Just binged it as well.
First 3 movies are peak. The sets, the music, the special effects all hold up and are great. I didn't always get why Potter became so popular, but now I realize that it was probably the first of teenage fantasy series akin to Maze Runner, Divergent, etc., only miles better. Despite Rowlings shit writing, she hit the gold with the setting and characters.
Goblet of Fire just plain sucks and suprirsingly looks like a green pile of shit. Everything afterwards, albeit competently done is just whatever source material adapted into drap whatever movies.
Green, ugly mess of a movie with messy plot. Out of the entire series which looks fricking great most of the time it looks and plays like modern Marvel slop the most.
They all were. Even the later ones while having a lot more shitty green screen and weird almost full-on sepia color grading at times, still look pretty damn good.
3rd movie while having different aesthetic, had some amazing locations. Most of the movie happens outdoors and was probably shot outdoors as well, which shows.
there's no better childrens movie than harry potter 1-2. the only other movies that scrape by are movies that share the same producers, writers, or crew like goonies and young sherlock holmes. literally unmatched films
the issue with PoA is the bait and switch presentation of Sirius/the dog >scene where Harry sits at the playground >dog comes out of the hedge >dog shows teeth and starts aggressively barking >scene where the group is leaving the shrieking shack >Sirius: normally, I have a very sweet disposition as a dog
buckbeak is also presented as bipolar, constantly going from calm to aggressive when Harry is to touch him

Goblet of Fire shits on the first film, pleblet. It just sucks as an adaptation of the book. IT's still way better than any potter film after it.

This. I remember walking out of the kinorium and feeling disappointed
the issue with the film is that the source material was a total mess
First movie was fricking next level with the CGI/FX
>this goober read the books

Imagine being a snob over harry potter
It actually surpasses the book because JK Rowling is a shit writer who got lucky
1-4 are all certified kino
Philosopher's stone and Chamber of secrets are the only good ones. After that, they lost the comfy aesthetic and replaced it with ugliness.

HP 1 and 2 are unmatched films is what i meant to say.

He's a hawk-horse, how smart do you expect him to be?
Goblet of Fire is the biggest pleb filter in Cinemaphile history
HOW CAN YOU BE NEARLY HEADLESS
goblet of fire is camp
>he doesn't know about the philosophers stone
never gonna make it
The darker the lighting became, the less I cared about this franchise.
1 2 are great
3 is the best
If you disagree you're a teenager or a potterhead looser
>looser
esl moment
newfef
3 is cringe time travel slop
>Sorcerer's Stone is the better title
If you're a braindead american moron that is
It rolls better off the tongue. Philosopher's Stone is just awkward.
The third movie is the only legit good film and it's all due to the movie original scenes and direction
