I would never claim that VOY is the best show, but I do think it gets treated a little unfairly at times, it definitely had its moments, and several memorable characters. If you really pay attention, so much of the Galactica remake was just RDM retreading stories from DS9 and VOY that he probably had handcuffs on when he tried to tell the first time. The whole show was "Year of Hell", the opera house was just wormhole aliens again, the skinjobs were just changelings, etc. There wasn't as much of a TNG redo, which makes me wonder if he had a free hand there.
TOS = TAS > DS9 > TNG > SNW > VOY = PIC3 > ENT = LD > STD > PIC1&2
These are indisputable facts and anybody who says otherwise is lying to you and probably smells like fat.
TOS was written by the greatest science fiction authors of the era, anon. TNG was written by the color beige.

Also ur fat
Must have struck a nerve with some ancient balding dementia patients here. DS9 mogs everything else. TNG is alright but also a bit campy, TOS is gay even for it's time like this post said
I'm not going to do the math, but I think TNG is as old to me now as TOS was when TNG first aired. TNG holds up very well today, while TOS felt old and corny even back then.
I'm guessing someone fat raped you and the fact you even have that saved is cope lol. Some Chrischan looking ass spurging out someone doesn't like my fictional story like arms aren't blue pot calling the kettle black scenario I think

DS9 > TOS > TNG >>> ENT > VOY >>>>>>>> NuTrek
It's close though. TOS, TNG and DS9 have their strengths and weaknessness and are pretty similar in quality.
Not like is a stretch. I liked it enough to watch all of it. Mostly my problems with it is that it's kinda a bargain bin TNG after TNG already had reached its peak. It feels like it only went through the motions most of the time. It's also very much a wasted opportunity, given that the whole premise of them being stranded on the other end of the galaxy was crippled by the decision to make it episodic and press the reset button at the end of every episode. The conflict between starfleet and the maquis was resolved almost immediately and nothing that happens has long term consequenses.
Speaking of fat Trek
Does anyone have the link to that YouTube edit of Riker punching Apgar (from the episode where he’s accused of murdering the scientist and they take depositions on the holodeck) and in the edit Riker’s fat stunt double just continually punches Apgar like ten times?
TNG is better than TOS because it takes the subject matter more seriously (TOS is a bit too swashbuck-ly), but none of the other shows are anywhere near those two in quality. Nu-Trek is just 100% butt cheeks through and through, completely unwatchable.
DS9 is a good show, but not a good Star Trek show.
There's too much focus on relationship drama. >OMG WILL ODO CONFESS HIS LOVE TO KIRA THIS EPISODE!?
felt like a teenage girl show at times.
Voyager failed in all aspects it attempted
I know some gays like the comfy aspect of it, buts those rely on the failures of:
- making borgs boring
- not using the marquii as crew conflict enough
- encountering alpha quadrant aliens (writers could not make new good ones)
- wasting resources on holodeck with shit explanations
- having status quo resets when it was supposed to be arc-y because of muh syndication
I need some advice, TOSbros:
I want to rewatch TOS, and I haven't watched it in forever. My plan is to only watch all episodes rated 8.0 or higher on IMDB to only get the best episodes and skip the mediocre or bad ones. Will I miss out on some overall interconnected plot by doing this or is it fine?
>7 episodes of Season One >7 episodes of Season Two >3 episodes of Season Three >one is half of a two-parter >no gorn episode
You might as well just go read memory alpha synopses
Only if you're the kind of person who sits there and goes 'whos that guy?' 'whats his jam?' 'why does he look like that?' when you're watching something.
Nah it's deeper than that. TNG sets up this vision of a liberal utopia that's maintained by values and principles while DS9 methodically puts all of these values and princples to the test. It doesn't have the same impact if you don't understand the world TNG sets up.
>methodically
If BSG has taught us anything, it is that RDM is neither methodical nor deterministic. Ira Behr also indicated in the documentary that he was winging it half the time. Otherwise your point stands. TNG is the yang and DSIX the yin for your reasons.
Sure it wasn't intended but it turned out that way. We start off with the Federation standing on principle and refusing to stop exploring past the wormhole and end with them poisoning an entire species to help end a war[/spolier]
Frick what they did to Dukat at the end though. The show would almost be perfect if not for that.

removing gay garak made dukat a shit character
you deserve it conservatives geezer fricktards
I like all three a lot. Haven't seen Voyager or Enterprise; neither of them really interest me at all. I struggled to even make it through Voyager's first episode and never went back to it. I know that isn't fair to the show but it doesn't have the best reputation.
on rewatch tbh I like DS9 and maybe even ENT better than most of TNG. It's just that the peak of TNG is really good stuff. SNW has been refreshingly good after how much i fricking hated STD when i gave it a brief try.
It doesn’t get better than TOS.
TNG
TOS
VOY
DS9 (real Trek takes place on a ship)
ENT
Whatever gay shit they put out post-JJ
TNG, DS9, VOY, TOS, ENT, SNW, STD, cartoon.
I would never claim that VOY is the best show, but I do think it gets treated a little unfairly at times, it definitely had its moments, and several memorable characters. >VOY treated unfairly
Correct. VOY runs at warp factor comfy
TOS = TAS > DS9 > TNG > SNW > VOY = PIC3 > ENT = LD > STD > PIC1&2
These are indisputable facts and anybody who says otherwise is lying to you and probably smells like fat.

Go to bed, zoomer, you're going to ruin your sleep schedule and miss vape class on Monday.
It's ok to have shit taste grandpa, just means you're an npc
TOS was written by the greatest science fiction authors of the era, anon. TNG was written by the color beige.

>vape class
TOS is the biggest gay filter

Fat people rape everyone by being seen
This sort of false flagging really makes conversations here tedious
why have they not cured balding and autism by the 2300s
Because Patrick Stewart looks terrible in a wig
they've evolved beyond anyone caring about it
yet all the women continue to wear makeup
women wear make up because they want to. if a bald man wanted to correct it, he could.
They didn't want the fans to feel bad.
I'm not going to do the math, but I think TNG is as old to me now as TOS was when TNG first aired. TNG holds up very well today, while TOS felt old and corny even back then.
tng>ds9>ent>tos>voy
TOS>TNG>DS9=Voyager>Enterprise>>>>>>>>>>>>>SNW>Discovery
I hope they strike forever.
DS9 > TOS > TNG >>> ENT > VOY >>>>>>>> NuTrek
It's close though. TOS, TNG and DS9 have their strengths and weaknessness and are pretty similar in quality.
Do you have any coherent reasons for not liking Voyager?
For me it's TNG > VOY > DS9 > ENT > TOS > nu
Flimsy rehashes of plot and bad acting
VOY doesn't have single likable character
paris, belana, the doctor and tuvok were pretty good characters
such a low bar you have

Are phasers better than disruptors?
Phasers don't really phase me, but I find that disruptors really disrupt my thoughts.
LODE > SNW > TOS >>>>>>>>>>> Geezer Trek >>>>>>>>>> that erased show
TNG is #1 but TOS is close

TOS, TNG, everything else is mid or suck
DS9 is a good show, but not a good Star Trek show.
There's too much focus on relationship drama.

Peak DS9 is better than peak TNG.
I will leave the thread now.
zero arguments = gay
This is true, but TNG had much less of an interconnected plot than DS9. So you can't really compare apples with oranges
1. TNG - Comfy
=. DS9 - Aged the best
3. VOY - Inconsistent but had some great episodes
4. TOS - As above, but understandably dated in appearance
I need some advice, TOSbros:

>skip
kys fake fan
TOS has almost no interconnected plots. You'll miss a lot of classic episodes by setting the cutoff so high though.
you will miss everything
>7 episodes of Season One
>7 episodes of Season Two
>3 episodes of Season Three
>one is half of a two-parter
>no gorn episode
You might as well just go read memory alpha synopses
there are only 3 TOS plots
- godlike creature
- reality is not real
- time travel / alternate earth
rinse and repeat
>- godlike creature
almost always specifically a non-corporeal one
Only TNG is worth a watch. The others suck ass. TNG, however, is the best TV of all time.
DS9 is really the only one I would recommend to people these days. TOS and TNG are extremely formulaic. VOY is just an expansion pack to TNG.
DS9 doesn't really work without TNG imo. It's like the yang to TNG's yin.
Only if you're the kind of person who sits there and goes 'whos that guy?' 'whats his jam?' 'why does he look like that?' when you're watching something.

DS9 having only unwanted personell is nice, but all the prophecy crap undermine it
>methodically

>Ira Behr
the guy that fricked BF, oh boy
Is this true?
how do you think his beard got its color?
Legend speaks in hushed whispers of the time he nutted into the gap between her teeth while shouting "I give all the b***hes Behr grills!"
Sure it wasn't intended but it turned out that way. We start off with the Federation standing on principle and refusing to stop exploring past the wormhole and end with them poisoning an entire species to help end a war[/spolier]

It is unwatchable 144p
You should be watching them the way our lord and saviour intended, on an NTSC 19" CRT television with an internal speaker.
audio only would be better
>NTSC 19" CRT
Look at this whippersnapper with his newfangled technology. Not all of us are Elon Musk.
Mine even has an internal VHS player integrated into the unit.
why do you care about the resolution so much? go watch Lower Decks, I hear the nice simple melted butter characters look good on any size monitor
DS9 is for people that don't like Star Trek.
new quantum leap is back next week for 9 episodes not affected by the strike, any trek-heads like the first season?
No bakula no watchula
>trek-heads
you're not one of us
TNG/DS9

DS9 > TND > VOY. Haven't seen the rest.
>TND
Your autocorrect betrays you, /misc/tard
TNL
Oh no, TNL and TNA were Tuvixed together? Whatever shall we doooo?
SET STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY FIELD TO THICC
The muscle memory is too strong.
Burnham with Vulcanoid bowl cut is inexplicably erotic and I'm not going to pretend it isn't
TNA

TNG is indisputably the best.
