>In 2006, Kaare Andrews’ groundbreaking SPIDER-MAN: REIGN series introduced Marvel fans to a cold, harsh world where Peter Parker lost everything. This searing portrait of Marvel’s most iconic hero has lingered in reader’s hearts ever since, and now comes the highly-anticipated sequel! This July, Andrews returns to this landmark, genre-defying saga in SPIDER-MAN: REIGN II.
>The five-issue limited series will reveal more experiences this older, grizzled Peter Parker has had to endure from epic tragedies to inspiring triumphs. But hope always remains! In addition to the bleak, fans will meet an all-new Black Cat, and catch up with another Spidey—Peter isn’t the only one who aged… wait until you see what happened to Miles Morales!
“I never imagined that I would ever be creating a sequel to a comic series from so long ago, my first major work in comics,” Andrews shared. “Nor did I anticipate that a four-issue miniseries would continue to vibrate in the public consciousness today. But without fail, SPIDER-MAN: REIGN is mentioned in articles, lists, and social media posts."
"Many call it the most infamous Spider-Man story ever told. But for me, what’s kept it relevant is the love behind creating that book," he continued. "This is the character I grew up with, the one that taught me how to be a man, how to live with failure and keep standing back up, the unrelenting force of trying to make things better."
"REIGN was full of tragic and dark absurdity that only a young creator could come up with. A way to challenge the idea of personal power and responsibility. But as I’ve grown older, and after sitting with this story for so long, I started to ask myself this question, 'What if there was a way to go back and change what happened? What if I could fix everything?'" he added.

You want Spider-Man comics without Miles? There's hundreds of them made before he existed. Go read those. I don't see why you insist on reading the new comics, you just look for things to complain about. You're not happy unless you have something to complain about, are you?
MAHAHAHAHA MILES MORALES HEAHEAHAHAHAH!!!
Oh boy it was bad and I never thought it could get worse.
Frick me.
I was joking about Miles being made super buff in the solicit thread. Why is it actually real?
Hey, at least Miles will finally experience Parker luck.
Miles Morales has become an actual parasite Jesus Christ
You can’t escape from him
I am glad I stopped reading Marvel in 2016 thanks to civil war 2.
Did I miss any good?
No
Immortal Hulk was good
Captain America Sentinel of Liberty was pretty good.
JMD's minis have been good
That depends do you think the x-men betraying everything they ever stood for is good? If so then you did
>waaaaaah mommy make da scawy chocowate man go away
It's funny watching you cry every time Miles shows up. Like fricking clockwork, I swear to God.
Miles has a grand total of 1 good story that isn't ripping off Peter in some way.
That one story is also torture porn.
Look, you've got two options here: learn to tolerate Miles (not like or accept, begrudging toleration is the best that can be expected from you) or wash your hands of Spider-Man altogether and find another comic that's more to your liking. You can only sit there complaining for so long until you make a decision.
You must be new to the world of comic book fans.
Go back
the frick now?
>radioactive black man jizz
No thanks
>that cover art
superb and odd choice
why does marvel always go for the most depressing shit when it comes to pete? i know usm is gonna take a dark turn somewhere, and its pissing me off
>Finally a future we're Miles isn't deaf or an butthole.
Sounds kino.
Of all sad words of tongue or pen,
the saddest are these,
'/misc/ was right again.'
>Peter getting manhandled by Miguel.
>Ghostflower
>Meows
Looking good.
>Peter and Miggy being bros
>Miles Manlet trying to hold back his tears as Gwen gets PIGGED
very redpilled cover
jessica's goggles(?? sunglasses??) are bothering me
they look...off
No one seems to have noticed that the backgrounds in the first visuals are made in Generative AI.
Peter was Spider-Man before Miles was and was much better. Miguel was Miles first, and was better. All that Miles has going for him is that he's black. He's a one note character.
I don't think that there's anything that they can do to top Reign 1, but I'll reserve judgement until I actually read it. Everything I've ever read of Miles was not entertaining.
