one redeeming quality of season 8 and I cant.
I was burnt out by the end of season 6, skipped 7 entirely, then just dealt with 8 so I could see it finished. 8 was such a dumpster fire that skipping the entire previous season had no impact on my ability to follow whatever was happening. At least season 8 is only 6 episodes, so it goes by quick, OP.
Nah, there's no point, honestly. Not even "if you're curious"
I don't get attached to characters, overanalyze dialog, or even analyze plots so I liked it. Good action. Even then the ending was weak but Cinemaphile isn't worth getting upset over so who cares.
>taking the moral high ground because you just mindlessly consume shows
>becoming so emotionally invested in slop that you let it make you angry
low t
>Good action
>cavalry charge into the darkness in the middle of tge night against army of death
>siege engines in front line outside of the castle
>all the defenders outside of the castle
>teleporting Arya
yeah it looked cool, i don't care if it was stupid
You can either stop and switch to the books and be disappointed by an unfinished story, or you can watch season 8 and be disappointed by a shitty ending. There is no escape.
I gave up halfway through season 6. Normies in my life were like "what???? you've missed the best season!!!" so i picked it back up, only for it to be mediocre slop with some cool battle scenes. Does it really get that bad at series 8, anons?
friendly reminder that only plebs can dislike S8 while liking S7. They both have exactly the same flaws
This. If OP considers S7 "so good", chances are he won't hate S8 too much.
No, I'm on season 4
More like Seasons 5 to 7. Anything after Storm of Swords is boring filler. Gurm somehow made characters like Euron and Victarion into boring shit with the Kingsmoot, and Dorne is a fricking joke that probably ends up losing Aegon II to greyscale or some other hokey excuse.
Honestly, if you just imagine all the characters you know / care about and even the ones you love to hate.
Now imagine those characters final arc / story written by a 12 year old boy.
>and then the hound saw the mountain and then the hound killed all the guys around the mountain and then the mountain and the hound fight and then
>Should I bother with season 8?
Only if you want to see how hard can a thing get fricked, and how does RR Martin's canonical ending looks like.
It's unironically a case study.
>season 7? It's so good
Season 8 is written for people like you
I was high off my ass when I saw Battle of the Bastards and I'll never forget how kino it felt. That's where it peaked for me.
>saw Battle of the Bastards and I'll never forget how kino it felt.
everything is kino when you're high off your ass
well it was kino the next couple of times I watched it too. Say what you want about the decline of the show's writing but the actual battle itself was executed masterfully. People say that it was blind luck Jon survived but I like to think the Lord of Light was looking out.
I don't see the problem. Season 8 was kino just like the rest. Cinemaphile trannies will find problems with anything
name one time in season 8 that made you nod and say, "now, that, was KINO".
The Starbucks cup
Now imagine that but x3 if they didn't move forward with that moronic fricking plan of venturing north to capture a wight to make a truce with Cersei.
Also, the Hound and the Mountain fight
Seasons 7 and 8 are the "travel" seasons where every character travels to somewhere far in record time.
it's not as bad as everyone says, it's not great, but it's watchable
