So they're meant to be "partners" in a flashy advertising agency but they basically don't do any work at all?

So they're meant to be "partners" in a flashy advertising agency but they basically don't do any work at all? Don and Roger drink and screw around, Bert sits in his weeb office and eats cake - Pryce is the only one who appears to be doing any kind of work or management?

Don is head of creative, it's his job to evaluate and shape ideas put forward by his creative team, and turn them into coherent marketing strategies. He's shown doing this repeatedly
Roger basically does nothing, he's kept around because (a) it was his father's company (b) he babysits lucky strike, which is their most important and reliable account. He's accounts, which means his job is to wine & dine clients, but he mostly does nothing, and then after lucky strike leaves he has a crisis, writes his book and starts doing acid

Welcome to the real world, where wealthy people choose to trade money for time. Would you rather work 80 hour weeks and be worth 100 mil, or 10 hour weeks and be worth 10 mil?

Only psychopaths like zuckerberg or bezos choose the former.

That's literally how it works in corporations. The higher up you are, the less actual "work" you do and the more time you spend in meetings. Leadership is mostly about forming a strategy, inspiring your peers and making decisions.

And yet in all those “A day in the life of my corporate job” tiktoks, the girls do absolutely nothing but snack and answer emails. And they are lowest level

they're hired to meet diversity quotas. if they were given actual work to do, the company would suffer because they're shit at it.

You left out the worst part: "holding people accountable." Nobody ever wants to talk about the worst part.

the 2 main female characters on this show were primordial girl bosses.

They kept gaslighting the audience into believing Peggy was desirable and not an ungrateful c**t operating in an anarchistic mindset
    >I’ve spent 2 years here and have no education or training Don I think I deserve to shop around for better offers
Such a millenial brained development. And she had more sex partners than Don did by the end of the show.
Joan was almost satirical in the levels of “life on easy mode” female privilege, despite being an uncreative brainlet that belonged trapped in season 2 of Fargo if not for her breasts.
    Megan too.

    Betty was good.

      >Peggy was desirable

She was when there was a competition to be the first to bang her then the rest of her storyline is about how she copes with the fact she’s an outsider to female and male culture.

All her “suiters” were best summed up by not-Zappa moving her out into a crime/Black person infested hellhole and then leaving her there. She was pulling from the discards. Even pete only showed up because he struck out at his bachelor party.

Peggy did great work despite having no education and what she deserved was whatever the other companies were willing to offer her.

      What are you on about?
Half the point of Peggy is that she isn't desirable at all. The only reason some of the guys (and Pete) are even vaguely interested in her at the start of the show is because she's the new girl, and obviously a woman who'd be very easy if you wanted to just butter her up and pay her a little bit of attention.
After that, the rest of Peggy's time during the show is spent proving herself as a creative force, rather than being a woman who just coasts along being good-looking like Joan. It's why the two basically hate each other by the end, because they're so fundamentally different. Joan's hot, Peggy's not.
