Are there even any shows out there that use Flash over ToonBoom nowadays? The most recent one of note I could think of is probably Gumball, and only because they didn’t want to export all the assets to TB

Most Titmouse shows still use flash

I prefer Animate because you can actually have several shots, or even an entire short film, all in one file. ToonBoom is clearly designed to only have one shot per file, so it's more of a hassle when it comes time to finally edit your film together.

The problem with that is your files will get bloated and less manageable individually. Separating scenes encourages better organization, and you can version control each scene in Harmony.

Adobe Animate is unironically one of the biggest piles of shit software I’ve used for animation. Constantly buggy, basically useless for traditional, and garbage interface. You’re honestly better off using free software like Opentoonz.

I'll give you buggy, but I've found Animate to have a fairly straightforward interface & it's completely intuitive for traditional. You've got layers, a timeline, paint bucket, and a brush tool, (not to mention looping symbols). What more do you need?

OpenToonz has arguably the nicest timeline I've ever seen. It's so easy to adjust frame exposure, feels just like video editing. If it weren't for the mindfrickery of levels, I'd consider switching to it from Harmony.

So does every other software, so bugs are basically all Adobe has to their name. Their entire business model is resting on their 30-year-old laurels while buying and shitting up other software like Substance.
