So I'm confused I found 40 episodes and they're marked as season 1 I'll look at Amazon the same episodes are marked as season 2. What I'm trying to figure out is there a season 2 or are there just 40 episodes
For general context anon, most platforms that host shows typically inflate how many seasons a show actually has because they can sell you each season individually.
It sounds exactly like the case you're seeing from Amazon.
Do NOT at all take what platforms that host these cartoons say, the episode/season(s) count that come from a crew of the show or from their own wikipedia pages are the official word on that.

You're two years late buddy, the show was cancelled after Discovery acquired WarnerMedia. The new guard pulled the show from HBO Max and wiped all traces of it from CN's website and social media accounts. Season 2 was definitely down the pipeline and there are some character layouts and episode titles from it that accidentally got leaked by various crew members, but it's probably done and dusted. A writer said that it got tax writeoff'd by Zaslav so don't count on seeing any more of Mao Mao this decade, save for a reboot on another network

It was probably GOING to be written off, they did all the preparations for it and took it off their website and Youtube for a while, but I guess at the last minute there was a legal wall that stopped them.
