Hasbro killed it. No tv series or movie currently planned/in production. The toy line is now under Playmates brand umbrella. The comics that were being made my Boom Studios are done.
Well 90s Masked Rider failed because they basically made a mockery out of KR. Turning the cool martial arts action show into a cheesy 90s sitcom, complete with weird furby mascot was certainly...a choice.
Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight was a MUCH better adaptation that was hitting the proper target demographic, but sadly the toyline was non-existent and the show was always on at the weirdest times so it couldn't actually hold an audience. The show was actually good enough to warrant an emmy win for their stunts, but because no one knew when the hell to tune in, their ratings tanked.
It'll come back. The jap economy is tanking and the US is making inroads to their entertainment industry. They'll eventually get desperate enough to beg Hasbro to make more PR.

No one's ever really gone, in this IP-driven market. We're entering the end of 80s nostalgia and beginning 90s nostalgia, in which PR fits nicely. It may not happen right away, but it'll definitely come back.

Toei usually puts more effort and budget on the Kamen Rider suits, until the money runs out that is, then they just recycle older suits.

Couldn't find its audience. Power Rangers was fun for little kids, but Kamen Rider tried to appeal to teenagers that thought it was fake and gay.

Better so far than the last two years. Good action, fun characters, suits definitely grew on me, plus Go-On Red was in the last episode.
