All I'm saying is like Johnny and little Susan have seen worse shit in a movie, tv show, or when playing some game. Wolverine slicing someone's head off wouldn't even register outside of "Wolverine is so badass!"

I'm torn because I love Origins: Wolverine, but I'm kinda tired of Invincible-tier gore. It bores me.
He's low-tier, especially compared to his more superpowered peers, or ones with a better grasp on leadership, tactics, strategy, science, etc. he's doing about as much as you'd expect him to.
If were entering the New X-Men era then next season should push him as peak dad Wolverine. I want to see him caring for a bunch of mutant kids and yelling at Scott for trying to make them child soldiers.
No that'd be a couple seasons out.
New X-Men era is just new X-Men. Riot at Xaviers, Murder at the Mansion, Weapon Plus, etc.
Then there's Astonishing X-Men. The renewed focus on the school acting as a school, with Cyclops and Emma running the school as co-headmasters while Wolverine gets drunk and hangs with Luke Cage and Spider-Man and tries to frick Mary Jane. Then there's House of M and the Decimation era. Around then you might need to pause for Deadly Genesis so Scott can finally learn about his brothers and his father.
Then there's Endangered Species and Messiah Complex and Manifest Destiny with the move to California. Then there's Dark Reign and Utopia. More Messiah stuff. Necrosha and Second Coming. Maybe do Curse of the Mutants if they want to do a Jubilee vampire arc. And those are just the big arcs. There's Carey's X-Men, Ellis' Astonishing, all the different X-Force arcs... there's a lot to cover.
But literally all of that takes place between New X-Men and Schism where Logan suddenly starts caring about children in the line of fire.
>Magneto becomes the owner of the XMen >Magneto becomes the King of Genosha >Magneto fricks Rogue and cucks Gambit >Magneto is the most important piece for Bastions grand plan in the season finale
80% of this shit has been centered around Magneto, remove him from the story and what’s left? Jubilee trash and the same Cyclops/Jean/Logan triangle cuck cycle?
it's funny how wolverine gets sidelined if he is just a team member of the x-men in a cartoon show. and even funnier how this is exactly how he is in the comics if the story isn't about his personal life
At least in X-Men Legends 2 game he was one of the most broken characters especially if fully upgraded.
And in that crappy X-Men 3 prequel vidya his segments were easily the best part of the game.
That's gotta count for something, right?

At least the exorcism scene was cool, I guess. I wish adaptations would let him do more than be a blasty meathead though.

Haven't watched most of it but damn, so no Bishop/Storm romance?

>Bishop/Storm romance
Anon... That's his grandmother.

Anonymous
That was never confirmed.
Bishop is a mess of half-finished stories and retcons and contradictions. Portacio's design for Bishop had him as Pinoy. Harras wanted him to be black so they changed the colors but left everything else. Byrne hinted that he was Storm's grandson. Lobdell hinted that his grandmother was Monet instead. Claremont had Gateway claim him as a descendant. None of it makes any sense at all and nobody wants to explain it.

>Byrne hinted that he was Storm's grandson.
I understand your confusion, but Storm was confirmed as Bishop's grandmother way back in The Times of Life of Lucas Bishop #3, Page 17.

That's just subtext. No more of a confirmation than anything else that's been published.
I'm gonna repeat it again, what has Wolverine ever done in the original series other than job?
The coolest I remember is him barely beating Omega Red. In a flashback, because in the present day it's back to same usual jobbing he always did.
I think next season will follow a few groups, each with some of the original X-Men >Unity Squad
Will be half avengers, Half X-Men. Rouge, Captain America, maybe Quicksilver or something >The X-Men
Half of the X-Men will be here. Storm, Jean, Wolverine, Jubilee, etc and a group of younger mutants like Glob or Xorn or something >Rightclops
Cyclops, Emma Frost, maybe Beast, maybe Magneto as an advisor
They spent five and a half seasons adapting the Claremont era. Skipping most of the 90s makes sense, but why do you think they'd skip an entire decade of actually good comics like that?
The 00s was more strictly chronological than the Claremont era. The Messiah Trilogy doesn't make sense without House of M, which is all a prerequisite for AvX, and Rightclops doesn't make sense without the heightened stakes of the decade of comics that led up to it.
But how can you create Rightclops and then realistically return him to his classic status? Comics can reboot character development all the time, but in a series a character can't get away with such a drastic change unscathed.
So if I had to guess the next season will be them trying to run an actual school to house the Genoshan refugees, which is weird cause I feel like they kinda have to do AoA and that doesn't really fit in their timeline.
They don't need AoA, they had that Storm/Wolverine alt-future episode in the original series.
They really should do The Twelve, though. Wrap up Cable's arc.
>are muties buttholes again?
Does the day end in 'y?' Cap was telling Rogue that he'd help, but her recklessly charging in because of her dead boyfriend was making things worse, and that he has his own team to help deal with the matter without flipping the whole fricking table to do it, cue Rogue throwing a b***hfit and throwing his shield away because he was trying to be helpful while maintaining a level head about it.
It would be cool if they did a Wolverine spinoff show that took place in the X-Men ´97 canon, where they could adapt some of his solo adventures and get away with some of the violence.
What? Like go all gore on someone like in Invincible? Sheeeeesh bro this is for kidderinos who don't see worse in live action or when playing vidya.
actually, i wonder if this will happen, it's kinda becoming a thing to expect ultra violence on capeshit
All I'm saying is like Johnny and little Susan have seen worse shit in a movie, tv show, or when playing some game. Wolverine slicing someone's head off wouldn't even register outside of "Wolverine is so badass!"
Picturing the Storm kids getting corrupted by Uncle Wolverine
I'm torn because I love Origins: Wolverine, but I'm kinda tired of Invincible-tier gore. It bores me.
you had the whole original series of him doing something
Yeah well I want more ok???
Cry about it. He's got a live action movie coming out in two months.
You know when you get down to it Wolverine is just a somewhat strong guy with knives.
He's doing the right amount for the kind of shit they're facing.
He's about a second away from fricking Jean
And less than that from fricking Morph who can turn into Jean
That explains why he's always crying everytime something happens to morph
Morph, Jean, and Madeleine.
He's low-tier, especially compared to his more superpowered peers, or ones with a better grasp on leadership, tactics, strategy, science, etc. he's doing about as much as you'd expect him to.

Dude that was a great recap, can you do one from AXIS to Kraoka?
Wolverine kinda suffers when put into a kid's show. He can't stab anyone, drink, smoke, or even really cuck Scott effectively.
>character so flat that anything that doesn't involve disgusting habits or psychopath behavior makes them the character with the least going on
but enough about Magneto
I think both characters suck for different reasons, but you do you.
You're just media illiterate.
This doesn't work given he's the most important character of this series so far.
>he's the most important character of this series so far.
but enough about cyclops
>Magneto becomes the owner of the XMen

hopefully never.
Xmen more like Xjews
Yeah doesn't feel nice to have your fave character sidelined huh?
what's your fav character?
Nightcrawler
>Doesn't appear beyond X2 in the movies
>Never a part of the team officially in 90s X-men
>X-Men Evolution he's a comedy character
The 90's and 2000's really fricked him over so badly. He went from being an A-list X-Men down to jumping between C and B.
At least they've brought back kino swasbuckling Nightcrawler (which was only adapted in X-Men legends never in a show or movie)
Wolverine and the X-Men gave us swashbuckler Nightcrawler.
At least in X-Men Legends 2 game he was one of the most broken characters especially if fully upgraded.
And in that crappy X-Men 3 prequel vidya his segments were easily the best part of the game.
That's gotta count for something, right?
>don't like nightcrawler
>nightcrawler is always fully GOATed in video games
it's all so tiresome...
You think you have it bad? My favorite X-Man is Bishop.
Damn
>Have Bishop appear in Days of Future Past
>Give him one line and just have him die
>Have the time travel story be Wolverine
>Have Bishop appear in X-Men '97
>Promo material makes him out to be a core part of the cast
>Is written out three episodes in
At least the exorcism scene was cool, I guess. I wish adaptations would let him do more than be a blasty meathead though.

he's gonna return sooner or later.
>Morph turns into Quicksilver
>loses immediately
It’s tough being a Quicksilver fan.
I'm gonna repeat it again, what has Wolverine ever done in the original series other than job?
The coolest I remember is him barely beating Omega Red. In a flashback, because in the present day it's back to same usual jobbing he always did.
>what has Wolverine ever done in the original series other than job?
"killed" than one sentinel in revenge for morph
Dark Phoenix adapted the Wolverine Alone sequence that was a big part in making him a popular character in the first place.
The finale... of season 2. Season 3 is back to be Wolverine and the X-morons
What's the status of Sabretooth?
I can easily see them wanting to do a proper 1v1 that eats up a large chunk of the animation budget
I still waiting for Deadpool appear
Maybe as Cable rival/frienemy
I like Wolverine but I'm kind of glad he took a back seat this season. Oversaturation isn't a good thing and he isn't the leader of the X-Men.
>Soooo.... when is he going to do something?
He did Jean.
He's gonna go frick himself for the rest of the show.
i was sad that the 3 headed sentinel showed up instead of nimrod
probably next season I think they really wanted to give the other X men the spotlight as so many of the x men series have been wolverine focused
Never. They're focusing on X-Men characters that never get focus, which is everyone except Wolverine.
He took Maddie to the hospital
Without Beau DeMayo I bet s3 is going to be all about Wolverine.
>Whenever Wolverine's not on screen, all the other characters should be asking, "where's Wolverine?"
Did people really miss that era?
I think next season will follow a few groups, each with some of the original X-Men

I don’t think they’ll skip storylines. They’ll just go out of order. The original show went out of order too.
not him but they are really wienerteasing Rightclops

>forge fans
do they even exist?
So if I had to guess the next season will be them trying to run an actual school to house the Genoshan refugees, which is weird cause I feel like they kinda have to do AoA and that doesn't really fit in their timeline.
They don't need AoA, they had that Storm/Wolverine alt-future episode in the original series.
They really should do The Twelve, though. Wrap up Cable's arc.
They already wrapped up Apocalypse in the original series finale before they got that last minute fifth season extension.
Uncanny X-Force when?
who the frick cares? he's completely fricking overrated
also how are you not satisfied with the comedy bit when jean's water broke and the joke about apocalypse? that was hilarious
When there's robots to fight, tires to slash, or guns to slice in 2.
I just saw a clip of rogue throwing captain american's shield away, are muties buttholes again?
>again
>are muties buttholes again?
Does the day end in 'y?' Cap was telling Rogue that he'd help, but her recklessly charging in because of her dead boyfriend was making things worse, and that he has his own team to help deal with the matter without flipping the whole fricking table to do it, cue Rogue throwing a b***hfit and throwing his shield away because he was trying to be helpful while maintaining a level head about it.
I never realized how he wouldn't do anything until the story conveniently threw some robots at him so he could fight.
>Cyclops actually gets to do something after 20+ years of abuse
>Wolverine sidelined for half a season of tv
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Go watch Wolverine and the X-Men instead if you want him to be front and center.
It would be cool if they did a Wolverine spinoff show that took place in the X-Men ´97 canon, where they could adapt some of his solo adventures and get away with some of the violence.
