Now that the dust has settled, what did you think of the first non-Roiland season of the show?
Also what do you think about them being the Human Opposites now?

>steals your show
Are you that desperate for Cinemaphile‘s validation, Mike?
imagine how paranoid everyone else in Hollywood must be
you don't even have to lose the case, let alone actually be guilty, or even be in court yet, to be cut off at the peak of your career
The reason Roiland lost his show was because of dangerously close text messages and IG messages to teenagers. He would have been fine if he'd not fricked with kids.
But he lost it for John Lennoning his wife
he unironically did nothing wrong. committed no crime or acted in any way that is unacceptable
>or acted in any way that is unacceptable
It's pretty easy to believe Roiland was a pain to work with professionally. Even if it wasn't always that way, there's the age-old problem of too much power getting to one's head. Dude deserved everything that came his way. Getting kicked out of your own writers' room is insane
believing that creators of shows are required to not be buttholes is a fantasy. completely in line with acceptable industry practices
Oh I'm sure fun & games are had in the studio, but it sounds like at a certain point Roiland started taking it to extremes and just said frick it to basic public decency. Dude just went into hiding after season 3 because his "shenanigans" were actively preventing any work from getting done. Sounds like he became more of an obstacle than a collaborator.
>His behaviour was perfectly acceptable and I would do the same
This is really what it comes down to for all the Roiland simps.
>you don't even have to lose the case, let alone actually be guilty
Every other pedo in Hollywood manages to keep their sexual affairs with children secret. Justin was being a sloppy sperg about it so they had to kick him out.
Go and try to find Jerry Seinfeld's cringe texts with that high schooler he was fricking. Go on, try it. You won't find them. That's why he still has a career.
Not to mention Bob Saget raping and killing a girl in 1990. Can't believe he got away with that
what
he lost is show because everyone hated working with him and was looking for any excuse to fire him
You post this in every thread.
Take a hint, Justin is not going to wreck your ass.
Samegay
>let his show get stolen
That's on Justin for being a wife beater
Decent, took a little bit to get used to Korvos new voice, but the writing was more or less the same.
I'm sure them being humans will last about as long as the office job plotline
>I'm sure them being humans will last about as long as the office job plotline
At least they could've given an in-show reason of why they stopped doing that after two episodes
It was the weakest season by a margin but not because of Justin's absence. The Wall plot has outlived its welcome and was actually the worst part of the season but the Silvercops portion was pretty engaging in a stupid way. Korvo's new voice is lazy and lacking Justin's charm but it's not too off-putting.
>Korvo's new voice is lazy and lacking Justin's charm
this is a plus
come on anon it was just fricking rick's voice, THAT'S lazy
Yeah, Justin can basically only do two voices with some variations between them
Roiland could only do two voices, but he could perform the HELL outta them. In voice acting, range isn't as important as how emotive you can be. Gilbert Gottfried? Kristen Schaal?
What we tend to forget is that whoever's hired as the new voice(s) will not only have to voice Rick and/or Morty, but also infinite other versions of them. Roiland did his best work in the episodes where it was just alternate Ricks and Mortys. I pray for them…
You guys said without Roiland there wouldn't be any more creepy jokes. What the hell is this?
Weren't they supposed to be brother and sister?
Basically yeah. But Solar Opposites's whole thing is that it's SHOCKING and STUPID and WILD, even more than Rick and Morty since it's a streaming exclusive. Nothing that the aliens do is meant to be taken so seriously. They're about as serious and consistent as Bugs Bunny. Their "family unit" functions like an even more irreverent Family Guy. I think that's why I personally can stomach the incest jokes here better than the ones on Rick and Morty. I'm not offended by the incest on Solar Opposites, I just find it boring and uninspired. I'm sure there are way better gags they can come up with, but these modern comedy writers always resort to "haha gross."
I'm certain she let him touch them at least once
They'll frick just like Morty and Summer
I can see them discovering each other's human bodies
When I first watched the episode I was expecting them to not see each other turn human and end up getting together not knowing who the other was.
What is wrong with you
Purely for comedy, not fetish reasons.
I know right? They wouldn't do that if they weren't siblings since they wouldn't share the same bond
generically speaking they aren't related so it's totally fine
It's the same with adopted siblings the only thing that matters is genetic relation
idk they did kinda were born as twins so there could be something
all that matters is genetic relation, and they are clones of the two older guys, its not incest
But I also thought it was meant for them to also be mates eventually too. I mean it's weird but I don't know if this is any better.

Until next season premiere, right?
Tho it would be funny if the Solar Valentine's special just casually featured the human designs
And also have them fix human Terry so he looks like he did as first.
So we can have a proper sex scene between him and human Corvo
>Also what do you think about them being the Human Opposites now?
no way it lasts more than a single episode
They worked at the rake company for two or three.
Who are the new voices? Are they the same ones they're going to use for R&M?
Voice, Dan Stevens, no.
Does human Jesse ever wear a bathing suit?
It was good, but Korvo's British voice is incredibly jarring. It feels like he's yelling his lines all the time and it's a little off-putting.
Take it easy on him. His performance this season was limited to just dubbing over Roiland's voice records. Hopefully he'll sound a lot better in Season 5.
>Human Yumyulack is just his VA
I lol’d
They all are, except for Korvo
nooo not really
Human Terry does resemble Tom Middleditch
Human Jesse looks nothing like Mary Mack.
It was very good, I'd only say the wall plot was the weakest of all 4 seasons. The villain was very annoying and they fixed things fairly easy.
On the other hand, the Silver Cops stuff was way better than last time, where it was more a useless addon.
grass tastes bad
>Sister Sisto's voice
I was glad she died and her followers watched her
kinda hot
I hope Vee discovers them one day
Rat shill thread.
>Solar Opposites
It was never good, and it still isn't good and no amount of video essays will change that.
Yumyulack once again steals the show with every scene he's in.
So what's gonna become of Justin Roiland now? Think he'll just fade away and we'll never hear from him? Or maybe he can find success in Japan since John K had an art showing there.
What does it take for the japanese to socially shun someone?
Very little. Japanese salarymen had to write apology letters to their companies for being COVID positive, for example.
>Since Justin had his case dropped, can he sue for wrongful termination?
You're making some assumptions, like that the criminal charges were the formal reason for terminating his contract or that any such provisions for his protection existed in the first place.
>Since there was a 70 episode contract, do you think he got severance pay?
It's likely they'll have to pay him to continue to air the show, but I don't think he was an employee so no.
Since Justin had his case dropped, can he sue for wrongful termination?
Since there was a 70 episode contract, do you think he got severance pay?
Honestly I don't think Rick and Morty will extend past the contract
AS bit off way more than they could chew off of a temporary fad success
R&M fell off hard in season 3 but it was finally recovering in season 6 which makes this a real shame
>can he sue for wrongful termination?
No. That's for age/sex/race stuff. Not beating your wife stuff
