So who's Paul Dano related to? He's an incredibly bad actor. He's absolutely terrible in War and Peace.

This, although I'm not sure it was acting so much as just having an extremely punchable face and just being in the frame.

/tv/'s take on Dano in The Batman continues to be trash.
Man completely turned the "le badass" Batman villain archetype on its head, and made Riddler a prideful spaz with autism who lives alone in a shit apartment and uses an imageboard raging against the powers that be.
It was a great twist, and Cinemaphile only gets pissy because a Batman movie of all things defined everyone on this Mongolian basket weaving forum better than they could define themselves.

I don't know, maybe some CLASSIC actor.

Lol no one thinks of a fricking capeshit movie this deeply. Go back.

        >I'm moronic! Don't think deeply! Leave!
No I'll stick around for your good.

        >it was good because it got subverted
Dano didn't write the guy anyway, even his incel freak performance was bad

His incel freak performance was so good, you looked at him and said, "Wow. That's cringe."
Because incel freaks are cringe. No one wants to be around them, and everyone thinks they're fake.
        He played it perfectly.

I still never watched it but I've been told he was literally playing The Riddler as if he was Sam Hyde in the interview with the buzzfeed guy

        That's an apt description.
        Checked.

        >what if the villain.. wasn't intimidating?
wow, expectations subverted. Movie must have been incredible afterall.

        It was.
        Checked.

        >Man completely turned the "le badass" Batman villain archetype on its head, and made Riddler a prideful spaz with autism who lives alone in a shit apartment and uses an imageboard raging against the powers that be.
Never even made it to this part.
Movie was so boring I turned it off halfway.

Shame. Hope you give it another try one day.

I don't know I'd go as far as "incredible," but I didn't hate it.

Paul Dano unironically went to high school with Sam Hyde. I'm not kidding, look it up.

Also OP is full of shit, Paul Dano is a great actor.

It's not even a subversion, Riddler has literally always been an arrogant autist who thinks he's the Ubermensch because he's good at word games.

      >Batman thinks Riddler knows who he is

Really great scene, shame the act makes the movie drag.

I haven't watched war and peace yet. I plan to since I'm reading through it currently. But from the 2/3rds of the book I've read, Paul Dano seems like the perfect casting for that character.
