One way of interpreting her character is due to the trauma of being sexually assaulted or raped when she was captured in Jaburo, she became hyper focused on her identity as a woman. Char treated her as a soldier first and a woman second while Scirocco at least acted like she was a woman first and soldier second (he likely actually just thought of her as a tool). She's basically having a mental breakdown throughout the second half of the show and Scirocco is feeding into it to manipulate her while everyone else is failing to even acknowledge the things causing her breakdown.
She is supposed to be contrasted with Emma, who devotes herself to the AEUG's cause while largely ignoring her identity as a woman while the men around her primarily think of her as one.

She's also an adrenaline junkie who pretty much joined AEUG for the thrill, but the main cast kept blocking her from doing dangerous missions. Scirroco notably prayed on both these issues once he got her ok his side.
the only possible logical reason i can find out is that when she met sirocco he brainwashed/newtype lobotomized her a little so shed become his thrall
