Sonic Prime is cringe.
MCU tier quips and can't commit to actual multiverse. All the dimensions are basically Sonic's friends in different hats, lord forgive we get actually interesting multiverses. For example there's not going to be a "What if Sonic was evil?" universe because Ken Penders will sur Sega for ripping off Scourge.
Should have stuck with the bad timeline universe instead of pirate world and jungle world. I do like RoboAmy in no way associated with certain half robot rabbit.
Best alternative Amy comes from Egg Yolk
Best alternative Tails comes from Egg Yolk
Best alternative Rogue comes from Egg Yolk
Only best alternative Knuckles comes from Sea World
They really should've just stuck with only the bad timeline, yeah, and introduced more franchise characters instead.
Your opinion does matter more to you than mine, that is fact, but it's blatantly obvious each world is only meant to offer one character. Nines from New Yolk, Thorn from Boscage Maze and Dread from No place. These are the characters you're meant to focus on, and Rusty Rose is blatantly the Dragon to the Council thus she has a special exemption status.
Sucks Rouge didn't get a world to represent her.

It is shame out of 5 worlds one is a desolate landscape and one is a glitched out original.

She seemed to side with Dread quite readily, she'll probably chill in water world with other Amy.
i think it's funny once SoA stopped using the freedom fighters concept, SoJ picked it up.
i hear that didn't go so well. they'll never go back now. they'll just copy marvel from now on.
my biggest problem with the show is how fricking lifeless the entire setting feels, like the characters were just dumped onto a bunch of low budget film sets, none of the worlds feel lived in or convincing, not even the "prime" one, new yolk is the only world that comes kind of close because it has the better counterparts and shows more of the consequences, but even then it just doesn't feel like a true lived-in setting

this, it should've just been the one parallel world, they probably would've had more room to work with if that was the case
Can anyone of you talk about anything Sonic related without bringing up Archie? You're not going to enjoy anything if you immediately expect it to be like Archie.
It's the same autism as to why if it's not SA2B/SA3 it's not "real Sonic".
I still don't understand why there are multiple Eggmen in one dimension. Was that ever explained in the show?
It's the fact he had his hand on it when it cracked while the other 4 were far enough way to have them split copmletely into their own universes. It's why Sonic never split the same way, it his speed kept him connected, Eggman being the closest had him split up but stayed in one dimension, while everyone else was plopped elsewhere but including in his dimension as slaves.
Shadow stated he was unaffected because he used the Chaos Emerald to warp into the void alongside Sonic, but not directly travel between worlds because he lacks the direct connection with the prism energy that Sonic had via his speed.
Why the frick is 95% of the episode just badly animated fights? where is the story? It feels like I'm watching a Marvel movie. Feels like a rollercoaster than a storytelling medium.
Every other Sonic media, including games, have shit dogshit animation. Only Boom (the game, yes, the game) has better animations for the more dialogue focused scenes.
The series makes me sad for multiple reasons. Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Eggman, Big, and Rouge only really appear in the first episode and are then replaced with multiverse imposters from then on and said imposters differ from episode to episode. They also barely do anything interesting with the multiverse premise as there’s fanservice and no interesting dimension besides new yoke city, and even that feels like it’s still only scratching the surface of its potential. Image trying to cash in on the multiverse trend and barely doing the stuff that makes people like multiverses. Sonic is also pretty annoying.
>Image trying to cash in on the multiverse trend and barely doing the stuff that makes people like multiverses.
See this is why I hate the MCU, it killed good standards.
I mean, I feel like even the mcu has done better at the multiverse than sonic prime. It did at least give some fanservice with no way home and while I haven’t watched what if but it at least seemed to have more interesting premises for alternate universes than sonic prime. I get that fanserivce is looked down upon so much now but with how many different adaptations of sonic there are, it’s disappointing to see incredibly generic dimensions like pirate themed dimension and jungle themed dimension with barely any world building or characters other than variants of the main cast to make them interesting instead of established sonic universes like archie, fleetway, aosth, the fricking manga, the only interesting one like people have said is new yoke city, and if there were more dimensions like that where it shows a sort of what if scenario like what if maria never died and became an evil scientist like eggman, what if chaos was never defeated and wreaked havoc on the planet, what if the echidna tribe never went away, frick even just what if sonic was evil would be more interesting. I honestly think fricking mlp did a better job at the concept sonic prime is trying to do just in its season 5 finale.
The problem is the fanbase. This wasn't some pandering porno of nostalgia, this show was designed for the newbie kids that got into the movie. That's literally what SEGA said this was fore. Not boomers, kids. It's not suppose to be for archiegays.
That's the problem surrounding this show, it's getting the expectation no other show got and didn't even promise anyone that was what it was suppose to be. If anything, this is basically going to keep becoming a problem about this fandom, it cann't accept not being pander to anymore, instad of being like how it was in the earl 2000s when Sonic was just doing whatever SEGA wanted to do with him and fans just eat it up because they were still kids. Now it's just boomers tired of still being here when they should have left years ago.
I'm not going to say what prime is is the best shit ever, but I will dismiss what people think Prime is not because it never promised to be that and it's extremely unfair people are doing this. It's like calling season 3 of Sonic X shit because it wasn't Sonic Heroes X. Or Boom is shit just because it wasn't Adventure styled. And trust me, neither of those examples were better off as is any less so than Prime because they all have mid elements about them because that's what Sonic is, mid. It never was the best shit ever, even in the 90s it was always competing with real quality that was Nintendo.
Making Sonic Prime center around other continuities would've been a bad move for the show because it would take away its own identity and just be reduced how “Hey, do you remember this other Sonic thing?!”. Regardless, it should've just had a regular multiverse as its premise and be more creative with it. And also get rid of its Green Hill Zone obsession – it's the most bizarre thing I've ever seen.
While I would have like some established continuities, I’m fine with them having it be based on new dimensions but I wish the dimension were more interesting and felt like actual worlds
The latest batch of episodes made me realize there are really only three actual dimensions in the show, the Eggman-ruled one, the jungle one, and the pirate one, that's it, and the show really makes an effort to stretch itself out on those three when that time should've been spent on more worlds.

Yeah, it’s odd how they only have three dimensions and two of them are just painfully generic
So far no but they are still doing flashbacks.
There is still the issue of: >Why aren't there random background characters in the Boscage >Why is the grim empty?
Sonic acts so weird in this show. He kinda acts like Paramount Sonic, but comes off so wimpy and annoying. Why did they take away his attitude and security?
His world and all his original friends are gone due to him fricking up everything. And he still keeps being witty most of the time. What the frick are you talking about?
You're just doing what the majority of Sonic fans do by picking your favorite version of the character and assuming he is the main one.
Sonic as a character and as franchise has been inconsistent since the very beginning.
Sonic acts too insecure and timid in the show. Sonic is supposed to confident even when the odds are against him. This has been a consistent trait with the character everywhere. He has been toned down. The fact you didn't notice this exposes how new you are to this series. Like, good fricking grief.
why the frick should I care anyway
I hate when Sonic acts like an butthole, like that british comic

I enjoyed playing some of the games on the emulator, and had a good time with some of the cartoons and movies (SatAM, OVA, the live actions movies, Prime now, and I should watch more Boom episodes some time)
His betrayal was grossly short sighted. Sends sonic off ahead to get the shard then double crosses him without giving him a chance to hand over the shard when he comes back. And his obsession with the shard is somewhat one note between being a b***h before getting it the first time.
Lame.
The show has good ideas, but it just doesn't use them well.
Sonic Prime is cringe.

I like Rusty Rose too, even if she is just "What if Amy was Bunnie Rabbot?".
Bunnie wasn't mind controlled and Rusty has no redneck accent
>Bunnie wasn't mind controlled
in the show
>no redneck accent
so, worse
why should I care about the shitty comics?
Best alternative Amy comes from Egg Yolk

Actually it's Thorn, Rusty Rose is just a consequence of the premise.
I like Rusty more than Thorn, and my opinion > yours
Your opinion does matter more to you than mine, that is fact, but it's blatantly obvious each world is only meant to offer one character. She seemed to side with Dread quite readily, she'll probably chill in water world with other Amy.
Again, New Yolk's Rebel is the main Rouge
>Should have stuck with the bad timeline universe
But then we'd be stuck with a worse SatAM.
i think it's funny once SoA stopped using the freedom fighters concept, SoJ picked it up.
i hear that didn't go so well. they'll never go back now. they'll just copy marvel from now on.
It's not really a multiverse
It's a collection of warped reflections. Presumably of the people present when the Prism broke

ME BEAUTY
I can't fricking stand him. He's the most generic, one-note character out of the already kind of boring show that is there.
I was really hoping that we would be getting more out of this by the second batch of episodes but nope. Frick this show.
I liked the take on a metal sonic that just annoys the shit out of Sonic
What no master emerald does to a mf
I was so relieved when they wrecked him
Why the frick is 95% of the episode just badly animated fights? where is the story? It feels like I'm watching a Marvel movie. Feels like a rollercoaster than a storytelling medium.
oh yeah because sonic is known for it's incredibly deep plots and not as an action series
that's why it worked so well.
the games had the gofast action, the shows had the story to follow.
too bad SoJ and SoA couldn't come together for sonic
>badly animated fights?
Opposed too?
Every other Sonic media, including games, have shit dogshit animation. Only Boom (the game, yes, the game) has better animations for the more dialogue focused scenes.
>Every other Sonic media, including games, have shit dogshit animation
>Sonic CD
>Sonic OVA
Lol, post proof then. CD is just Sonic running, and OVA has zero combat despite being animated by the same people that did DBZ.
Toei did CD, OVA was by Pierrot
mega out yet?
That's what I'm wondering.

Considering how Sonic was portrayed, that's probably a blessing
What was a blessing
That the other usuals didn't show up much compared to their alternate universe versions
>Image trying to cash in on the multiverse trend and barely doing the stuff that makes people like multiverses.
