TBF India is an agriculture-based economy, so I could see why rising prices for commodities could benefit them, especially given it's one of the few countries to benefit from Russia's shenanigans by getting all their stuff at a massive discount.

Apparently due to weather there was a large crop damage so the cost of tomatoes went up. Along with a lot of inflation on food. So they're trying to paint a shortage and inflation on food meaning the cost of food goes up as a good thing. Which does not make any sense as most poor People's budget is allocated to food so they can't consume as much and buy products or services . There is no logic here. The equivalency would be saying because food prices are so high people are going to be healthy because they're all going to be on diets
Again it's a food shortage on tomatoes so the value of the tomatoes has gone up because of this limited supply doesn't mean the farmers actually have any of them. I mean these people have lost their crops they can't sell things they don't have so if the value of something goes up and you don't have it it doesn't mean squat. It's a shortage you can't paint it as a positive thing to say well there's less of this thing and it's more valuable but I don't have it means that I'm making money off not having it. If I have a hundred tomatoes and 90% of them are gone and the 10% that remain are more valuable it doesn't make up for the loss on the 90% even if they're more valuable exactly equal the value of the loss of the crop
