Is that really what they're saying? Or is it just the fact that people are commenting under their production art saying "your show sucks but nice drawing"? These are the artists, not the writers or producers. They have no control over how shitty the show is. You're looking for drama where there is none.
Than why are they pissed when people complain about the writing? They could respond with “cant comment on that, i am just an artist and dont have enough writing experience“
>Consumer, it’s YOUR FAULT that you don’t like my show
Yes it is, for people who decided to hate the show before even watching it. They come with such a biased opinion that they can't even understand that part of the show is satire.
Even if you put the satire aside and look only at the silly jokes and excessivelly fast pace, I still don't understand why it gets 10x more hate than Tuca and Bertie for exemple.
How bad it is is glaring and obvious with no reason to watch it. Animation student point of view >I still don't understand
Of course you don't, your animation culture is set up to avoid understanding. By not reading the Preston Blair book for example. I see students saying this as if it is a powerful statement when really it just shows how embarrassing you are
They are proud of their racist and misandrist messaging in their show. The animator cries out in pain as Xe/They creates discriminating propaganda against you.
It never ceases to amaze me how thin skinned storyboarders and animators are. Nobody knows who the frick these guys are, yet they act like they're the targets of a campaign. Mindy Kaling isn't this pathetic despite being the face of project.
>Nobody knows who the frick these guys are
There was literally an thread an few hours ago, where someone was checklisting the whole animation crew faces on which ones the anon, "wanted to rape and brutalize" over this show
Cinemaphile is hateful violent psychopaths people expect to see on the 7 O'clock news who does this shit to fricking everybody. Not saying that makes it okay but it's Cinemaphile being Cinemaphile. Anyone who takes Cinemaphile seriously would be incredibly depressed.
yeah it is funny cause they are the same people who will tell you to walk into a Chik-Fil-A and harass the people working there cause the owners have opinions they don't like
Animators are cucks because they're rarely capable of making animation on their own. They NEED these productions so they have an "identity". No one cares about their problems, they did it to themselves.
This take is total bullshit because even the shittiest piece of shit takes a ton of talent and more than 99% of people have in some areas like animation.
That said you're still allowed to say you don't like something. People shouldn't take it personally at all. Also I've only seen the writing criticized. Kaling and that guy that did most of the actual creation of the show are very wealthy children of very wealthy parents and can take it, and they're the ones getting pretty much all of the criticism. They'll be fine.
Wow, imagine having the balls to actually make the claim that writing up a quick paragraph claiming a movie is shit is actually more work than making the film itself. and meaning it.
You see the hard part is using creative writing with a pun and have fun word play on why it's good or bad. He's a homosexual. Creating something from head is a pain in the ass. Judging something isn't that fricking hard.
I disagree with ~~*Saltz*~~ and you. Even the most shitty cartoon takes tons of time. Reviewers of all kinds, even the best of them, are just shouting in the wind to people who don’t care. Anyone can write up a finely worded paragraph about why they don’t like a movie. Anyone can turn on a camera and become a “professional reviewer” on YouTube.
Some Velma artists and crew members are asking people to stop being negative on there comments 🙁
One of my professors in college told us at the start of a massive project, just because you spend a long time on it doesn’t mean it’s not dogshit. I’m tired of seeing “we worked long and hard :(“ as an excuse for why people shouldn’t call bad things bad
>just because you spend a long time on it doesn’t mean it’s not dogshit
It's sad that Cinemaphile understands this cartoon better than most animation school grads ever will
It's funny Masahiro Sakurai put out a video saying just this with game development. Literally said players don't care how hard you worked if the game is still not fun.
The animator cries out in pain as They/Them makes propaganda against you.

Not to mention the fact that you jumped to such assumptions only shows your binary-like thinking is infected your ability to be open-minded to new ideas.
The issue with people like you can also be seen in many specialists, be it Dr. Michael E. Jones or Marshall McLuhan: you find a specific theory, and turn it into a set of lenses to observe and analyse everything only via that system alone.
Same goes with almost all boards, where your "horseshoe theory of values" lens overtake any nuance or "unorthodox" view.

You know I'm not going to say Cuphead is perfect, but look at pic related. There is some heart here, and Close Enough was a good show.
I think this dude has talent but he sure as hell isn't a good judge of quality.
>I'm not going to say Cuphead is perfect, but look at pic related. There is some heart here,
It was specifically this episode that made me give up on the series. The dance number wasn't in time with the music and this drawing is lifeless (no pun intended, but you can take it). It's cleaned up nicely, but otherwise, has no depth or personality to it.
What this guy is good at is layout and turn arounds, which when sent to the animation machine that does all the work, has to follow this design to a T.
Watch the original short, and notice how each time a skeleton is drawn, there are micro errors that demonstrate how these films were made by hand. Adam here was able to get the lines nice and smooth and straight, thanks to the software that does that for him.
>Watch the original short, and notice how each time a skeleton is drawn, there are micro errors that demonstrate how these films were made by hand.
Of course it was hand drawn, it was done in 1929. Also, Skeleton Dance is one of the most iconic pieces of animation history also animated by one of the greatest, most influential animators of all time and produced as a short by Disney.
>What this guy is good at is layout and turn arounds, which when sent to the animation machine that does all the work, has to follow this design to a T.
Considering that he's a character designer, that is what the job is. As for the animation, it looked pretty fricking good for television. What a miserable snobby homosexual you are lol.
doing your best doesn't mean you did something well or that it should be immune to criticism. If doing my best at cooking and being a chef means I give you a lukewarm plate of rancid chicken that is guaranteed to give you food poisoning you'd be in the right to criticize it and not consume it
These guys are fricking pussies, Big Mouth was trending the day Inside Job was cancelled because everyone wanted that shit to be cancelled instead but you don't see the people that work on that show jump on social media to make passive aggressive remarks about how the mean bullies hurt their feelings. >everything is made by talented people doing their best
This implies either >their best simply isn't good enough to produce a product that people can enjoy
or >they were trying to make the show awful on purpose
He's a stupid douche if he's proud of that, and people are only impressed by the work of stupid dishes because there aren't enough alternatives. There's no new cartoonists making work on the calibre of Samurai Jack
If they were trying to their best they wouldn't work on something like velma. They wouldn't apply and they would refuse to have any involvement. They don't care about the travesty it inflicts on the art form or the negative impact it has on people such as the hateful depictions of male / female relationships - they just care about their self-interest.
do you not have anything else to do in your life?
> oh no animation discussion
You people say such God damned worthless things
this entire thread has overlooked something common sense
somebody said 'be polite', oh dear, oh god, the horror. yes op's guy was trying to guilt trip people, but the second person seemed more reasonable - it is fun to mock it a bit it but if you're going to talk to the show staff directly it helps to drop the mockery and be an adult and explain your dislike sensibly.
and actual abuse is really cringeworthy, because you are giving those people among the staff who would play the victim the chance to do so by actually making them a victim, and you make everyone else look less credible.
>it helps to drop the mockery and be an adult and explain your dislike sensibly
This has always been a weird notion to me. Civility reciprocates civility, but it doesn't make something better. Your kindness doesn't magically make someone else more competent at their job. Frankly, that's not the goal of most audiences.
Step back for a moment. Why would audiences want to be kind and helpful to a bad director, a bad actor, a bad writer, or a bad animator, when the most expedient option is to get rid of them and give someone else a chance?
We have had a century of film making, and millennia of writing. These people needn't be taught universal basics by the audience. In fact, it's arrogant to think that way. Few will admit this, but I guarantee you, polite writing pointers and discussion about animation theory from amateurs is far more grating to a creator than a simple "you suck, fricking die."
We do not need to engage at the same level, because they never would. They just want to stop rightfully exasperated people from expressing their frustrations with an appeal to politeness. It's passive aggressive. They might as well add "bless your heart" at the end of every sentence.
i never said it had to be something really detailed. the fact is that it's a good idea because it might make them think a bit.case in point is the forbidden horse cartoon. season 3 was a half length mess, and the staff openly ackbowledged that and said they'd do better. this is because the criticism was mostly polite, with a touch of sarcasm.
at any rate it takes the wind out of their sails if they want to play the victim card, and if they still try it and act outraged, they look like idiots. it helps keep the good relationship between fans and staff and also just keeps the conversation manageable.
I have a long history of interacting with industry people - they only ask for politeness because they want to be talking to complacent children
If you give some criticism, that will be taken by itself as an example of you being "rude, hateful, mocking," Etc they would laugh at me when I showed signs of vulnerability as a teenager
And the horse show isn't my idea of a fricking well-made cartoon, although it's certainly not like the calarts stuff
This! Be fricking nice to people for once in your life
Criticism isn't about being nice, it's about doing your job properly. When people see a well-made cartoon, that will be nice to see
STOP TALKING ABOUT THIS SHOW, GOOD OR BAD, JUST LET IT FRICKING DIE YOU'RE GIVING THEM EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT YOU GAY moronS
Yeah just ignore the people conspiring to do evil, worked back in 2012 on Tumblr
............. theyre not though. theyre just asking people to stop giving them backhanded compliments directly??? is this board really this autistic.
This! What is wrong with you people? Why are you so autistic? Just leave these people alone already.
They make cartoons for children, they have a noble and important purpose they are shirking
No I don't care that this one is supposed to be "for adults," no real adult can tolerate that shit and they work on other cartoons too
>the fact is that it's a good idea because it might make them think a bit
Again, you're limiting options here. Better shows and having a constructive dialog with creators are not mutually inclusive. Most people here do not care to improve these creators or to convince them to change ideologically, philosophically, or artistically. They just want them out. In this circumstance, what sense does it make to be civil? Would you rather people say "bless your heart, but kindly leave the industry?" >at any rate it takes the wind out of their sails if they want to play the victim card
You're worried about a hypothetical contrary to the majority of reactions. People see through this passive aggressive whining. There's certainly not a lot of sympathy here.
This is another public example of a problem I've noted many times. Animators circle their wagons and defend each other regardless of merit. This behavior brings everyone down, because it weakens the industry overall. The most important thing for these people to learn is that the audience hates what they're doing. That's it. If they can't receive this message without a coating of sugar on top, they're part of the problem.

Well, it's still worth a shot. It's worked for me. To be clear if they start getting shitty I would take a pot shot back, but a small one so they can't try to get you banned. But nevertheless you make good points.
Horse Show had veteran animators who knew had to handle constructive criticism though.
I agree, but I looked at the comments on his art. >Great art! Show still sucks!
That was bothering him. There WERE intelligent criticisms about the show.
What really fricking sucks is that because he's so open about it, he's the magnet for people's aggression. Same opinion here
Of course he does, but the smart animators don't go up to bat for their shitty show.
Staff from The Prince came to the internet to speak out about how TERRIBLE the production was. This guy is in like some fever dream of animation where nothing could possibly go wrong so long as we all "get along".
He proudly supported the product he worked on, and then when people told him they hated it, and he's complaining that it's too much. That's a problem HE created.
Some Velma artists and crew members are asking people to stop being negative on there comments 🙁
Somebody please tell them to apologize for their awful show/awful product or else I will cut their hands off so they may never work on a show ever again.
The absolute audacity to DEMAND apologies when you're in the wrong sickens me. What is wrong with you all? How can you let them do this to themselves?
Threaten their fingers this very moment. Millennials who occupied positions in 2008+ need to know their goddamn places. Arrogant talentless hacks sucking corporate dick and their own dicks. I will not stand for this.
Every other creative field has people who understand that there's projects that you're doing to put bread on the table and the best you can do is be professional. Animators are ridiculous.
My man you can be proud of the work you did on a project and acknowledge that the final product was still crap, unsuccessful, or unpopular. You can do a good job at the task given to you and still come out on the other end with a failure. You don't need to get public approval to to value your work.
Someone can genuinely like a job they're at even if it sucks. It seems a weird addition to state that you hate the show that they work on when complimenting their work. That's like walking up to the architect of the Empire State Building and talking about how much you hate New York but love their building.
>That's like walking up to the architect of the Empire State Building and talking about how much you hate New York but love their building.
That analogy makes no fricking sense, since the architect didn't design New York, or work with, or even know any of the people who made any of the other buildings, and plenty of people have buildings they think adds to or detracts from a city's over all feeling.
And that is completely ignoring that there's plenty of reasons why someone might not like a city, that has nothing to do with the architecture.
This. I understand where they're coming from but why don't they use their talents to make actual good content instead of working on shit that they know nobody is going to like? Like there's no way when they were making this they actually thought it would be received positively.
>but why don't they use their talents to make actual good content instead of working on shit that they know nobody is going to like
Because that's not how the TV animation pipeline work, when it comes to working, you have to take on what you get
I never judge people working on a bad show because it's just a fricking job. People need to eat.
That said, I won't pretend I don't think it's bad. I haven't given anyone a hard time personally about it. But I'll say if I think something is bad. It's just an opinion.
I know they need to put food on the table. I'm not trying to condemn them for that, if that's how it came off that's not what I was going for. It's just if you take on a project that is shit, you can't get mad when people say it's shit.
>Like there's no way when they were making this they actually thought it would be received positively.
They probably honestly did. They probably thought Twitter would love this show with how much it panders to them.
Someone should've told them pandering to Twitter is a bad idea.

The writers know better than to appear on social media. There was a kid friendly childrens' book series the writer Brad Meltzer promoted on Twitter, until every reply was the scene of Doctor Light raping Sue Dibny and that was that.
Most artists with experience will have worked on this and moved on, not caring about it much.
The thing is that animation is super high turnover and relies heavily on excited and motivated idiot kids doing a ton of work for little pay. The kind of people that entails are kids like OP pic that have their entire emotional life tied up in their first big show.
It's like how nurses are mostly emotional idiots because only an emotional idiot would accept such shit pay just because they're helping the sick.

Because it'll hardly ever be up to you per se. If you're "assistant storyboarder n°2" or the intern that spends 12 hours a day coloring velma's skin the right shade of poo in every frame, you might be talented but you have no say whatsoever in what your talent is used for. Then at the top is mindy kaling and 2, maybe 3 execs she's friends with and she goes "hey I had this great idea for a scooby doo spinoff where velma is literally me", threads are pulled and "talented people" are hired to work on that. You know how many shitty movies patrick stewart has been on? Talented doesn't mean the final product won't be shit.
Reminds me of the Pfizer R&D director who just got caught by Project Veritas. When he called the police, the only accusation was "There are 5 White people here" and that made him feel unsafe. Words hurt. Be kind.
Racist shit in cartoons and media leads to people actually acting racist, believe it or not. Kinda college you have to pay for them, but public education provides them for highschool and below, they come out of tax dollars though but often they’re not up to date because the school put money elsewhere when they get it. Usually sports equipment or stadium repairs, in the hope that parents will spend a bunch of money on on the sports stuff so they can get extra pocket cash. It often fails and blows up in there face and they have to use books 3 years old or older for putting all there eggs in the sports basket.
The art is by far the best part of the show, is one of the few things enjoyable on it. I know he probably just want to be supportive of his friends since I bet the writing team is the one taking the brunt of the shit but is hard not to notice how a show that has some pretty writing actually has some cool looking shots, colors and even designs.
I could be less negative about the show, but I wouldn't do it for free. If one of those asian chicks that worked on the crew posted those
brown nippled delicious flat chests of hers and I probably could distort enough the truth to pretend that there are other things worth being salvaged in the show that are not only the art.

And the list goes on and on. What? Did they want Velma to be the perfect girl, Truth, Justice, and the American Way?
>I'm proud that i smeared shit on the wall and got paid for it.
It's lame to bully him, but equally, maybe this was the worst job to put on your resume and being dogged on is valid.
We need to return to the time when every single name except the main creator in a cartoon is a faceless entity. Nobody cares what one small gear in a project worked on and we sure as hell don’t care about their opinions on anything
people should shit on bad content to make it clear that said content should not be made.
however, i do agree with the "don't like it don't watch it" part. velma specifically, feels like it was made to piss people off, so the higher ups likely don't give a shit about reception as long as people keep hatewatching.
>many talented people!!!! >shitfricking writers who lost "write a nice story" to a 1st grader, probably got this job because of nepotism
Next time have a fricking spine instead of crying like a baby on.. what is that, instagram? At least babies cry because they need food, not foot licking. Damn, he probably sent his work and his superior had to re-do everything he did
If you chose to work in entertainment you MUST expect death threats and admit you agreed to it when you signed up, otherwise don't go into working in it.
>If you have nothing good to say then say nothing
It's called feedback. It's purpose it to get the message across that the project is crap and nothing like it should be attempted again.
I wonder how many people actually tried to make a project passion of their own, with actual hopes or intentions of wanting it to succeed or be good in one way or another. Velma may be shit, don't get me wrong, but it's like anything else people critique or dislike, after awhile, the whole "critique" aspect, is gone and it's just people coming in waves hating something specific. But that's just me though.
Hopefully the cast or staff get to work on something that they equally like, and gets well received by fans and critics
"Hey, we had literally no control over the writing, its fine to not like the show, but death threats are a bit too far"
"LOL, FRICKING LIBTARD PUSSIES, have a nice day"
-this thread in a nutshell
It's the prerogative of the audience to hold and express any opinions they wish. It's the prerogative of creators to ignore those opinions. If the criticism gets to be too much, then delete your instagram/twitter/facebook, close the computer, go outside and fly a kite.
This isn't to diminish their emotional suffering, it's just the way of the world. Some of these guys are too old not to understand this.
Honestly this. If they don't like the criticisms, then don't engage with it. >"But then I won't see the praise!"
If you can't take the criticism, then you don't deserve to get the praise.
If you don't like Velma, b***h on your own media profile. b***h on review sites. b***h at the business's main twitter account. But don't go bothering the artists. They're just doing a job. They're putting in their hours. And it doesn't make much sense yelling at a random artist because you didn't like the writing. It's not as if the entire industry can just put down their jobs and not work simply because some executive wants to force through a terrible project - people have to work, and most don't get the luxury of choosing where that work goes towards.
Although saying that Velma is the highlight of your career is pretty sad.
I agree, but if you're bringing attention to yourself by telling critics to shut the frick up and that you loved working on the bad show, then I don't feel bad for people turning on you
>game devs go to their publisher with an idea to reboot a franchise >the idea is good, they make the game really good and it sells well >blackrock sees the reboot doing numbers >oy gevalt, we can use that series as a tool to spread the message >blackrock pays the publisher to make a woke sequel >devs can see that the game will be shit but are forced to make it
many such cases
Vanguard isn't the sequel to CoD 2019. CoD 2022 is.
Battlefield 2042 isn't the sequel to BF1, BFV is. And both 1 and V were accused of sneaking wokeness into the game, and so was CoD2019.
The only reason these kind of people keep getting jobs is because the whole industry is filled to the brim with them.
I wish I didnt give a shit about animation as a medium.
It seems like these artists just want to post their work without a bunch of autistic people leaving comments about the quality of the show being terrible. You can hate that but it's a reasonable request, especially considering these people had nothing to do with the show's writing. Blame the showrunners.
>have a show that episode by episode, directly shits on white males using the main protagonist remake of an iconic family loved character who existed for generations >try to play up the "it's just a nice project with a loving staff and if it's not to your taste, no need to be mean to us" card
lmao, that's hilariously tone deaf (or it would be if they obviously didn't know what they were doing)
Sorry that's my cut off point for pity. It's a particularly bad show. (but the animation is generally fine! rather unfortunately a lot of passion went into something built on a garbage foundation! it's why people say they like your work and hate the show!)
Yes, before then 7-year-olds would send actual mail to their favorite characters at the studio, now it's adults shitposting with other shitposters and getting mad that the other party is shitposting in literally a >us ____ must rise up against them!
Like those old joker gamer shitposts.
This is going to end up like that one terrible show where some staff started a "sympathize with me!!!" gofund me to aid in their psychiatrist bills for being depressed for working on a cartoon everyone ragged on them for
People trot this shit out everytime something of low quality comes out
This bit, """"""""death threats"""""""", "stop talking about things you dislike", "why are you so negative", fricking anything to keep people from mentioning how bad something is
>If cooks make you shitty food you're free to shit on them for it >If contractors do a shitty job you're free to shit on them for it >But if animator yuppies are working on a shitty project you're not allowed to shit on it
IHollywood shit is always like this, who the frick do they think they are that they're above criticism and insults when they do a dogshit job
Oh boo fricking hoo.
Your show isn't being met with the blind probably paid praise you're used it to.
How about instead of b***hing to us you use this to learn how to improve your next project. I don't normally shit on the artists/animators because it genuinely is very hard and thankless work. But this "woo is me, all this complaining" shit is so fricking entitled
this entire thread has overlooked something common sense
somebody said 'be polite', oh dear, oh god, the horror. yes op's guy was trying to guilt trip people, but the second person seemed more reasonable - it is fun to mock it a bit it but if you're going to talk to the show staff directly it helps to drop the mockery and be an adult and explain your dislike sensibly.
and actual abuse is really cringeworthy, because you are giving those people among the staff who would play the victim the chance to do so by actually making them a victim, and you make everyone else look less credible.
i never said it had to be something really detailed. the fact is that it's a good idea because it might make them think a bit.case in point is the forbidden horse cartoon. season 3 was a half length mess, and the staff openly ackbowledged that and said they'd do better. this is because the criticism was mostly polite, with a touch of sarcasm.
at any rate it takes the wind out of their sails if they want to play the victim card, and if they still try it and act outraged, they look like idiots. it helps keep the good relationship between fans and staff and also just keeps the conversation manageable.
I want to see the show improve and to keep channels open between fans and showrunners
>I want to see the show improve
It was BROKEN before it was conceived. Everyone who was throwing money to make this show a reality is to blame for it's terribleness, and this artist happily gets paid to make it exist. That's fricking awful! It's not gonna get "BETTER" it just has eyes on it now because everyone's shocked that this even made it to completion while WB canceled many better products.
>while WB canceled many better products.
Let me say, that there were plenty of products that didn't need to get completed, but we lost Tuca and Bertie for this. >inb4 it wasn't very good to keep around either
It sure as hell wasn't perfect, but damn it wrote relationships better than most other female written products. We lost SPECKLE!
>customer yells obscenities at me >customer shits on their plate and hurls it at the wall >I finally break and ask "What the frick is wrong with you?" >Customer says theres no need for such crude language
frick this show, frick these creators, I don't give a shit. Call bad things bad, it's how we'll eventually get a chance at good things
Honestly the food industry is a completely different scene than animation.
If you want to compare the two, lets larp this concept: >you order a meal >It gets to your table and you hate it >you ask to find out why it's so bad >there are NDAs that prevent the employees from saying anything >you find out from other customers that they cook the food over seas >over 50 people are responsible for making the meal >and then they serve it to you >you look for rational people who agree it's trash >but still get push back from the restaurant's hard core fans >or normies who have no taste. >you find the social media of the waiter who served you to complain >he asks that people don't take their complaints to him >he's right, there is jack all he can do to make the food better >but he still endorses the methods used to cook the food.
Now imagine being a shill for a shitty practice like that?
I'd understand this lame softie behavior coming from people who make "Summer Camp Island" type stuff but it's fricking bizarre to work on an edgy show and not having the spine to stomach people hating it.
everything ive worked on ive expected people to dump on it more and majority of the people working on it know its shit. had a look here the day of release and it barely made a ripple considering the names attached. No use in caring what people think about it just move onto the next project
Consumer, it’s YOUR FAULT that you don’t like my show
Yeah...I have no idea how in the hell discourse turned into blaming the consumer for how badly a movie or show plays out.
Because the product is PERFECT! Clearly the only reason it is not the most cherished, beloved show ever is for political/misogynist reasons!
............. theyre not though. theyre just asking people to stop giving them backhanded compliments directly??? is this board really this autistic.
This! What is wrong with you people? Why are you so autistic? Just leave these people alone already.
Animation student point of view
>I still don't understand
Of course you don't, your animation culture is set up to avoid understanding. By not reading the Preston Blair book for example. I see students saying this as if it is a powerful statement when really it just shows how embarrassing you are
I don't get what you are trying to say here
I'm mostly talking about the show's narrative, not the animation quality.
former embroidery digitizer here
God bless Preston, without him we'd actually have to come up with original bulldog mascot designs
>Words hurt. Be kind.
Jesus. How old is this dude?
What do you think
They are proud of their racist and misandrist messaging in their show. The animator cries out in pain as Xe/They creates discriminating propaganda against you.
>Words hurt. Be kind.
Someone should tell that to the people who wrote Velma.
>Nobody knows who the frick these guys are
then why are they getting hate??
Because they worked on an bad show (∵)
First guy literally says he’s getting tons of compliments on his art. I doubt there’s any hate comments.
They aren't getting hate. The comments are literally saying that that people like their artwork but don't like the show itself.
yeah it is funny cause they are the same people who will tell you to walk into a Chik-Fil-A and harass the people working there cause the owners have opinions they don't like
Animators are cucks because they're rarely capable of making animation on their own. They NEED these productions so they have an "identity". No one cares about their problems, they did it to themselves.
Sorry bud, being a critic is FAR more work and takes greater skill than producing a show.
Judging something isn't that fricking hard.
thst guy's missing a few ribs I presume
I disagree with ~~*Saltz*~~ and you. Even the most shitty cartoon takes tons of time. Reviewers of all kinds, even the best of them, are just shouting in the wind to people who don’t care. Anyone can write up a finely worded paragraph about why they don’t like a movie. Anyone can turn on a camera and become a “professional reviewer” on YouTube.
>everything is made by talented people doing their best
One of my professors in college told us at the start of a massive project, just because you spend a long time on it doesn’t mean it’s not dogshit. I’m tired of seeing “we worked long and hard :(“ as an excuse for why people shouldn’t call bad things bad
It could also be seen as an insult.
>They worked hard, but its still shit. What does that say about their talent?
>just because you spend a long time on it doesn’t mean it’s not dogshit
It's sad that Cinemaphile understands this cartoon better than most animation school grads ever will
It's funny Masahiro Sakurai put out a video saying just this with game development. Literally said players don't care how hard you worked if the game is still not fun.
Isn't this show openly racist?
This is Cinemaphile, why do you care if something is racist
Because these people are crying that people are being mean to them, when they're making antagonistic content.
The animator cries out in pain as They/Them makes propaganda against you.
Racist rhetoric in media like Velma leads to people becoming racist in real life because they think it's ok and want to be like the cool people they see on TV. Monkey see monkey do.
I highly doubt some scientist form an medicine company become "racist" (ei, said something critical about white people, but apparently the left are the oversensitive ones) because he watched an Scooby Doo cartoon
>Karens calling the police on random black people are just being "critical"
lol
and
Are telling me two different things about this /misc/ off topic shit
How do those two things contradict each other?
>Some Pfizer guy called the police on some black people
>Some Pfizer guy also called the police on some white people
Again, why dose this matter, what is even an Pfizer, is he important or something
Where in
did it say white people? Are you saying black people cant be journalists? What the frick? Youre a racist piece of shit arent you
>You're a racist piece of shit aren't you
>he thinks people larping is real racism
I wish you election tourists never came here
Larping?
That's right, everyone knows that we here at Cinemaphile love israelites, love the LGBTQ and love sexualising children!
>Cinemaphile doesn't sexualize children
>Cinemaphile
>cp and e-girl haven
There's more CP on fricking twitter than in this shithole.
More e-girl too for that matter.
twitter has more users
the question is per capita
Agree, anon. Twitter has more people, and so it's got a smaller percentage of pedos.
Some people who use Cinemaphile, also have a twitter. There can very likely be MORE pedos on Cinemaphile than twitter due to a smaller user base.
>and love sexualising children
>Bri'ish spelling
go get raped in a cab
>liberals turns out to be a closet racist to black people
oh no who could have predicted this. Anyway
>I highly doubt some scientist form an medicine company become "racist" (ei, said something critical about white people, but apparently the left are the oversensitive ones) because he watched an Scooby Doo cartoon
Shows like Velma and the media and education system promoting this racist message leads directly to people like the Pfizer R&D Director becoming racist and calling the police because he was afraid of "5 white people" and believing that would lead to them getting arrested.
Buddy, we literally call people Black folk all the time, why the frick do you suddenly care when same thing happens to you
Free Speech or no speech, you can't have both ways
There is no such thing as racist against white people. Grow up.
Tbf, there are some twats on Twitter that are saying the show is also racist towards POC over multiple reasons
Also, the leftists are saying you can, ever since JK Rowling did something racist recently towards the Polish recently
So they're changing their own rules just so they can get back at JKRowling.
When will you morons realise that progressive double standards aren't a bug, but a FEATURE?
We need them to cause actual crimes that can't be paid off into obscurity, first
Also when will they com back around to viewing puritan values as colonialist and xenophobic? Give me Libertine Values or give me death
Weren't those supposed "Libertine Values" what got us into this mess in the first place?
Some good they did when progtards run the show and the classical lolbies do nothing about it.
As if theocracy is a cure-all solution to the world's problems, when it would only result in ISIS copycats or ISIS sympathizing groups
You're stupid if you think that your prudish bogeyman have any power compared to the ones who are really in the institutions right now.
Will you blame the poor when you manage to oust every israelite from the system?
That's not even remotely what I was saying with my post.
Is your reading comprehension that low? Are you perhaps even a middle school dropout?
Are you so raped by conservatism that you think that only the most hardline, "intellectual" version of it can save society from collapse when the problem is an obsessive-compulsive addiction to viewing others as less than a person to justify controlling them?
>arguing in bad faith
>strawmanning, at that
I accept your concession.
JK Rowling making leftists malfunction haywire is my favorite thing in this timeline
Ok racist.
>BE KIND
>DO NOT CRITIQUE
>WE ARE HUMANS YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE US FEEL BAD
>CONSUME PRODUCT AND SHUT UP
I want to throw up.
>I may have botched the brain surgery, and the guy is now in a permanent coma, but I really tried my best! Why are you all so mean to me?!
Unfortunately doing your best just isn't good enough in some cases, like for example when you suck.
>everything is made by talented people
Not all of them are "talented" and we can stop pretending these reboots of samurai jack, clone high, animaniacs ect will suffice for anything watchable
>Words hurt. Be kind.
Alright then, how about a picture?
>You can't talk bad about the holocaust, because it was done by talented people who did their best
Sorry, I am not going to pretend your shitty show isn't shitty because my calling it shitty hurts your feewings.
God these two sound like little b***hes
Don't care, didn't ask
Wait, these aren't women??
Stop shitting on the whites then.
>stop shitting on bad content because people twed haard
have a nice day
>it took me a while to learn this
Funny when these types of people act as if them figuring out something that was already fricking obvious to everyone else means anything. No shit there's talented people behind even the worst of shows, that doesn't mean the show can't be mocked if it deserves it.
What a couple of pussies.
>everything is made by talented people doing their best. Yeah, I mean everything
Holy moly I laughed so hard it hurt.
>As for the animation, it looked pretty fricking good for television.
Raise your standards for quality you simpleton.
When the Cuphead game animation exists, the TV show is fricking garbage.
>communists
>upset
hilarious
doing your best doesn't mean you did something well or that it should be immune to criticism.
If they can't take criticism then they're honestly in the wrong field of work.
>you don't see the people that work on that show jump on social media to make passive aggressive remarks about how the mean bullies hurt their feelings
Of course not, they know Big Pedo will ensure they have comfy jobs for the forseeable future.
>Words hurt
>Be kind
FRICK OFF homosexual
Why do white guys with a tiny dick always screech like a Chihuahua when people aren’t nice to them.
>"I HATE WHITE PEOPLE I HATE WHITE PEOPLE I HATE WHITE PEOPLE"
>"Wha... Why is everyone mad at me?? Your words, they hurt my feelings 🙁 "
Is he fricking moronic?
>everything is made by talented people doing their best
This implies either
>their best simply isn't good enough to produce a product that people can enjoy
or
>they were trying to make the show awful on purpose
He's a stupid douche if he's proud of that, and people are only impressed by the work of stupid dishes because there aren't enough alternatives. There's no new cartoonists making work on the calibre of Samurai Jack
If they were trying to their best they wouldn't work on something like velma. They wouldn't apply and they would refuse to have any involvement. They don't care about the travesty it inflicts on the art form or the negative impact it has on people such as the hateful depictions of male / female relationships - they just care about their self-interest.
> oh no animation discussion
You people say such God damned worthless things
This is really not true. Most people who get stuck on some bullshit project are not trying their best. Why would they?
When everyone involved is trying their best it shows in the end product and it tends not to get dumped on.
Is this the same guy who was in charge of Mystery Incorporated
this entire thread has overlooked something common sense
somebody said 'be polite', oh dear, oh god, the horror. yes op's guy was trying to guilt trip people, but the second person seemed more reasonable - it is fun to mock it a bit it but if you're going to talk to the show staff directly it helps to drop the mockery and be an adult and explain your dislike sensibly.
and actual abuse is really cringeworthy, because you are giving those people among the staff who would play the victim the chance to do so by actually making them a victim, and you make everyone else look less credible.
that being said, ithe writing process was like scoob leaving something on the carpet and then rolling around in it
They still tried their best anon. We shouldn't really mock them.
This! How hard it is to be polite? Why are people this hostile to Tony?
>it helps to drop the mockery and be an adult and explain your dislike sensibly
This! Be fricking nice to people for once in your life
I have a long history of interacting with industry people - they only ask for politeness because they want to be talking to complacent children
Criticism isn't about being nice, it's about doing your job properly. When people see a well-made cartoon, that will be nice to see
Yeah just ignore the people conspiring to do evil, worked back in 2012 on Tumblr
They make cartoons for children, they have a noble and important purpose they are shirking
No I don't care that this one is supposed to be "for adults," no real adult can tolerate that shit and they work on other cartoons too
I agree 100%
What was it like when Viv twisted the knife in everyone's back, Luke
>the fact is that it's a good idea because it might make them think a bit
Again, you're limiting options here. Better shows and having a constructive dialog with creators are not mutually inclusive. Most people here do not care to improve these creators or to convince them to change ideologically, philosophically, or artistically. They just want them out. In this circumstance, what sense does it make to be civil? Would you rather people say "bless your heart, but kindly leave the industry?"
>at any rate it takes the wind out of their sails if they want to play the victim card
But nevertheless you make good points.
fair
Horse Show had veteran animators who knew had to handle constructive criticism though.
Bless your heart for that post, anon. 😉
I agree, but I looked at the comments on his art.
>Great art! Show still sucks!
That was bothering him. There WERE intelligent criticisms about the show.
What really fricking sucks is that because he's so open about it, he's the magnet for people's aggression. Same opinion here
Somebody please tell them to apologize for their awful show/awful product or else I will cut their hands off so they may never work on a show ever again.
You know, when they said that animation is for children, I thought they meant the viewers, not the animators.
>But WHITE PEOPLE, am I rite? XD
And that is completely ignoring that there's plenty of reasons why someone might not like a city, that has nothing to do with the architecture.
what pussies
>"Ugh, stop having opinions you CHUDS!"
People are really like this?
>Ewitin is made with love a desewes wespect : (
Would he say the same for "problematic" media?
do you not have anything else to do in your life?
>Velma is the highlight of my career
Jeez and I thought I was a loser.
Reminder that people are in their 30s - 40s
Tony Cervone is almost in his 60s
I'm 54 but I'm not a fricking baby like him
Tony worked on this shit? He's fallen a long way from his 2011 work
Don’t make a garbage show next time.
He technically didn't write it, just did the art for it
Anon said "make", not "write"
This. I understand where they're coming from but why don't they use their talents to make actual good content instead of working on shit that they know nobody is going to like? Like there's no way when they were making this they actually thought it would be received positively.
>but why don't they use their talents to make actual good content instead of working on shit that they know nobody is going to like
Because that's not how the TV animation pipeline work, when it comes to working, you have to take on what you get
I know they need to put food on the table. I'm not trying to condemn them for that, if that's how it came off that's not what I was going for. It's just if you take on a project that is shit, you can't get mad when people say it's shit.
Someone should've told them pandering to Twitter is a bad idea.
>I'm not going to work on that new Scooby Doo show, I rather sleep on the street
nice going, moron, animated shows get cancelled one after the other, artist don't have much of a choice anymore
Good, let the shows retire.
You seem to be moronic. Anon said “yeah I get that they need a job but don’t be surprised when people react exactly as they should have expected.”
I suspect you know this but you’re either incapable of replying to anything but “le incels don’t understand real life” or genuinely moronic.
expected of what? harassing artists for doing their job? if they don't like it, they should harass the people who need to see it, like the writers
>harassing
They can sign off life if they don’t want to see the mean words.
And if you make a mean spirited show you should expect mean spirited replies.
The homosexual even says people are complimenting the art while shitting on the show, so they’re not even saying it’s his fault.
Be less of a homosexual you massive fricking homosexual.
>And if you make a mean spirited show
they didn't make it, that's my fricking point
stop replying to me you massive homosexual
>they didn't make it, that's my fricking point
They did though… why deny reality?
>they should harass the people who need to see it, like the writers
OP guy has credits from 2013 so he's got to be at least in his 30s
Some nurses are older too
They're just as self-captive as the guy the thread is talking about
Want people who aren't like that working in cartoons? Then the whole industry pipeline has to change.
>It's like how nurses are mostly emotional idiots because only an emotional idiot would accept such shit pay just because they're helping the sick.
What... what fricking world do you live in? What?
The real one where nurses get overworked on shit pay because they care about their patients and that means they can be exploited. They have no leverage for negotiating working conditions which is why the smart ones get out.
>you have to take on what you get
that includes abuse, when you make shit
I hear welding isn't problematic and it pays a lot better
it's a fricking JOB
Their generation got real cozy with damning other working professionals over stupid shit, it's coming home and now they can pay attention to the projects they take
what stupid shit are you talking about, schizo?
>Like there's no way when they were making this they actually thought it would be received positively.
They probably honestly did. They probably thought Twitter would love this show with how much it panders to them.
It's a fricking job.
I never judge people working on a bad show because it's just a fricking job. People need to eat.
That said, I won't pretend I don't think it's bad. I haven't given anyone a hard time personally about it. But I'll say if I think something is bad. It's just an opinion.
Gigs a gig. The market is super competitive, so you work the jobs you can actually book which are not always the ones you want.
Reminds me of the Pfizer R&D director who just got caught by Project Veritas. When he called the police, the only accusation was "There are 5 White people here" and that made him feel unsafe. Words hurt. Be kind.
>Pfizer
What the frick dose the vaccine has to do with an cartoon polhomosexual
NTA, but the guy had a freakout because he was black, and 'five white people' caught him spouting bullshit.
Okay...?
Again what the frick dose some random homosexual who got overwhelmed at some medicine company have to do with Velma
Because?? It means?? No one wants to watch?? Preachy shit?? And the creators/Pfizer fricker are getting mad when people call them out.....?????? On their bullshit????
>caught him spouting bullshit.
He wasn't spouting bullshit, he was spouting things about Pfizer's work on gain of function research aka "directed evolution" that he is under an NDA to not talk about to an undercover journalist he met on Grindr. Then he had a mental breakdown when he was confronted with video of him breaking his NDA the next day.
Racist shit in cartoons and media leads to people actually acting racist, believe it or not. The Pfizer R&D director who just got clowned on in the NYC pizza place and had a mental breakdown and smashed someone else's ipad after calling the cops on "5 white people who made him feel unsafe" because they were white is one such example.
I guess my question is why do they think such a spiteful, mean spirited show isn’t already spreading negativity?
Thing is, people are just npc hating on a decent show because it's trendy to do so.
This! It's really good, you people are just sheeple.
>Velma is a height of this guy's career
Poor bastard.
still looks better in the portfolio than shit like Family Guy, Smiling Friends or Rick and Morty
get real, moron
then they say what show it's from
everyone can see that? you're a whole different level of moronic
5 years from now when Velma is as notable to the Scooby Doo franchise as Get a Clue?
Most people will probably say it's from Venture Bros
You mean massively popular shows that have lasted for years is bad for your portfolio?
I'd ask them to stop being negative on white people and other kyriarchs but they won't, so I won't
15 years old butt
>School books
>FREE
Excuse me? Do Americans actually get their school books for free?
Kinda college you have to pay for them, but public education provides them for highschool and below, they come out of tax dollars though but often they’re not up to date because the school put money elsewhere when they get it. Usually sports equipment or stadium repairs, in the hope that parents will spend a bunch of money on on the sports stuff so they can get extra pocket cash. It often fails and blows up in there face and they have to use books 3 years old or older for putting all there eggs in the sports basket.
They aren't real
They aren't even that good looking
what character is that?
I watched the first 2 episodes of Velma and hated it, but now I'm up to episode 6 and kind of like it.
Oh so now being cancelled on social media is bad now that it's happening to you
The art is by far the best part of the show, is one of the few things enjoyable on it.
>Stop expressing your own opinions
So we're at this point now, huh
Do not visit Cinemaphile or look at social media if you are a creative working in the industry.
Coelasquid and Bloochikin CAME FROM here
Holy shit, if working on Velma is the highlight of his career, what did he do before? Mop up jizz at mexican donkey shows?
>what did he do before
https://adamfayillustration.com/
Shit, he's responsible for A LOT OF TRASH. How the frick does he get picked up to be apart of these programs? Just says yes to getting his balls stomped on?
Trash projects need trash labor. What, you think people with actual prospects and talent volunteer to work on this kind of stuff?
>Close Enough
>The Cuphead Show
>Harley Quinn
>Trash
はい
Yes.
>final space
Yeesh, Velma actually was an upgrade for him
>Animaniacs, Harley Quinn
These shows are inherently spiteful and angry. I have no doubt this man is spiteful and angry himself.
>I have no doubt this man is spiteful and angry himself.
Ooooor, maybe because they are all Warner Bros cartoons? And it makes sense to hire the same artists for the different shows?
Again, he's simply just an artist and animator
"Dude, I just work here!"
>3/5ths of his most recent shows hate their audience, and hate people in general
an animator probably doesnt have much or any saying on the writting and direction department
he is probably closer to the chinisse freelancer trying to replace him
Of course he does, but the smart animators don't go up to bat for their shitty show.
So nothing good.
So he’s worked on mostly shit projects, you’d think he’d be used to being told the shows he works on suck by now
Probably some clown right out of college that thinks being involved in a “big” project is an achievement
> being involved in a “big” project is an achievement
I mean, yeah it is. Its hard as shit getting those gigs and getting your first one is a big deal. Once you have one it makes getting other shit a lot easier.
>Mop up jizz at mexican donkey shows?
Been to a few myself, I feel bad for the guy who is on clean up duty
>comparing making 90k to a custodian job
They got paid and had fun. And the butthurt guaranteed them more work. Meanwhile Cinemaphile and the Internet are bleeding from the rectum over a cartoon.
This shit would have died if people weren’t babies.
>90k in California
That donkey jizz mopper has a better quality of life
Nah man. 90k is pretty fricking sweet. If you want to “donkey” it up, go for it.
You could unironically buy dozens of donkeys and produce your own shows on that salary.
90k is sweet if you don’t live in California where a one bedroom in the ghetto costs 800k
>90k
So you're saying he lives in a basement broom closet with two hispanic families.
Anon, have you ever had a job?
Yes, I have a very nice job. I also don't live in California.
I don’t think you grasp how fricked inflation in California is. 90k is a pretty solid wage in 47 states. California, New York and Hawaii operate on an entirely different scale and $90k isn’t piss there
It’s costly, but 800k for a room or whatever warped impression you and other anons have is hilariously deluded. 90k will get you a halfway decent apartment some 20 minutes away from a studio or whatever. Again, you’re correct, but your blowing it out of proportion.
This. I live in California and it's comfy as frick.
This! They're fricking winners; why don't people see this?
I'm asking them to stop making woke garbage. They're not listening to me. I don't see why I should listen to them.
Why are Americans even upset about this show? It portrays them the way they are now
>the hate white people
>they sexualize kids or let's be real for once, the kids sexualize themselves by twerking, stripping, and taking ass pictures
>They look down at everyone and judge them
>Men get emasculated
And the list goes on and on. What? Did they want Velma to be the perfect girl, Truth, Justice, and the American Way?
>I'm proud that i smeared shit on the wall and got paid for it.
It's lame to bully him, but equally, maybe this was the worst job to put on your resume and being dogged on is valid.
We need to return to the time when every single name except the main creator in a cartoon is a faceless entity. Nobody cares what one small gear in a project worked on and we sure as hell don’t care about their opinions on anything
If someone "loved working on this show" he can eat shit
>I loved working on this show!
>p-please validate me
people should shit on bad content to make it clear that said content should not be made.
however, i do agree with the "don't like it don't watch it" part. velma specifically, feels like it was made to piss people off, so the higher ups likely don't give a shit about reception as long as people keep hatewatching.
The show is fine, it's a shame it's using the Scooby Doo IP.
This. Why do people hate it so much if it's really good?
>many talented people!!!!
>shitfricking writers who lost "write a nice story" to a 1st grader, probably got this job because of nepotism
Next time have a fricking spine instead of crying like a baby on.. what is that, instagram? At least babies cry because they need food, not foot licking. Damn, he probably sent his work and his superior had to re-do everything he did
If you chose to work in entertainment you MUST expect death threats and admit you agreed to it when you signed up, otherwise don't go into working in it.
if your content demonizes half the audience yeah pretty much
Welcome to Earf
It deserves to be hated
"Hey, we had literally no control over the writing, its fine to not like the show, but death threats are a bit too far"
"LOL, FRICKING LIBTARD PUSSIES, have a nice day"
-this thread in a nutshell
Death threats do literally nothing.
I’m a liberal and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that they are just being massive pussies who clearly can’t take a single ounce of criticism
Shut up, Jobbers.
No one is botching at the random artists. They just b***hing on Twitter, and the artists are too stupid to just block the topic.
"If you block your enemies, they win."
- Justin Trudeau
I agree, but if you're bringing attention to yourself by telling critics to shut the frick up and that you loved working on the bad show, then I don't feel bad for people turning on you
Thats like trying to repel ants by splashing Coca-Cola on the ground.
>game devs go to their publisher with an idea to reboot a franchise
>the idea is good, they make the game really good and it sells well
>blackrock sees the reboot doing numbers
>oy gevalt, we can use that series as a tool to spread the message
>blackrock pays the publisher to make a woke sequel
>devs can see that the game will be shit but are forced to make it
many such cases
Cartoons?
Vanguard isn't the sequel to CoD 2019. CoD 2022 is.
Battlefield 2042 isn't the sequel to BF1, BFV is. And both 1 and V were accused of sneaking wokeness into the game, and so was CoD2019.
>provable facts
who the hell do you think you are
Dammit, sorry, thought I was still on Cinemaphile.
The only reason these kind of people keep getting jobs is because the whole industry is filled to the brim with them.
I wish I didnt give a shit about animation as a medium.
Imagine working in a restaurant full of rats and expect people to no complain about your food
It seems like these artists just want to post their work without a bunch of autistic people leaving comments about the quality of the show being terrible. You can hate that but it's a reasonable request, especially considering these people had nothing to do with the show's writing. Blame the showrunners.
The rats crawled all over the ingredients, be nice!
>have a show that episode by episode, directly shits on white males using the main protagonist remake of an iconic family loved character who existed for generations
>try to play up the "it's just a nice project with a loving staff and if it's not to your taste, no need to be mean to us" card
lmao, that's hilariously tone deaf (or it would be if they obviously didn't know what they were doing)
>Have an obnoxious and outwardly hostile marketing campaign
>WHY IS EVERYONE BEING SO MEAN
"and I genuinely like the show myself"
Sorry that's my cut off point for pity. It's a particularly bad show. (but the animation is generally fine! rather unfortunately a lot of passion went into something built on a garbage foundation! it's why people say they like your work and hate the show!)
Is this an unfortunate side effect of industry people directly interacting with fans that wasn't possible an odd 15 years ago?
Yes, before then 7-year-olds would send actual mail to their favorite characters at the studio, now it's adults shitposting with other shitposters and getting mad that the other party is shitposting in literally a
>us ____ must rise up against them!
Like those old joker gamer shitposts.
This is going to end up like that one terrible show where some staff started a "sympathize with me!!!" gofund me to aid in their psychiatrist bills for being depressed for working on a cartoon everyone ragged on them for
No exceptions. No excuses. Every time. Cope and seethe.
People trot this shit out everytime something of low quality comes out
This bit, """"""""death threats"""""""", "stop talking about things you dislike", "why are you so negative", fricking anything to keep people from mentioning how bad something is
If I were involved in a show that the entire internet hated, I would say nothing.
>If cooks make you shitty food you're free to shit on them for it
>If contractors do a shitty job you're free to shit on them for it
>But if animator yuppies are working on a shitty project you're not allowed to shit on it
IHollywood shit is always like this, who the frick do they think they are that they're above criticism and insults when they do a dogshit job
oh no its so hard to have a job, let me check how often people defend me when i frick up at my job
Velma mogs the shit out of Smiling Friends 🙂
See
You're part of the problem
STOP TALKING ABOUT THIS SHOW, GOOD OR BAD, JUST LET IT FRICKING DIE YOU'RE GIVING THEM EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT YOU GAY moronS
See
I want to see the show improve and to keep channels open between fans and showrunners
We lost SPECKLE!
>customer yells obscenities at me
>customer shits on their plate and hurls it at the wall
>I finally break and ask "What the frick is wrong with you?"
>Customer says theres no need for such crude language
frick this show, frick these creators, I don't give a shit. Call bad things bad, it's how we'll eventually get a chance at good things
Honestly the food industry is a completely different scene than animation.
If you want to compare the two, lets larp this concept:
>you order a meal
>It gets to your table and you hate it
>you ask to find out why it's so bad
>there are NDAs that prevent the employees from saying anything
>you find out from other customers that they cook the food over seas
>over 50 people are responsible for making the meal
>and then they serve it to you
>you look for rational people who agree it's trash
>but still get push back from the restaurant's hard core fans
>or normies who have no taste.
>you find the social media of the waiter who served you to complain
>he asks that people don't take their complaints to him
>he's right, there is jack all he can do to make the food better
>but he still endorses the methods used to cook the food.
Now imagine being a shill for a shitty practice like that?
May I suggest anime instead, Cinemaphile?
I'd understand this lame softie behavior coming from people who make "Summer Camp Island" type stuff but it's fricking bizarre to work on an edgy show and not having the spine to stomach people hating it.
everything ive worked on ive expected people to dump on it more and majority of the people working on it know its shit. had a look here the day of release and it barely made a ripple considering the names attached. No use in caring what people think about it just move onto the next project
No. And i'm going to be even meaner now.
You knew the risks.
