SPIDEY VILLAINS

Post and talk about every sinister bad guy to ever face the Web-Head. Who is underappreciated in your eyes? Feel like we could see more of Speed Demon for example. Also personally, I think Hydro-Man is superior to Sandman in almost every way, and should be the iconic Sinister Six member to take his place.

Also talk about Miles's rogues too I guess.

The foes are back in town
    >Speed Demon
He's weird in how OP he is. He feels like a dc villain with early mcu levels of comedy

    >Hydro-Man is superior to Sandman
I always get confused with these characters like if they fell into the ocean or desert would they disintegrate or be god levels of powerful

    >Miles's rogues
Literally who, that isn't already a Spider-Man villain?

Speed Demon, formerly Whizzer and not to be confused with his heroic doppelganger Blur, is essentially evil dickhead Flash who's a thief. Works for me.
      >I always get confused with these characters like if they fell into the ocean or desert would they disintegrate or be god levels of powerful
If the material is there, yes, both of them can incorporate the mass into their entire being. However I think it requires focus, and could easily find themselves lost in the extra sand/water if they're not careful.
      >Literally who
There's Starling (now ally/love interest), Frost Pharaoh, Rabble, Snatcher, and I think Hightail

Superior Foes is easily one of my favorite Spider-Man things of the last decade, and I am not afraid to admit that part of the reason that I go easy on Spencer's ASM is because I like SFoSM so much

Honestly I was thinking about She-Hulk and it's sucks.

Everything about She-Hulk tries to do, Superior Foes of Spider-Man does it. Adult comedy
Pokes fun of the marvel universe
Even fricking Beetle is a better lawyer

And again like Sony rogue movies hardly uses Spider-Man.

I'm honestly surprised Sony's ridiculous Spider-Man villain movies have never tried something light and comedic. Clearly not even general audiences care about anything they're doing on that front other than Venom, you'd think they'd at least try a different approach by now instead of going ahead with shit like Kraven and El Muerto.

At the end of the day their entire "Villainverse" is solely meant to retain film rights away from Disney. So long as something is in production, they can keep them

                Anonymous

Wrong. In order to keep the film rights, Sony has to make SPIDER-MAN movies. Sony has the right to make standalone movies with Spider-Man villains and supporting characters, but only a Spider-Man movie starring Spider-Man will let them keep the rights.

That's not how it works but whatever.

                Basically,

Wrong. In order to keep the film rights, Sony has to make SPIDER-MAN movies. Sony has the right to make standalone movies with Spider-Man villains and supporting characters, but only a Spider-Man movie starring Spider-Man will let them keep the rights.

is right about how Sony keep the Spider-Man rights, and co-producing MCU Spider-Man movies with Disney still counts towards this. Sony don't NEED to be making those other movies, but they have the rights to all those characters, and even if they were making their own Spider-Man movies without the MCU, they'd still never ever get close to using most of those characters, so they're trying to do something with all those characters they paid to get the movie rights to. Venom was a hit, and most of the others seem to be made on a fairly low budget, so they don't really need to make that much money.

I'm gonna be a hipster and say that I liked the Spot long before Across the Spider-Verse. Even though Spider-Man treats him like a joke at first, the comic makes it very clear that the Spot's powers make him a force to be reckoned with.

      >I'm gonna be a hipster and say that I liked the Spot long before Across the Spider-Verse.
Same. Hey maybe now we'll get to see more of him in books. Last time we did, Fisk had him in chains

        Anonymous

No, last time we saw him, Carnage "killed" him, but Spot said he would return thanks to the Spot dimension, which I guess means he's immortal, which I guess explains all those previous times he "died" and got better.

I don't think anyone is really paying attention to the Carnage nonsense lately. He "killed" Hydro-Man too, but everyone knows it won't stick

It's weird that he gets the D-List disrespect when even without multiverse powers he can still get you anytime, anywhere.

Honestly I'm sick to fricking death of Carnage. I thought with the end of this most recent event Marvel was done with him for a while but apparently there's like two more Carnagewank events left this year.

We haven't seen Smythe or Spider-Slayer robots in a while, have we? I actually think Spider-Slayers would have potential in a movie and especially in a videogame.

There's a reason for that, and I'll answer with two questions: What do Spider Slayers look like, and what is Smythe's gimmick/appearance? They both keep changing, and I think Smythe was once called Spider Slayer too

It's kinda sad to think that most of Shocker's friends, who are massive scumbags to him anyway, are now dead. Hydro man got carnaged, Boomerang got Morluned. Really all he's got is 8-Ball, Melter and maybe Scorpia left. Shane Rouge and She-Hulk aren't vouching for him anymore either.
