Yeah not all of them are gonna be something you like cause the styles are really different and mostly hit or miss. With Japanese art you can expect anime art styles and whatever, but with western artists it's more of a mixed bag, which scares off a lot of people who don't like stepping out of their comfort zone.

The only ones I can think of that'd really be worth bringing back are Chef or Pip. I'd say Satan but he only just died recently.
Chef, unfortunately can never be brought back in a way that feels right, Chef without Hayes just won't feel like Chef.
So that leaves Pip, who I quite enjoyed. I feel now that Butters has changed so much, Pip would actually have his own place, probably a Scott Malkinson tier character in terms of relevance though.
There could be some minor characters who might or might not be dead in canon that'd I'd enjoy if they brought them back but I'd be alright if they didn't. Like Lizzy, the foul mouthed parka wearing girl from the hate crime episode. Or the Cotswolds, or even Gary.

That demographic you talk about must be a profitable group then otherwise they'd stop making the shirts. Shirts are a really easy way to show off that you are a fan of something, because you can't really carry around a figurine or a plush those just stay in your home. But a shirt you can wear out and about and some fans like doing that, especially the more social ones who actually like meeting other fans in person. This applies to all clothing merchandise but shirts are the most common.

Actually yes, I do miss this. Randy used to be an actually enjoyable character when used sparingly, back when he actually did represent Trey instead of some vague evil white man caricature of who Trey feels like he is. I can't put my finger on it, because he's still self inserting, but it's not really him and I can tell the difference because it's just not funny.

Let us talk about Chef. Chef is an interesting character by being both a straightman and a funny stereotype like the others by trying to sleep with every woman he catches, more effectively than Cartman's mom. He's also a mentor, slightly above Patrick Star, but still no genius solver. I wish him and Garrison interacted more with Cartman when Cartman was a genius psycho in order to contrast Garrison and Chef's ideas of solving the problem with Cartman's schemes. What other characters don't interact a lot with each other? I don't think Stan and Kyle ever interacted with Jimmy neither Cartman with Nathan.
youre right, we need to see more episodes where characters who dont interact often are put together, or against eachother, or interact in some way
Stan only ever extensively interacted with Jimmy in his very first episode, where he and the guys liked him better than Timmy, which was the main conflict of the story. And to my knowladge, Nathan never interacted with any of the main 4.
