Trailer seems fine. It'll probably be okay, just not as good as it used to be.
Crypto being a thing in 3023 makes sense though, it's no worse a premise than the Star Trek stuff. Covid one will be dogshit though, you can feel it already.
Shills GTFO
This is going to be yet another attempt at outdated references to things that happened around five years ago. If the humor is like in the previous "new seasons" it's going to be shit. They're getting the Sneedsons treatment: they will milk this cow every chance they get and we will end up having more episodes of zombie futurama than actual good episodes.
The last run had some cringe attempts for current day commentary, like Proposition Infinty. The Susan Boil was the nadir of the series. But still pretty solid overall. The Bender episodes last time round (Free Will Hunting, Lethal Inspection) were great.
Lethal inspection was the most soulless pile of horseshit. The writers literally just watched Jurassic Bark and said “let’s do that people liked that!”

Yeah they lost what made futurama good by the last seasons, but I am a fan of the setting and most of the characters so i will watch it.
I mean at least it cant be as bad as rick and morty, i had to stop watching that with all the bullshit incest shoved in by the obvious female writers.
I mean how can they frick up a sitcom where the premise is a multiverse, so infinite possibilities and what they went for was incest humour shoved into nearly every episode.
Both shows lost touch with its roots. Futurama was an irreverent, satirical scifi comedy about a fish out of water and into a strange new world. I really liked how it was similar to Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy character wise. I don't know why it got Simpsonised into a generic comedy
>It'll probably be okay, just not as good as it used to be.
What does this even mean? As good as it was during the original run? Or the movies? Or the first revival? Because with the exception of a few episodes, each revival got exponentially worse. and even the original run isn't as good as folks would have you believe.
It'll be comedy central run tier. Maybe a little better since I doubt that any of the "current" episodes will be as bad as the Susan Boyle or Katz episodes.

No it doesn’t. Their currency has always been “don’t think about it” status. It’s why the prices of the 31st century out similar to ours and not like the yen.
>you might be illiterate
If you could acutally spell it would fricking help, also you saw a fricking Crypto desert with cowboys and assumed it was a "meaningful currency", are you okay?
Yeah what he said. They did a little in season 1 with Fry accumulating interest over 1000 years but then pretty much ignored any other potential plots or jokes they could’ve, basically stating that money is the same as it is in current year, value and all (it just has blob monsters on it now).
If they want to do a crypto episode they could do something like >Fry’s nephew is Satoshi >Fry finds 51% of all bitcoin in the soundtrack to Ghostbusters >Everyone is flabbergasted because all bitcoin has already been mined and bitcoin is the gold standard backing Earth’s currency >hilarity ensues
It’s a bit of a rehash but it works within the setting, as well as explains why their currency is consistent with ours and not like 500000% inflated. Unlike what I assume they’ll do which is a thinly veiled premise exactly like current year with r/wallstreetbets tier jokes.

said they haven't learnt anything from the last revival where they made a ton of references which felt out of date at the time let alone a decade later
Now this is the Futurama I was hoping to see again! The humor hasn’t changed at all and still makes me laugh to this day! Very excited to finally have a new season!
>NOOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST STAY AT HOME AND WATCH TV YOUR MARRIAGE IS DYING >NOOOOO WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE TOO POOR TO AFFORD A VACATION?
Sometimes they're takes are so disconnected from reality now they're genuinely anger inducing
I used to listen to them all the time when I was younger and I made sure to download an .mkv rip of the whole series a few years ago with the commentry track on. Maximum comfy and I wish other people could enjoy them too.
Sorry man, I've had it for like 10 years, torrent's probably long gone. I could look into uploading it but I'm not even sure where I could host 13gb discreetly
Slapstick is there, but the smart humor seems to be gone. I guess that's the logical conclusion of replacing physics PhDs with gender study PhDs.
Do you not know how to revive a torrent?
Regardless, I can't imagine there isn't a complete collection torrent alive of something as popular as Futurama. Don't tell me you guys not know how to find one.
>Do you not know how to revive a torrent?
More like, I don't have it anywhere on my PC anymore.

Just upload them all to your Google, dude. And only post the link in this thread.
You could even zip the folder first if you wanted to make it slightly easier
I love Futurama but really think they should've just let it die instead of reviving it yet again. The Comedy Central revival was already kind of hit and miss compared to the original run
>Returning from his glorious genocide of the Blue Checks of the Twitter Nebula, 25-star general, Zapp Brannigan!
Something they will never say on the show.
must be nuts having 3 different ideal endings for the series already and now fudging it up for another series, it always was the most futury feeling show though
>old series used timeless/bedrock sci-fi references >tfw the two reboots can't do this because nothing worthwhile has been made in the twenty years since it began
Parasites Regained should be a fun episode.

Should it? Should it really?
>reference to a classic episode
anon Nu-Simpsons does this all the time and it's garbage every single time.
Apart from the Treehouse of Horror Westworld bit
>Episodes about the vaccines and cancel culture
Most likely gonna be shit but with probably one great episode
The last run had some cringe attempts for current day commentary, like Proposition Infinty. The Susan Boil was the nadir of the series. But still pretty solid overall. The Bender episodes last time round (Free Will Hunting, Lethal Inspection) were great.
Lethal inspection was the most soulless pile of horseshit. The writers literally just watched Jurassic Bark and said “let’s do that people liked that!”
what's wrong with a jamacian living in north america doing inspections in mexico with no stated reason, anon?
What was the stated reason he was working in New New York?

Trailer looks like shit just like your mother's dick
How are they going to just do away with that ending?
Literally in the trailer dumb dumb
Same way they did the previous cancelations.
>Good news everyone! We survived this finale/world ending finale because *blank*.
They could even just reference the fact that the series is canonically a timeloop because of the finale.
i don't remember the ending so it's fine
>crypto and covid jokes in 2023
3023
Crypto being a thing in 3023 makes sense though, it's no worse a premise than the Star Trek stuff. Covid one will be dogshit though, you can feel it already.
No it doesn’t. Their currency has always been “don’t think about it” status. It’s why the prices of the 31st century out similar to ours and not like the yen.
I literally have no clue what you're even trying to say.
you might be illiterate
>currency was largely meaningless in the show, giving it meaning now shows they have zero creativity
>you might be illiterate
If you could acutally spell it would fricking help, also you saw a fricking Crypto desert with cowboys and assumed it was a "meaningful currency", are you okay?

Looks ok but like and
said they haven't learnt anything from the last revival where they made a ton of references which felt out of date at the time let alone a decade later
>COVID episode
>Crypto episode
>manscaped joke
>Alexa joke
Jfc.. what year is this?
yeah someone really needs to tell Fox animation that you can't make topical jokes if it takes you like 2 years to produce an episode
the background art is kinda bad, looks like no effort was put into it at all
wait did stuff like futurama, simpsons, american dad and the griffin had any effort put on backgrounds ever?
>The Griffin
Aside from digging up memoryhole-19 from the dead, what the frick happened to Amy's ass?
Female writers
that's just what asian asses look like
Not amys
I have dated 2 Asian women and they both had great asses.
The breasts were depressing but they somewhat made up for it in eagerness to please.
It's just a different outfit.
ugh
Now this is the Futurama I was hoping to see again! The humor hasn’t changed at all and still makes me laugh to this day! Very excited to finally have a new season!
I have never once even smiled at a Futurama episode
Say hello to the new Futurama writer.
Amy better still be a bawd
>covid19 episode
so it'll be just like the 1st revival then with the Susan Boyle episode and make it datee
I'll stick to the original 4 seasons
voice cast sounds the same as always at least. I wish they'd stop trying to do topical humor.
It will be as bad as nu-Simpsons
I clapped when he said good news everyone
Oh boy, covid commentary. Yay.
I wonder what other hot takes we'll get to hear from Mat Groening.
>NOOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST STAY AT HOME AND WATCH TV YOUR MARRIAGE IS DYING
>NOOOOO WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE TOO POOR TO AFFORD A VACATION?
Sometimes they're takes are so disconnected from reality now they're genuinely anger inducing
I wish streaming platforms had an option to hear the commentary tracks. The DVD commentaries on the original episodes were pretty cozy.
The FX Simpsons streaming website had all the commentary, and Disney's greatest crime was killing it
I used to listen to them all the time when I was younger and I made sure to download an .mkv rip of the whole series a few years ago with the commentry track on. Maximum comfy and I wish other people could enjoy them too.
Any links to that rip? I could find simpsons commentaries no problem, but could never find Futurama ones.
Sorry man, I've had it for like 10 years, torrent's probably long gone. I could look into uploading it but I'm not even sure where I could host 13gb discreetly
Google docs is the best place. I've found folders of the complete history of SNL on there.
https://mega.nz/file/LJBGyBxK#OjZgtGL3PxPLSq3uD9l08-1b_K56K_X_ujHxg6XNT0s
Okay, have at it
> "I've had it for like 10 years"
> Created less than 5 years ago
I made the folder structure 5 years ago, Javert
Google drive, mega, dropbox, mediafire, you could make a torrent.
Slapstick is there, but the smart humor seems to be gone. I guess that's the logical conclusion of replacing physics PhDs with gender study PhDs.

I've been searching but can't seem to find one at all. The closest thing is finding rips of mp3/m4a files of just the commentaries themselves
bitsearch dot tee oh
Well, I suppose it's not surprising that part of the humor went over your head, Anon.
Scratch that, I misunderstood you're looking for the commentaries.
In that case, remuxes are your best bet.
Futurama was never smart
I love Futurama but really think they should've just let it die instead of reviving it yet again. The Comedy Central revival was already kind of hit and miss compared to the original run
What's wrong with Leela's voice?
She's super old now.
I hope it has as much Leela/Amy fanservice as the original show or else I won't bother giving it a shot
I thought they ended it with Fry and Leela living to old age or something? Also aren't they all still robots?
The series was meant to be a time loop.
I didn't watch the last revival and I certainly won't watch this. Any fan should have jumped shit during the films
Roooooooobot House!!!
I bet Bender is going to be neutered
He taught me what a floozy was (it's amy)
>Returning from his glorious genocide of the Blue Checks of the Twitter Nebula, 25-star general, Zapp Brannigan!
Something they will never say on the show.
Honestly, why?
Why are they doing this? Why would you make a "sequel" to the works of much better people? Why couldn't they just make their own show?
Just let it die and stop desecrating the corpse holy shit
These "revivals" just come off as sad and empty
must be nuts having 3 different ideal endings for the series already and now fudging it up for another series, it always was the most futury feeling show though
the gag for fry hanging off the cliff should be he doesn't have underwear on
JUST LET IT DIE
FRICK
Weird its coming back right when I'm rewatching it. The trailer looked ok, dunno why they do "topical" shit though.
>old series used timeless/bedrock sci-fi references
>tfw the two reboots can't do this because nothing worthwhile has been made in the twenty years since it began
