Omniman wins, Homelander couldn't even lift a plane because his powers work based on our physics whereas Omnimans doesn't. Even on the ground Homelander is fricked, but if it gets aerial or even into space Homelander is fricked.
I'm not sure if he couldn't 'lift' it, you simply can't save a falling plane by catching it like in a Superman comic. If you hold all the weight at one point like that, the aircraft would tear itself apart.
You're still right, but I don't think the plane is a good comparison point.
It was one example, he says in that scene that he has nothing to push off of and ramming it would just pierce its hull. If he had soild ground under his feet he could lift the plane, but in the air he cannot push off anything.
I thought that was kinda lame. There's inherent violations in the laws of physics by Homelanders mere existence (how does he flight? How does he guide himself? How does the lasers work?) so suddenly bringing down how it's physically impossible for him to catch the plane after just brings attention to the other problems
I don't think that makes a lot of sense because he'd have no reason not to save the plane if he could, it's great PR after all.
Look, it's a great scene. The way his incompetence causes the accident, how he coldly decides that since he can't save everyone and it would look bad he won't save anyone, but I just wished they framed it a little better. Maybe one if the terrorists could've taken the hostage and Homelander accidentally lasered off a wing, and that's why he can't lift the plane, because the weight difference would imbalance it

He accidentally killed the pilots, that's already too much of a PR loss in his mind, he can't handle being seen as making a single mistake, gotta cover it all up.

Homelander already royally fricked up the situation by lasering the wienerpit controls.
it's the writers misunderstanding the common criticism against superman type characters where if they tried to catch a plane or any other large structure realistically the frame of the plane or building or whatever could not take its weight being supported on only a single human-sized point and the hero would just fly through the object unable to carry it if it's not super reinforced or something, but that idea goes through the dumb writer brain and comes out as "guy whos power is to magically levitate himself miles into the sky needs ground to push of off to lift something"

I always reasoned that Homelander's physiology breaks the laws of physics, but a plane falling out of the sky does not.

Whoever the writer chooses >but muh power scaling
My fanfiction disagrees, if you feel it needs approval from a corporation to count than I don't respect you.
Omni-man is actually a soldier used to fighting similar-powered beings. Homelander's just a manchild who lucked out getting the most OP powers. His most effective weapon seems to be his laser eyes but is Omni-man could tank that massive satellite laser thing then presumably Homelander's eyes wouldn't do much.
The main difference why these people aren't comparable really is the way Invincible and The Boys do their Super Hero parody and the medium they're bound to.
Animation can explore different settings a lot easier, planets, etc without needing a high budget. Space. So Ominimans power level can scale higher.
Meanwhile Homelander is a television show with human actors, and shot in our real world. So scenes like the plane where Homelander could attempt to save everybody, and might succeed, it wouldn't be worth it because they all saw his frickups, and it'd be about the people he can't say. Homelander unable to control and bend physics is more outrageous to watch. He has the entire world by his balls, nobody is able to stand up to homelander.
Both him and Omniman are essentially the same by this metric
Gus wasn't scared of homelander. He knew that Homelander wouldn't be satisfied just lasering Gus to death.
Homelander hates the fact Gus isn't scared of him or his lasers.
Homelanders top feat is probably managing to save Butcher and the baby from C4 as it detonates, Omniman solos entire planets though and is from a warrior culture that had civil wars recreationally
This question has been answered.
And in my personal opinon Omni-Man would win. Viltrumites are capable of surviving the core of the sun, at least for a few minutes. We've never seen Homelander come close to matching that.
WTF they didn't even dye his hair blond?
Everything about Homelander really is fake.
After watching both shows Homelander would crush omniman.
I disagree. Omni-Man is a superman clone from a warrior society that worships strength while Homelander is a Superman clone in a world where nobody can come close to challenging him.
Never read The Boys comics but in the Invincible comics Thragg (a viltrumite like Omni-man) survives the core of the sun for several minutes before dying, can Homelander claim anything similar?
Those were all anti compoud V bullets but they started firing after Homelander and Clone Noir had already fricked eachother up and this is what Noir looked like, I don't even know if the bullets really did much. I do wonder though, would he have been able to survive the anti V formula if Noir hadn't fought him before?
homelander can be killed with nukes according to Stillwell, but vought wouldn't resort to it since a nuclear exposion isn't something they can cover up.
we see Starlight work out by lifting a car and A-train work out by pulling an actual a-train, so yes, the supes in that setting can work-out, but I doubt Homelander ever bothers, he's already top dog and too arrogant to think he needs to improve
Well..yea. It's just the newest popular media vehicle for Seth Rogen to have his israeli mid-life crisis. He got finished ruining Preacher, and The Boys was next on the list. I wonder what dirt he has on the execs that keep giving him these projects.
omniman and it's not even a question
They didn't read the comics anon, they're plebs.
omni man killed his superman and his superman is immortal
Omniman in less than a second.
I can't imagine watching this garbage.
evil superman
this
Yet here you are
Omniman wins, Homelander couldn't even lift a plane because his powers work based on our physics whereas Omnimans doesn't. Even on the ground Homelander is fricked, but if it gets aerial or even into space Homelander is fricked.
>Homelander can't lift a plane
I assume he can, just didn't want to.
It was one example, he says in that scene that he has nothing to push off of and ramming it would just pierce its hull. If he had soild ground under his feet he could lift the plane, but in the air he cannot push off anything.
He can't just push with his power of flight?
I thought that was kinda lame. There's inherent violations in the laws of physics by Homelanders mere existence (how does he flight? How does he guide himself? How does the lasers work?) so suddenly bringing down how it's physically impossible for him to catch the plane after just brings attention to the other problems
Someone on tvtropes suggested Homelander had already decided to let the plane crash and wasn't trying very hard to think of a way to save it.
I don't think that makes a lot of sense because he'd have no reason not to save the plane if he could, it's great PR after all.
Look, it's a great scene. it's kinda hilarious how invincible explained flight by viltrumites just being able to create their own leverage
Honestly it was a based explanation, I'm sick of moronic drawn-out "explanations" for moronic abilities.
I always reasoned that Homelander's physiology breaks the laws of physics, but a plane falling out of the sky does not.
couldn't he just grab the tail or something and slowly decelerate it?
I'm not sure if he couldn't 'lift' it, you simply can't save a falling plane by catching it like in a Superman comic. If you hold all the weight at one point like that, the aircraft would tear itself apart.
You're still right, but I don't think the plane is a good comparison point.
What if Homelander could’ve carried the plane but he’s a lazy bastard and didn’t want to do it?
>
I always played who wins with my friend on our way home from elementary school.
Anons who post basedjaks to people having fun didn't have friends in school.
Neither, because they aren't real. Touch grass, incel.
Whoever the writer chooses
>but muh power scaling

you have no respect for yourself
based
If you don’t know the difference between “then” and “than” I don’t respect you.
can omniman tank a missile with a tip made of depleted-uranium? cause homelander can't
with his face.
Goku

They are both from comic books.
Homelander cant even beat gustuavo fring.
Gus wasn't scared of homelander. He knew that Homelander wouldn't be satisfied just lasering Gus to death.
Homelander hates the fact Gus isn't scared of him or his lasers.
That is the most womanly face I have ever seen on a black man.
Say that at los pollos hermanos not online and see what happens.
He’s onto Gus.
I always thought he was among Gus.
Right. Mustache power trumps eunuch shaved fast man.
Homelanders top feat is probably managing to save Butcher and the baby from C4 as it detonates, Omniman solos entire planets though and is from a warrior culture that had civil wars recreationally

Homelanderbros...don't look...
Omniman could literally throw him into the sun.
> godlike being who has never had to face a challenge skips legday
Like poetry.
Those arms look like he never lifted anything heavier than a cup either
?????
Couldn't be bothered to lift I guess
Literally 0 effort
WTF they didn't even dye his hair blond?

Omni-man is reverse Goku, the Viltrumites are clearly Saiyans.
unironically me, for not giving a flying frick
After watching both shows Homelander would crush omniman.
>After watching both shows
omniman, it's not even a competition
Those were all anti compoud V bullets but they started firing after Homelander and Clone Noir had already fricked eachother up and this is what Noir looked like, I don't even know if the bullets really did much. homelander can be killed with nukes according to Stillwell, but vought wouldn't resort to it since a nuclear exposion isn't something they can cover up.
So here's a question for the lore heads
Does Homelander work out?
Would working out, lifting trains, etc have any effect on his strength?
we see Starlight work out by lifting a car and A-train work out by pulling an actual a-train, so yes, the supes in that setting can work-out, but I doubt Homelander ever bothers, he's already top dog and too arrogant to think he needs to improve
>all these israeli soiboi characters
blocks your path
frick off gaybag Omni-Man is cool
Season 3 of the boys is awful. Turned it off after 15 minutes into episode 1.
Well..yea. It's just the newest popular media vehicle for Seth Rogen to have his israeli mid-life crisis. He got finished ruining Preacher, and The Boys was next on the list. I wonder what dirt he has on the execs that keep giving him these projects.
