Love how based Ditko and Romita era Pete was. And I miss this MJ too. Her drama was rooted in commitment issues from an abusive family, and she was flighty but it was balanced by her many good moments of being Peter’s closest friend, and Peter not being a cuck - he dated around with other girls like black cat, he sometimes got mad at MJ, ect.

One thing I liked and Spencer's run is that they let Peter be funny. I think the current run is probably a little too serious for Spider-Man. At least the last issue was decent.

Hello, everyone. Marvel is trying to destabilize Spidey's core audience before Sony makes a move to buy the character entirely. There've been talks about what to do if this happens, but the only directive from Marvel was to keep doing Spidey stuff, except do what makes Spider-Man appealing and unappealing. But casuals can't tell the difference and barely read the comics anyway; they just consoom the movies, shows, and games. So, now Disney stock is super low, and Sony wants to buy Spidey as an investment for their new movie plans, and Disney might give in because of their furious investors right now.
