This is a red herring, he’ll show up for 10 minutes at most in the opening, job to Chameleon (as he does in the trailer) and then the rest of his “appearance” will be Chameleon as him fighting Po or the 5 before revealing herself.
He will NOT be a major role in the film, he will NOT be redeemed, and he will NOT be the dragon warrior.
Yeah, the most disappointing possible option is probably the one they went with.
