They made MC a lesbian. It still has some hardcore fans here making threads every week, but the enthusiasm has largely subsided.
Mariner, who was annoying as frick, got fricking served and has calmed her ass down. Tendi has outperformed. Boilmer was given interesting shit to do. And most importantly, it held the optimistic ideas of the federation high.
It's still SUPER reliant on references to other shit. A definite weakness if you don't know other trek.
There's also a shitposting, ban evading anon who's obsessed with lesbians, but don't mind him too much.
I think it's the best of the current shows, but with Discovery and Picard, shitting up the place that's not exactly that high of a bar to clear.
Word on the street is Netflix is looking to purchase most of the Viacom catalogue (Paramount, Nickelodeon, Showtime, etc.) due to the failure of Paramount Plus trying to turn a profit.
They didn't give up on the brand, they gave up on the idea. They used the brand to sell edgy shit like Picard and DIscovery and optimized slop like Prodigy. Nostalia-bait like Lower Decks at least embraced the brand. Strange New Worlds is where they finally got it right, telling what-if stories... including Roddenberry's biggest what-if story: What if the future isn't shit?
There was a pre-existing idea for a show about a bunch of kids that had nothing to do with Star Trek but then they added Janeway and some Star Trek elements in order to get the money to actually get it made.
not Lower decks good but still watchable
Christ I still remember how that show initially received so much shit when it first dropped.
Do people even like it now?

It´s the s2 that was being worked on before the unpersoning. Part of the original 4x10 episode arcs.
So the odds are yes.
As long as they keep Gywn tight.
It was already made and netflix jumped in way too late to have any influence on the scripts or production, so... Yeah, it'll probably be pretty good.
Looks like discount Star Wars, also why is Janeway there
Strt like one, rapidly drops the charade and goes full Trek.
Because there are 2 Janeway on this show.
Threesome with two Janeways
Difficult after s1 season finale, but technically not impossible.
No, they use good writers this time for that. HoloJaneway is there for plot reasons, acual VADM Janeway appears at the end of the first arc.
>hologram janeway
kek
Is this their way of avoiding continuity errors?
>Paramount has completely given up on the Star Trek brand
Lmao
Is this cowboy-flavored catnip for boomers?
Then kill it.
I wish they did. I can’t take any more of their Paramount+ horrors.

The show feels nothing like star trek show except for janeway and the kids learning lessons.
That spiral within a triangle pin is uncomfortably similar to the real life pedo symbol for little boy lover.
Why are the subtitles so shitty?
Not sure what you mean.
If you´re a member berry, yes.

The most predictable spammer in this site´s history and the mods still are getting caught with their pants down.
I’m not picking sides in this war, that’s not what the Prime Directive is about.
Just general annoyance at this, the most obvious spambots that go unmolested https://desuarchive.org/co/search/text/600k/ ...

Wasting away their youth.
>anything Netflix
>good
Well, seeing the already produced season does count like good so some.
Style is interesting, but probably going to be mediocre.
