MV must ditch Wingard and make movies at least in the same tone as KotM and KSI that didn't go too far. Although I don't really care that much I just want Godzilla to be important again.
>been a decade >4 movies in franchise >hundreds of millions of dollars in ticket sales >billions in toy sales >nips abandon their goofy designs to ape western gigachad evil face designs
NOOOO YOU MUST WATCH GRORIOUS NIPPON BRACKU PRINT GOJIRA MUCHO AUTHENTIQUE
Best new movie I've seen in the last few years, even went with a few people that had never seen a Godzilla movie and they loved it. Go watch it if you haven't already (although you already screwed up a bit if you didn't see it in theaters).
movie pitch: tension are risiong between notrussia and notukraine, nukes are being amassed on border.
the radiation attracts godzilla and kong to see what's up. they have to fight each other other and army regiments for dominance of the radioactive wasteland.
all told from the perspective of a brave japanese notreddit notukranian foreign legion waifu and her company of minority lgbt misfits ofc
The buildup shots like the airport scene were fricking kino but the constant testicle teasing and fade to black cuts were fricking wack, and also the bryan cranston character dies like 10 minutes into the movie, ridiculous.
Largely earned. Might not have been quite as much hype if Hollywood wasn't constantly shitting the bed, but still undoubtedly a fantastic movie, possibly the best in the series.
There has been THIRTY-NINE (39) attempts at making a Slopzilla film that isn't shit. These attempts have been made by multiple directors, and studios, over the course of seven decades. All THIRTY-NINE (39) attempts have failed. There has never been a good Slopzilla film, and there never will. Slopzilla is shit.
Relatively organic word of mouth. Hokey film but very compelling and exciting.
When the Godzilla theme played during the final naval operation I got hyped and I have only a fleeting history with Godzilla films. Success.
The guy trying to kill himself and humiliating himself the whole movie for that sweet seppuku was fricking ridiculous
It killed the movie for me
I hate Japanese acting
Godzilla was cool
the consensus is you need to get off the internet for awhile
God, he's handsome as frick.
It's kino and Godzilla X Kong is going to be kino.
GxK:NE does not give me confidence
The question is, we will ever have a more lighthearted G film from TOHO themselves ever again.
>, we will ever have a more lighthearted G film from TOHO themselves ever again.
That hinges on how well Godzilla X Kong does.
I’m fine with Monsterverse doing the campy shit, while Japan is super cereal.

You're not fooling anyone
But the Japanese loved KOTM
That the hype was real and it existed.
they're a bit cartoonish
it's a good movie?
Yes, I thought it was very good
Godzilla Minus One is quite a good film.
Too much talk, not enough smash
Decent acting and script
Good rampage scenes
One laugh out loud stupid scene
7/10
great and I can't wait for the sequel

Do we really need a sequel?
yes we do
Godzilla: Minus 2?
Godzilla Minus One 2
Godzilla Minus One 2 Type S Zero
ah those wacky japs

It felt like Godzilla was representing the wrath of God himself and how he punishes nations. Incredibly kino.

It never came out in my county so I haven't watched it, I wanted to tho.
Extremely good movie
I watched Godzilla 2014 yesterday and couldn't understand how Legendary botched such a strong start to the franchise
The buildup shots like the airport scene were fricking kino but the constant testicle teasing and fade to black cuts were fricking wack, and also the bryan cranston character dies like 10 minutes into the movie, ridiculous.
kino af
Validated.
Rare case of earned hype that came about naturally
Largely earned. Might not have been quite as much hype if Hollywood wasn't constantly shitting the bed, but still undoubtedly a fantastic movie, possibly the best in the series.
Thought it was great…however the last 5 seconds annoyed me so much.
9.0 for me but would be higher if they didn’t end it with the sequel bait.
100% justified. Best movie of 2023 easily.
It was pretty good, but not my favorite
wtf is his problem?

Are you alright buddy?
its you again huh. here's your (you) homosexual

Really generic, mediocre movie. The reaction here to this movie is literally the "thing" "thing japan" meme
