No the episode kinda showed there was tons of factors that might have led to there weird experience.
1.Most women the guy on the right met were extremely boring and 1 dimension, man was "tired" of women on another level.
2. Dude on the left didnt seem to enjoy married/kid life that much and missed just hanging out with his friend doing nothing.
3. Guy on the right wanted his friends attention like when they were kids or in college but as a grown man theres no way to say "bro please lets hang out more like we used to" without it coming off as weird or gay.

It’s kind of like the twilight zone. You can even skip this episode and San junipero if you just cannot stand anything gayish. Some ARE hit or miss but I’ll admit I’ve enjoyed all the episodes to some extent, even the Miley Cyrus one. The only one I couldn’t stand was the one where the black chick and her white boyfriend go to Scotland (anything else would be a spoiler) but it wasn’t horrible. I didn’t dare to watch the mini movie though, as I heard it was absolute garbage.

It's unclear and that's the point. Sexuality and romance gets weird in a post-human world where you can choose your body. The single guy put himself in a woman's body and found he wanted to frick guys, but it didn't stick when he returned to his male body. The married guy found he loved his friend in the female body, but it didn't stick when he returned to male. Neither understood why and they were afraid that it would. It could have been much more interesting in exploring the relationship between the body, mind, and sex but they focused on the cheating angle.
