i can understand why people kinda liked S3, it was basically a roller coaster through TNGs greatest hits ending with the team on the bridge one last time.
If you actually watch the Piece of shit you can see how fricking bad it all is, none of the plot threads get resolved, they dont explain what happened to all of the crew, they dont explain mostly anything. just at the end it was the BORG working with the changelings but not really its a new BORG but old BORG. also bringing back several characters just to kill them unceremoniously was really funny. people remember like 1/3rd of the first 4 episodes and think it was a cute Ryker/Picard adventure forgetting when Ryker flips out on Picard and grounds him to his room for most of it. but hey space jellyfish birth or whatever. oh yeah and lets bring data back for a 4th time in a Daystrom Institute blacksite in space where they also have Kirks body from fricking generations which i guess is moderatly better than him just getting buried under some rocks. BUT LOOK OLD TEAM ON THE BRIDGE FLYING THE ENTIRE ENTERPRISE D WITHOUT A CREW!

i don't know man, there's a whole history of film made by people who thought they were making something great, but it turned out to be shit. Think of all the pilots that never made it to series, that weren't even good enough to be a tv movie or straight-to-video. I mean shit, the hercules series was originally just a couple tv movies, because someone involved thought it wasn't good enough to be a series, and then its so successful it generates spinoffs, which are still remembered.
Aside the hercules tangent, what's happening now is if they put together a crew for a pilot, they just have that crew film a season. Because all they care about is churning out as much content as possible. The only company not doing this is WB/HBO, because zaslav doesn't understand or want to do the thing where they call expenses (production budgets) assets and leverage them to make more "assets."

The best part about episodic shows is that you can skip the bad episodes and watch the good ones.
Today you get a clusterfrick of a season with 6 plots that are overlapping and only 2 of them are interesting and you need to watch this 10h shit fest to get a unsatisfying conclusion to the 1 plot that was actually good + all the other pointless shit thrown in there to expand the length.

This entire plot line feels like one gigantic mes.
They should made the space battle engaging with a quick solution and them taking over the titan its own separate thing.

If they laid off the cocaine for a few minutes to hold an idea then they could have done a lot with Vadic. Amanda Plummer can act. Her character had potential as a BBEG. But instead she was a roadblock with as much relevance as Odd-job or Jaws in a Bond flick. And for what, the Borg queen... again? Really? Especially after Annie Wersching owning the character in the last season? Stop doing cocaine, Hollywood. If this was old trek she give them 7 minutes and they try to figure out how to solve this and after 5 minutes of characters talking they realize they can use the waves to escape and they escape using this strategy.
So it looks like this.
3 minutes Fight with the ship who uses portal to frick with you.
Ultimatum talk
2 talking to find a solution.
3 the idea for the wave use
3 to retrofit the ship.
2 get out ship scenes and fight to escape.
That is 13 minutes of the fight. Give 3 for retrospective and 5 for them going home. And add some way for them to encounter the Shrek ship and you have a 22 minute episode.
Assuming my timing is wrong you can stretch it to 44 minutes or 2 episodes max.
You can make her a recurring villain and expand on her.

After 1 season of treating Picard like a Starfleet-pariah, pushing shitty original characters and showing a dystopian Federation and another season of a nonsensical timetravel plot with no narrative coherence, season 3 feels like something that resembles an actual show and it brings back characters that were purposely ignored.
