See that's what I mean, frick the general work of this, it's just a eva but given a marvel makeover and nothing else.
Although technically speaking, the spider controls the mech's movements while Peni controls the mech's weapons (including webslingers.) The bond helps them synchronize and merge in combat and fight as a single pilot.

side note, i like paco medina's art style. i appreciate a clean, readable look even if i'm kind of used to bailey's earlier appearance. pros and cons i suppose, i just like scruffy bedhead hair. his take on bailey's suit is also pretty good, easy to reference from and sleek. the eyes looking a bit like goggles, or having a slightly thicker frame is neat. christina's simplified outfit is also appreciable

Plus the fact he got wiped out from existence thanks to a universe hopping energy vampire who used a magic dagger. Most people will find it hard to grasp. Christina probably would not question it that much since Bailey is a kid.
We'll most likely get a glimpse at that with Peter's visit. Either Bailey told Christina a lie about who Peter is to him or she knows he is Spider-Man.

Not sure in what situation where he could unless it is against non-human foes or needing to cut something. Miguel used his to help him climb but I don't think Bailey will need to use them for that.

Man-Spider?
I've been a proponent for Bailey to be more spider than boy, given the conditions that made him what he is. I would love for him to be something other than just 'human with spider powers', but something Other and how Peter would have to deal with the creature wearing the Bailey skin that hunts ambush predator-style. I won't get my way, because Marvel, but it's fun to think of Peter and Bailey's relationship as we're seeing it unfold now morph into something wholly different as time goes on and thinks start getting weirder as bodies pile up in the shadows.
I know this is just pose references for his arms, but I would genuinely really enjoy if Bailey could grow extra arms at some point.

I can understand why it would be preferred separate, Slott stated his plan was to make Spider-Boy serve as kind of an entry point for new comic readers. From what I understand some of the crossovers with other heroes might be more like bonus stories to the main one.

I think he has more appeal than Sentry. A kid who is tragically forgotten, and nobody can remember is more interesting. Sentry had people remember him when he showed up.

Personally, I am excited to see Bailey work for his spot. He has to start from scratch.
I don't like most modern Marvel additions, I don't like Miles or Kamala, I didn't like most of Slott's run, I didn't like anything Spider-Verse or Superior even, but I like Bailey so far. It's so stupid and silly, Slott is leaning into it all, this feels more Silver-agey than Waid's World Finest and Shazam so far.

12 issues. The 40+ variants, new number #1, 'next big character' status being pushed will give Bailey a spot in the top 10 for that month. Afterwards just slips off into cancelation territory by #4. Rebranded as a mini and relaunched with some new gimmick/status quo.
If it proves better than ASM probably for a while. I take any alternative over ASM.
Depends on how long Slott wants to make it. Slott gets put on containment books so he doesn't frick up too much. If they cancel Spider-Boy Marvel will need to give him something else.
