No. Just denied it ever happened when they were badly received. They must have cobbled what’s left together with reshoots. It would explain this

Originally Old Indy would get shot and mainly be incapacitated, maybe even die.
Then you’d have Young CGI Indy the bulk of the film working with Helena.
In the final film you instead have this weird inconsistency where one minute Indy is severely wounded by the bullet, then he’s fine again and can swing around on a whip and beat up five nazis, then he’s back to writhing in pain like he’s dying. This happens multiple times until the ending when he just lies down and is literally about to die until.... Helena punches him in the face to save him. In a clear edit from a reshoot. The whole ending with him alive is so painfully obviously out of place. They had no idea what to do so hoped to just shove old characters in and hope the goyim clap.

This is true. Past indy was meant to travel with old Indy and Fleabag woman. Old Indy would die. Then young Indy would sacrifice himself. Erasing him from history. Then she’d have to replace him and do all the things he did to keep history in place (her being CGI’d in old Indiana scenes mostly running away)

I saw the movie. It was pretty good, not too annoying on any front. Kid was pretty weird looking, and a more attractive female lead would have made this a great watch, but it was a decent summer popcorn flick. Idk what anons are gloating about, retroactively trying to push it as some kind of super diverse woke movie, now that it’s a big flop, I guess? It was good. Not great, but good. Worth paying the 18 bucks to see it with my girl. I can’t think of any glaring flaws. It could have been awesome, if it tried to come in at under 2 hours, but it feels bloated in some places, and it needed to be punchier… but it was way better than crystal skull. I know it was a flop, but good movies flop all the time. Even the new bladerunner flopped, and that movie was tv certified kino.
