It’s all just the same. Nowadays I only get dopamine because of the anticipation of something, either a movie that’s coming out, a big footy match on the weekend, some trip I might have planned. It’s this never ending feeling of “just gotta get through this week”, and when the thing I’ve been waiting on all week comes, it gives me a spike of dopamine and leaves just as it came, leaving me as empty and numb as I was before.
Nothing changes, except I get older and more bitter.
