>hear every criticism of you on the entire planet >every single one >consistently bust your ass to help people >still nigging out at you non stop >finally give in to a request for tech you've told these morons repeatedly they can't handle >they use it and kill an entire town >and again, this is your fault >you know what, frick you mother frickers, and frick your mother too
makes sense to me honestly
the plutonian and invincible are two great comics, but with how homosexual and shitty all superhero related media is i would rather the plutonian stay untouched
Irredeemable is a genuinely fantastic "what if bad superman" comic because its so absurd, and instead of "superman but bad" you really go into detail about how fricked he was. >when he reveals his identity to not lois lane and she completely shits on him and immediately tells everyone
Omni-Man getting called a Superman knockoff is sort of inaccurate. The actual comic had him rebel and fight Mark on like issue 12, and from there went in a completely different direction.
I will allow viltrumites to be called kryptonian saiyans though
homelander is a total b***h compared to pluto, homelander gets dabbed on in every single way then sucks on a titty like a little homosexual, plutonian sinks entire countries for disrespect
i would have much preferred a show about irredeemable over the boys. budget would have been probably triple the boys' though since they go to all sorts of weird ass places and don't stick strictly to inner-city earth
The Boys were never supposed to be a live action tv series with actual character development. It was just supposed to be an edgy parody that came and ended, its why the show has had to go off the rails so hard.
I enjoy Garth Ennis for what it is, but besides a couple of key works it's very clear its just fun edgy shlock.
My guess is Weedman and Amazon bought the Boys because
A) Superheroes
B) Evil Superman
C) Corporations (not ours) Evil
D) Cheap
something like Irredeemable they would have to give a shit because its far better written. Netflix apparently bought the rights to it recently to ruin the adaption, so there's that.
yeah that's true, doing anything at all with garth pennis' writing is polishing a turd

The Boys comic has a great narrative structure and character writing for Butcher in particular, and I like it for the final two arcs alone where everything falls into place, but everything in between is typical stupid Ennis edginess that almost entirely ruins the good parts
i kind of love quibit more as a character than reed richards, despite richards having vastly more issues. you outright see quibit realize that who he used to be won't be enough to stop plutonian. plutonian is not just an earth level threat, hes a potential solar system buster. esp near the end of the comic
homelander was never even close to the plutonian in any way, at any point, ever. The plutonian legitimately did good things and wanted to be good but snapped under the unreal pressure he was subjected to, homelander was just ruined from the start. Also homelander can't compete in terms of power level. So yeah he's shittier but I think it's unfair to say he's related to the plutonian in any way beyond being kind of like superman.
pretty much, but the actor is good
really? I think they could've found a better actor for homelander, I'm not buying him
you're an idiot
and you're gay
Not only gay, but you can't even have sex
I dont think so!
>another capeshit thread
These posts are always telling in their projection. The fact that you're not busy with discussion in a mature thread means you're no better.
Grow up.
>SUPERMAN IS...LE BAD! WHY? CUZ IS REALISTIC OK?
the downfall of the plutonian made a lot more sense than homelanders tbh
He just cracked under the pressure. Everyone expecting everything from you all the time, nobody could handle that.

Nah i get that "superman but le evil" has been done to death, but both show and comic homelander have their own distinct thing goin on
>when he vaporizes his 2 foster siblings and left the moronic one who he gave brain damage as a child to starve to death
Bueno
Cheerio!
I was looking for the name of that guy

more like pooponian am I right?
kys homosexual
How old are you?
homelander is a total b***h compared to pluto, homelander gets dabbed on in every single way then sucks on a titty like a little homosexual, plutonian sinks entire countries for disrespect
Irreedemable TV would be kino
weren't they going to make a movie?
Homelander was always a shittier Plutonian.
Plutonian is the best What If Superman But Evil.
Isn't there a general specifically made for shilling this show?

irredeemable always had my favorite version of "lex luthor."
the boys is really lacking a compelling arch nemesis like this IMO, like they forgot to write in villains besides the supes

it really never ends in this clown world does it

🙁

He's sort of like a Lex Luthor by way of Dr. Doom which makes his scenes with Qbit work, since Qbit's Reed Richards.

Superman is just a shittier John Carter of Mars
Irredeemable would make great truly serious tv series.
