It’s nothing less than a delightful break from the conventions of modern indie animation and I would thoroughly recommend it 🙂

I feel sex will play a big part in the overall story as evidenced by the mural of Space King surrounded by hot alien babes, Space King is covering his eyes and shooting at them. I have a feeling Space King left to get laid and that's why they use little boys in sexual latency as slugs for the globules. Because the message "Boys give up on wonton senseless violence when they start getting pussy" is a pretty funny punchline.

I have to wonder if this actually will be able to take any male crowd. The real reason something like Helluva can't get the male audience is that Vivzie genuinely sucks at playing by "Rule of Cool". The Hazbin pilot Angel and Cherri vs Pentious scene, was good rule of cool. You had quadruple wielding tommy guns, a crazy snake inventor man with an army of expendable minions to act as fodder and a psycho chick throwing grenades everywhere and the fight took advantage of the cool shit it had.

The fight was fun from good choreography but there's nothing in terms of cool crazy shit being done. Vivzie feels borderline afraid of crazy weapons and powers to put on display or even basic cool shit that teenage boys would like in their fight scenes
This is probably why something like Murder Drones has attracted a somewhat considerable amount of 40k fans here, with the similarly grim settings, "rule of cool", wacky insane powers and abilities, and a generally large sense of scale with malevolent forces breaking the fabric of reality.

The Robo Fizz fight was a master gunman vs a raging humanoid robot fricking up an area filled with a populated area. All they had to do was copy Terminator, the movies that basically invented the rule of cool that they fricking reference within the episode, yet the fight feels like a poor man's version of a Terminator action sequence with none of the visual flair

Terminator 1 and 2, movies Vivzie has clearly seen, are a fricking masterclass in the "rule of cool" stuff that gets teenage boys to watch and they don't have half the crazy shit that the shounen anime which have a borderline monopoly on that crowd do. Cherri Bomb and Alastor both are characters who would be able to do rule of cool shit and both do in the pilot and finale respectively, but other than Cherri in the pilot, you don't get much time to enjoy it.
