What you want to express is that you want artists to be whipped into shape to give you what you want, and after this happens pretend like the whipping never happened and they decided to cater to you naturally.

But, artists who get whipped like this all tend to converge into drawing porn rather than making meaningful artwork from their own soul. Toxicity builds nothing meaningful

If you don't like the movie, that's fine. It has it's issues and nobody worth listening to has denied that. But you don't need to be making things up or lying by omission either.

The irony with that whole situation is that it was more of a collective tumblr effort rather than even just one series, the artist pissed off pretty much just the whole website and even on the pages that try to detail the incident they always reference the fact she drew I think islamic "yellow horse" or some shit, so it's barely even SUgays' thing to begin with.

      Anonymous

It was more a case of bullying; iirc some girls disliked another girl for some reasons and started going through everything she did online to find something "problematic" about her and started an online hate campaign to run her life. It worked, their claims of her being a terrible person worked, and she started getting legit hateblogs.

She got most shit from Homestuck fandom iirc, but also MLP. However as SU was the hot new thing at the time and the was supposedly so so wholesome and positive, furor over SU fanart not being accectable because a character wasnt as fat as in canon was more interesting than Homestuck or MLP fans being hysterical fanatics

Act 5 is the fifth "act", or basically section, of the comic
It was pretty good, honestly, but it introduces a new group of characters/game players who are gray aliens from another universe (which have their own weird culture, that I will now explain to you in immense detail!), and their introduction also brings a large amount of "teen romance" stuff that continues to grow the further into the comic you go, which anyone who's over the age of 30/not a tumblr user would find a bit tiresome
the "gigapause" is where the comic took a year-long hiatus that killed off a lot of interest in it; see, the author put the comic out at a very steady, quick, and large pace, meaning that practically every day, there was a good amount of pages to read through and art to see, but after a major plot point happened, the author took a hiatus of undetermined length at the time to basically work out how he was going to finish the damn thing, close plot points, commission artists, find a team to work on his game based on the property, etc.
The problem is, he basically went full radio silence on his fans, which led to a large number of fair-weather fans to leave, and considering that people were already because of Act 6 (the real stinker act) it wasn't great
it wasn't great here, either, because the homestuck general on Cinemaphile was an absolute fricking degenerate hive of filth and depravity that hit the post limit within 10 minutes, second only to tiny horse general, and the gigapause gave the mods the in they needed to be rid of it once and for all

And effectively they desire the death of their creativity, which is something that a true creative can live for.

No, ever since this movie they've become the new sonic fandom . They even make OC's and like the idea of peter hanging around people he hardly knows just because they share with the same power rather than his actual supporting cast

Platforms are nothing without users but the fans of these shows do not comprise all users, they're being filtered in from the wider userbase of these places and bringing in all the platform's culture with them.
