I still don't get how the armored spider was the most successful in his own universe but was one of the least competent in the group.

Noir stages were walmart arkham asylum but it felt so fricking cool to do the same thing with spider powers
The way shadows worked in those levels looked cool though
2099 > Noir = Amazing > Ultimate
2099 had the best banter mixed with the neatest setpieces. The only real bad part of it was the Doc Ock level because of the weird way they structured it so you end up in large rooms for big battles.
Noir's levels were pretty much bootleg Arkham stealth segments but they were great, and the 100% requirements were fun to do.
Amazing had fun banter, good bosses, and pretty fun levels but he just felt sorta average? I don't know how to explain it, his levels were fun but also felt like you were playing something fairly uneventful at the same time.
Ultimate's levels were just awful and Deadpool's level was exhausting, you constantly had to hear his jokes, and if you were going for 100% it was even worse because now you had to run to basically every part of the map and fight I think it was 250 mooks? 150? I just remember it being a stupid amount. The Carnage level in particular was cancer and Electro's wasn't exactly fun.

Carnage mooks respawn either infinitely or in massive amounts, it feels like a musou stage but with tanky enemies, I recall them having ranged attacks on top of that, level design is just a crashed ship on fire that feels very samey, tons of tanky elite mooks (Can't remember if it was Venom-sized Carnage things or mechs), and the 100% requirements are somewhat annoying.
Imagine brown, blue, fire, and bloom, that's basically the whole level.
This but in reverse. 2099 levels were the worse to be honest, the voice didn't fit him and the backgrounds are annoying to look at

He sounds like an old man, like a corny dad, which doesn’t match his comic personality at all. He was better in EOT though

I remember Activision would actually hire comic nerds to help with stories and lore, making sure it stayed accurate or if their new characters had been done before or not. Which actually surprised the person they hired during TASM's development. Dude found out too late Marvel already had a iguana character, so they couldn't remove him.
Or how the gameplay didn't add up with the Juggernaut's powers for the boss fight in Shattered Dimensions, so they changed the dialogue to explain why he had become weaker, so everything still fit into lore.

It's not too bad if you want a copy. I grabbed a PS3 one a couple years back and it was $30ish Like New. PC does have technical issues but it's not the end of the world and the only way to even get it to begin with is to pirate it.
