i don't even hate Bay but his Transformers movies are whack
first one included, the first half is passable, but around that military lab or some shit it just becomes exhaustingly boring
Yep, OP is trolling, these bland blockbusters are the definition of soulless trash.
>these bland blockbusters are the definition of soulless trash.
The crazy thing is how Hollywood can't produce more bland blockbusters like this anymore. Something like Top Gun Maverick is a success because it's a bland 1990s-2000s blockbuster like Transformers.
This. One thing hollywood always fricks up whether its godzilla, transformers or w/e, is people go to see the characters the movie is about but instead Hollywood inserts a fricking love story and makes it about those two characters

A few days ago I was thinking about it. I remember when I was a kid and American movies were the thing, shit like Transformers, Twilight and Hunger Games were everywhere. Now it's over. I can't see something like Twilight appearing in America anymore, I can't imagine Hollywood producing something as good as Transformers again.
What happened, Americanons? What went wrong with your culture?
>nooooooo not hecking heteronormative toxic masculinity!!! little boys shouldn't be fantasizing about being heroes, they should be raised to humbly support single moms and apologize to blacks in the street!!!
Kek your brain is so fricked. Nowhere did I imply anything political. Nice strawman though.

sure, you just totally apolitically think "heroic role model for boys" is a pejorative

It’s low effort fan service. Same as putting megan fox in those films. It detracts from the actual point of interest - seeing giant robots smash each other.
I remember watching it in cinema and we had fun. I even bought the dvd, the transformations were also revolutionary special effects for that time (in fact the movie aged fine).
You're probably a zoomer homosexual.
i only watched all the bay transformers for the first time recently (i was a pseud when they were in theaters and refused to watch popular things) and they are kino, particularly the shia trilogy. people calling it "bland" are insane, nobody on earth could imitate bay.
I'LL FACE MYSELF
Nah, this was pretty soulless. And the true beginning of modern blockbuster CG bloat and manchild gags.
>t. Soilennials
Genz chads rise up
Transformers was the 2008-2011 equivalent to capeshit slop
No it sucked mega ass.

Top Gun Maverick is much better than Bay Transformers
Bay Transformers are a shitty example among the sea of mediocrity
Maverick is a success because of how real and gripping the flight scenes are, whereas nearly everything in Transformers is fake and intangible

They tried it your way and it sucked you fat nerd.
When?
in 2007, we had transformers. Now, it's just trans.
It's over baybros
I was in middle school at the time. I had a Transformers 2007 notebook.
OPTIMUS NO!!!!!

>before time began...there was.....the rubik's cube...
> I am Optimus Prime, and I send this message to any surviving Autobots taking refuge among the stars. We are here, we are waiting.
>WHAAAAAT I'VE DOOOOONE

I got up and walked out of the theatre at this scene.
America peaked here.

it's all about netflix/amazon/hbo shows for normies now, those are the entertainment pieces people talk about in public
the word soul has lost all meaning
The only good thing to come out of Bayformers was the money Hasbro through into the toys after its success. ROTF was a good time to be a toygay
ffs
>threw
You made a Transformers thread? That means we're practically family.
We used to be a proper country.
Frick you the movie is great.
>Shia
>Great side characters
>Great cgi and action
>Great music
>Tight script for a blockbuster
Awful taste.
>Shia as a plus
lmao
Please tell me what was bad about Shia in transformers. I'll wait homosexual :^)
He's an annoying whiny homosexual.
that's the character he was written and directed to play. if you have an issue it's not with his acting.
He’s literally a self insert character for little boys. That is your mental state right now.

First one wasnt bad. You can disregard all the rest.
No it was terrible and the rest was even worse.
most of the world would disagree about the first one but you're free to have your own opinion.

Shite
Michael bay understood transformers and made the franchise more relevant than it had ever been he was a true visionary
Witwicky's Parents saved the movie for me
The CGI still holds up today, looks better than most modern movies honestly
Beautifully choreographed cinema.

They are kino and they have so much humor because that’s how g1 and beast wars were, transformers shows have always been goofy
