to make the profits look less shitty or what
Soul and Coco are the only good nu-Pixar movies
coco is terrible
isn’t it the last good family film Disney made?
If you want Brave but with hispanics then yeah
Seems like I’m one of few people who liked Brave, I do wish they’d made Merida less doughy in the face (though they did get that inbred-looking UK look pretty well). I gotta say Coco is more fun and interesting, especially for kids. It is a fairly story too, the dementia aspect hits hard if you’ve seen a family member go through that. Seems like they did a good job with the cultures of both movies. I’m fine with a movie about Mexicans as long as they stay in Mexico.
Coco isn't "good" but it's incredibly fun and visually compelling.
>he hates the familia values
average american
i love coco.
mama coco makes me laugh.
frick de la cruz for doing that horrible shit.
Yeah, Soul is jazzkino. It's not really liked on this board for some reason though. I never really got why would that be.
It has Black folk in it
Last time I said I thought Soul was good some anon went on a rant about how the afterlife had no mention of the Christian God. I don't know how you can enjoy anything if it always has to cater to your personal beliefs the whole way through.
>I don't know how you can enjoy anything if it always has to cater to your personal beliefs the whole way through
Isn't that what wokeness is all about? Tons of idiot normie morons think like this and get triggered if they don't get their way
Agreed but then again every fricking race is entitled as frick these days. I guess white men are the least entitled and just take it up the ass and have to accept a bunch of gay/black bullshit
It's okay but the bodyswap plot was whatever. Also didn't like the ending
I like it because it goes against the stupid blank slate theory
>soul: what if Black folk were people
>coco: what if hispanics were people
Turning Red is actually decent
The main girl character is so cringy and obnoxious.goes beyond dorky and autistic
>Turning Red
>decent
?si=Ag7idl_Evk39_S9G
lmao
No wonder Disney got accused of grooming children.
You forgot
>you look like strippers!
>so?
Baffling coming from Disney. People (used to) watch their movies expecting family friendly, PG might mean a few subtle jokes only adults would get. It’s like a hallmark movie having an explicit rape scene. Not the place.
It's CalArts 3D beanmouth girl in a story about Asian generational trauma, the least relatable trope Hollywood ever dreamed of.
Also
Any media, any media at all with that artstyle is automatically low-effort mass-produced garbage.
>$175 million budget
What the frick did they actually spend that on??
And yes I saw it, it’s forgettable and mid. “Coming of age” is having a fight with her mom about growing up and the “struggle” is figuring out how to go see a pop concert. Maybe it’s more relatable if you were a tween in early 2000’s Canada.
Soul was actually very good.
Luca was very simple but endearing in that, very nice Italian coast setting.
Turning Red was cute and funny
>endearing
I agree, but the uncensored anal sex scenes were a bit out of place.
>Luca was very simple but endearing
AKA it's bad and you have a hard time describing anything negatively
>simple plot is bad!
>Luca was very simple but endearing in that, very nice Italian coast setting.
"Hes my best friend, and he smells amazing."
It was subtle gay propaganda.
I saw Luca when it came out. It was clearly a metaphor for homosexuality. But nobody believes me. I mean Luca gets mad when the other boy starts talking to a girl even.
you need meds
>watch children’s media
>can only think about homosexuality
Okay pedo
>a bay area studio staffed entirely by millenial calarts grads would NEVER make a gay movie!
This is what home schooling does to mf
Tons of people think Luca is gay, it's not a unique thought
Tons of gay people, maybe
yeah, just like Bart Simpson became gay when Milhouse was smooching that b***h Samantha. He was all like AYO NO THIS MILHUSSY MINE. He wasn't jealous that he was spending less time with him, so sir. He a proppa gaygit, yes sir.
Correct. Luca was supposed to be explicitly gay but underage homosex is too much even for Yidsney. They killed that and so the director ‘soft coded’ it instead, which was celebrated by the usual gang of perverts, pederasts and pimps in modern ‘cinema journalism’.
Forgot pic.
Quality-posting
ppppffffffffphhh
hahahahahhaaha
wtf is luca?
Haven't you been to the 2nd floor?
We're getting old, lads.
hehehehehe
They were in theaters in my country. Not that I saw them lol
They're A/B testing which shade of brown they should pander to for the next decade.
>n*ggers, g**ks and sh*tallians
Motherfrickers are opening Disney Vault again.
whoowheee can't wait to see them all again on the big screen!
>again
they never were on the big screen moron, at least not in North America
lol D*sney think they have the fan base to pull a Miyazaki
Ghibli marathons are good because each movie is painstakingly crafted to become a cherished childhood memory to be shared with generations to come.
Disney is just Black person and homosexual pandering that everyone ends up hating.
Oh and this new film category of Asian “generational trauma” is the shittiest and least relatable trope hollyisraelite has ever come up with
Good. I never saw soul cus it wasn't in theaters. I hate all you zoomer shits that only torrent twitch shit or whatever you do.
workin' on that tan
That is a very cool swimsuit version of the classic Disney Snow White dress, AI.
beep boop beep
I saw Soul in theaters, never saw Luca or Turning Red because they weren't released in theaters.
all I remember about Soul, was the guy saying he could die happy if he did something, then he did it, died, and still wasn't happy.
The point was he had been chasing a dream his whole life, but once it was within his reach he realized it maybe wasn't as great as he thought it would be, and he should have appreciated the things he already had.
What I remember about soul is that when the guy dies he sees that the "afterlife" is a conveyor belt that moves souls towards a giant ball of flame that obliterates them instantly.
What're they gonna do, remove them from Disney+ while they're in theaters?
They should bring out the big guns and put furry Robin Hood back in theaters
Soul is good but the other two fricking blow
what was your problem with turning red?
>what was your problem with turning red?
its fury bait. and the calarts style of drawing is gross. they all look like steven israeliteverse charidads
oh I see, you're just a hateful sperg
>t. atypical soijak
Luca is the only good one
Soul is a black movie
Turning red is a degen Asian movie
t. gay
They would make more money by rereleasing one of the good ones.
>doesn't look good
>plot isn't anything special
>character designs are atrocious
How is this a good movie?
I liked Luca. It stayed true to its Italian roots and told a family-centric story with a positive message. Haters and pedos will say it was about homosexuality, but I don’t think it was. I would see Luca in theaters.
I wouldn’t touch Soul with a ten foot pole though. I liked the black guy, but the soul girl ruined the entire movie for me. She was given everything needed to succeed, squandered her opportunities, and never learned from her mistakes. Her character was a clear metaphor for mental health, but all it did was highlight how society babies people because of muh depression and anxiety instead of helping them grow and overcome.
I never saw Turning Red and never will. The art of offputting and the story more so.
That main girl in turning red was obnoxious as frick and annoying..why don't people mention this more? What a cringy movie but yet people like it. Cuz it's about Asians? Who cares
turning red is packed with soul
Bravo Iger, quality not quantity
question: why are only new movies in the theaters? it would be awesome if there were like audience voted or some circulating old classics in and out the theaters. i guess those exists but they are rare as hell.
This bait? Even nonindie theaters play old movies all the time, not just anniversary but also cult classics
Are they getting desperate because of all their flops?
Looks like it
Btw that Indian chick from turning red is sexy
It's an easy way for Iger to gain a little goodwill from the animators at Pixar who were pissed about their movies not getting theatrical releases. Highly doubt they will make much money off this, but getting in their good graces is important before he starts to destroy their future project budgets
Disney in: The Quest for More Money
Are you really allowed to do that?
lol why wouldn't you be? This isn't a new thing
Luca would have been way better if it was genderbent
They already released these movies
Why rerelease the woke movies no one cared about them when they were first came out?
Do they actually expect to make any money from them in theaters?
Why even go to a theater to see these movies when you can watch them on streaming/home-media?
Why would Iger think anyone see these woke trash in theaters again when no one cared about them on release?
Does he legit think Turning Red will make a billion if in theaters again?
Disney is really intent on burning money, I guess.
I watched Soul the other day, I liked it. Frick you, Cinemaphile
lmao they'll still bomb.
Why does Disney love losing money these days?
3 more massive flops for Disney
>pushing back all their new films
>have to rerelease old movies
Why would I want to pay $40 or more to see these in a theater when it's already on Disney+ and I've watched them already?
