Ultimate MJ was a journalist too iirc, and this series takes a lot of cues from the Ultimate comics. They even gave Venom the code name GR-35, because that’s when he first appeared in the Ultimate comics, and Peter’s canonical wrestling suit is heavily inspired by the one from the Ultimate comics.
Not-MJ was a mistake there too. One of these days fans are going to realize that media using bad ideas from Ultimate Spider-Man does not mean they are suddenly good ideas.

Kraven is kind of an odd pick to center so much of the narrative around for him to not be the final boss. Plus, look at the reveal trailer:
That's all Kraven dialogue and Peter and Miles fighting Kraven goons then suddenly at the end it's Venom that answers Kraven's wish? They're trying to connect the two in your mind.
They’ve clearly emphasized that Kraven’s deal is him being a guy with no super powers, so it’s not going to be him either. The teaser trailer even further supports this by having Kraven ask who’s worthy of being hunted by him, and Venom answering. All we really know about Venom right now is that he’s not going to be Eddie, and that Insomniac wants to make him something that hasn’t been done in the movies or comics yet, so that throws out a lot of potential suspects.
Kraven has powers.

They could have used a lot of characters, but they went with Ultimate because at the time the book was really popular and people wanted him included. If the game had been made after Miles was created they would've included him because his introduction in the comics was big news for a while so they'd have been dumb not to ride the easy marketing.

MJ sections need to be cut from the game entirely. They kill the pacing, and nobody likes them. They kind of fixed this in MM, but that one flashback scene in the museum near the end is a huge drag.

These are the same people who made unique low health variants for all of Miles’ suits, so making unique symbiote versions of suits isn’t too far fetched to me. I think it’d be cool if they made the 2099 Black Suit’s symbiote version be Flipside, or added Ben’s Sensational Spider-Man suit, and made the symbiote version Spider-Carnage.

Sorry. After looking it up, it seems I misremembered or misinterpreted what they said. They said that they wanted to tell an original story with Venom that "hasn't been seen in comics or movies", which doesn't necessarily mean it's a completely new host.
If they do wind up bring back all the alternate suits from the first game, and every suit has their own symbiote alt, they’ll definitely bring in the Raimi Black Suit.

If you use the daft punk helmet it's treated like an actual helmet rather than a mask, if you have the bodgea cat costume you can hear it yowl when Miles lands on his back, etc.

I think it makes it more tragic in the game. Peter was genuinely going to be able to help people just as much as he could as Peter just as much as Spider-Man working with Otto. Hell he could have helped him if they kept working on it for another month, two, tops. Yet Otto used his gifts for selfish reasons in his rage.

Otto was planning everything from the moment after he lost the grant. He started making the plans to break out the villains and give them way before he used the neural implant. Miles is pretty different from Peter so far. He’s noticeably much weaker than Peter, and has to rely on his electric powers and invisibility to stand a chance.
He also gets his ass beat by the main villain every single time, and never wins against her even once.

Arkham Knight's worse than Arkham City. It overemphasizes the Batmobile and the story is trash. It even manages to have a worse use of Deathstroke than Arkham Origins if all things.

They added Brooklyn and queens which doesn't make a ton of sense in how they'll create organic physical barriers to stop you from going deeper into long Island
And it's good there will be new environments but they really should've focused on putting in the parts of Manhattan they cut out
Upper Manhattan being just erased from the map, and also it only has every other street. They count up by 2s
They could put all the odd streets in and double the map size without even needing to expand out
Maybe in 3rd game we can have a full scale new york.
They still have Staten and the Bronx they can drip feed for the 3rd one
I doubt they'll do more than that
Maybe they could just scale up the city and make it feel bigger.
Hell, the New York from Spider-Man 3 feels more massive than Insomaniac’s.
God, I hope we get playable Venom for 3, but I suppose we'll have to see how the story plays out.
Given that the latest trailer references Kamala we might be getting a full new york and even part of New Jersey.

You'd think Cinemaphile would be more familiar with it due to the Ninja Turtles but yeah New York's undercity is kinda fascinating.

I don't want them to expand the map, I want them to shrink it, really focus in on the important stuff. Maybe have a villain release some kind of gas that makes the streets too dangerous to go on, so you have to stick to the tops of buildings and interiors.
