Then Ron and Jeremy Sweet. Then later on, around the time of Turbo, Ron bailed because of bullshit, and you got guys like Inon Zur.
It felt so disjointed and rushed. It didn't even feel like there was a plot.

Power Rangers has the same issue Final Fantasy has. Both have so many fan favorite one off stories that they just ignore and continue to make new stories that less and less people like. What Power Rangers should do is stop adopting the one or two year story of a single ranger group who don't have ranger allies. Instead have one permanant cast of new recruits and incorporate all the old rangers into the show at certain episodes. You don't need the old actors but that would be nice if you could but instead SPD could exist, Light Speed Rescue could exist Time Force etc that essentially act as different branches of a military. Every now and then you would see the Rangers asking them for help and they would all have their different personalities and goals. Time Force for example could be portrayed as a hard ass black ops group that people hate to deal with because they only show up when someone makes a serious mistake and you get chewed out for it. Light Speed Rescue are the ones that come in like the fire department when too much damage is done to an area. SPD are basically the police. Something like that. Instead of one or two seasons of one ranger group instead an intertwined ranger world.
This is actually a good idea. It also means that if you're cast as a Power Ranger and you're a good actor, you can play off of the more experienced cast members and actors. The fact of the matter is, Power Rangers can be a huge black mark on your resume and many actors/actresses are embarrassed by having to do it. It needs to get rid of the Saved by the Bell, poor acting stigma. The closest I think they ever got was Time Force and RPM.

The key to Power Rangers' success was that it was a localized sister series of a show that already had all the action scenes filmed in a country where they were much cheaper to produce. The toys were already designed and being manufactured in Japan. Power Rangers wasn't just a cartoon, it was a brilliant business model.
