It doesn't even seem like a joke. It seems like they really took Shin Hati (since she seems to be very popular) and said, let's make her black and sith
No idea about the show, but yes, she's pretty cute in the photo.
I unironically believe that while many of the directors are obsessed with uggos, Hollywood is just having a hard time finding attractive women who will do this shit for less than a million dollars.
Hot chicks have so many options, marry a rich guy, onlyfans, even cosplayers on instagram make comparable money to being an extra in hollywood. And none of those involve living in a godless hellole like LA or Atlanta and having to deal with the pill addicted fricks that work in the film industry or blood orgy rapists like harvey. Then if the movie does well you have to deal with contsant fricking media attention that we now know turns even gorgeous well put together women into suicidal zombies within a decade.
Attractive actresses use to be a dime a dozen in hollywood because it was seen as "every pretty girl's dream" to be a star. Now anybody with common sense wants nothing to do with it.
>advertising Bad Batch >pretending to like Filoni Wars >pretending to like Disney Wars >using a beloved EU character as engagement bait
Yep, it's a shill thread.
Zoomers, I prescribe you to go watch the Tartakovsky Clone Wars, read the Darth Maul Dark Horse comics, read Darth Plagueis and go play a healthy amount of KotOR in order to not be infected by this cancer.
And remember to drink some water every now and then.
"EU lore" here just means throwing some shit they found on Wookiepedia against the wall and hoping it'll stick or that some brown redditor will notice.
You're not going to get any faithful representation of the EU material or even any satisfying Rule of Two shenanigans.

She said she grew up reading the 90s books and it's what made her want to work on star wars. What are you nerds talking about?
It also makes no sense whatsoever, because the movie clearly stated: "Only two there are, no more, no less." Darth Sidious and Darth Maul. Two Sith Lords. Darth Plagueis had to be dead. And, indeed, this whole "tee-hee, he is right there off screen in this scene!" is super stupid and fan-fiction'y.
Reminder that Lucas was only involved early on with the book when it was intended to be published back in 05 as a tie-in to RotS. The version we got years later was significantly altered from the original and had no involvement with Lucas.
Maul was no sith lord just a mere tool for the real sith.
That and the fact that neither Plagueis nor Sidious 's quest for power could ever be confined by some arbitrary rule.
It still fits within the context. We cannot know what Sidious though or planned and a red, horned humanoid with sith tattoos is a bit of a weird choice for Sidious to have at his side in public.
>Maul was no sith lord just a mere tool for the real sith.
Autism and fanfiction. Watch the movie before spewing out some moronic bullshit. Read less fanfiction. He is literally DARTH MAUL, LORD OF THE SITH. As opposed to, eh, Assaj Ventress, who is just Assaj Ventress, and NOT a Darth. He is DARTH, like DARTH SIDIOUS, DARTH TYRANUS and DARTH VADER. Lucas made it very explicitly clear that he was a real Sith Lord, and he never pretended otherwise or treated him as anything else.
Yes of course. Sidious says to Maul that he is a Sith lord and to Plagueis that he is The Wise. No Sith Lord would ever lie to get to their goal. Are you going to tell me he intented his apprendice Darth Tyrannus to beat him and take the mantle of master?
Darth Maul is Sidious cruel joke. A poor child who got groomed into an animalistic delusional hunter. Still he rose above what Sidious marked him.

No Sith tattoos. Sidious plan for the empire was to get the galaxy full of atheist a la Han Solo, having a guy with literal runes in his face seems moronic for that.
No, dude. Maul was just a failed apprentice. Simple as that.
My reasoning is that Sidous though "maybe he can be good apprendice and if not is just good to have a trained killer from birth that is loyal only to me". But he displayed none of the Sith best abilities (cunning, strategy, politics, tactics, huge raw power, ...)
But he was groomed to be a true apprendice like Vader.

There was no need in TPM to display that. That was not his goal. He did display them elsewhere. He was a Darth, a Sith Lord. I am waiting for you to prove otherwise from the films or using Lucas' words.
Quit embarrassing yourself.

You're both idiots. Maul in the EU was a legitimate Sith apprentice, only Plagueis thought that he was merely an assassin, but even then he didn't care because he wanted to end the Rule of Two.
Palpatine tried to have Ventress killed exactly because he was afraid that Dooku would do exactly what he himself had done, which was groom an apprentice under his own master's nose until he was prepared to discard him.

The difference is that Maul was DARTH Maul, he was a Sith Lord. Whereas Ventress was merely an assassin, an agent of Dooku. For Maul to be Darth, Plagueis had to be dead in TPM, for there can be only two Sith Lords. For Ventress to be Darth, Dooku and her would have to kill Sidious first. That's why she was never a Sith.

What, are you moronic? The title is irrelevant. Plagueis didn't care since he was fine with the Rule of Two ending, and with Ventress whether or not she has the title also doesn't matter because the whole point of the Rule of Two was to stop internecine conflicts, which can still occur no problem if a Sith lord uses a totallynotforrealSith in a ploy to topple their master.

The Dark Side ending sets up George’s idea that the Sith ruled the galaxy for 1000 years. It would be infighting and frequent backstabbing that would cause their downfall, not a war between them and the Jedi.
That's incorrect. Revan and Bane were supposed to appear to the Son, revealing that they were the ones manipulating him and plunging him into darkness. However, Lucas backed down, because the Sith cannot become spirits.
Darth Bane is the author of Rule of Two, which was confirmed later to Yoda.
George never played KOTOR he never had any plans to use anything from it. It's just Filoni lying to you.
Of course. Lucas even said "There was never a war between Jedi and Sith, that's just made up by the fans or someone."
He told Filoni to find some two Sith Lords to corrupt the Son. Filoni brought him Revan and EU version of Bane. He approved it. They recorded dialogue and did a story reel, but then when George watched it, he said to cut it, because the Sith cannot become spirits.

Because he could afford it. Revenge of the Sith had 5+ hours of footage and massive reshoots at the very last moment, where Anakin's entire fall to the Dark Side had to be reshot in addition to the new scenes, like that one where he cries at the Jedi Council chambers, which was one of the latter additions. George has the mind of an editor, as he himself said. It's when you get the footage, play with it, when you get to see it that it starts to be clear whether it makes sense or not and whether you want to keep it or not. He always keeps tinkering, and he does not believe that a work is ever finished, which was his impetus for making Special Editions.

>These current defacements are just the beginning. Today, engineers with their computers can add color to black-and-white movies, change the soundtrack, speed up the pace, and add or subtract material to the philosophical tastes of the copyright holder.
>Tomorrow, more advanced technology will be able to replace actors with “fresher faces,” or alter dialogue and change the movement of the actor’s lips to match. It will soon be possible to create a new “original” negative with whatever changes or alterations the copyright holder of the moment desires. The copyright holders, so far, have not been completely diligent in preserving the original negatives of films they control. In order to reconstruct old negatives, many archivists have had to go to Eastern bloc countries where American films have been better preserved.
>In the future it will become even easier for old negatives to become lost and be “replaced” by new altered negatives. This would be a great loss to our society. Our cultural history must not be allowed to be rewritten.

>Sith cannot become spirits
It's fine, but I would always have liked it if the Sith still had a consequence to their death. One is that when they die they generate a dark place like Yoda's cave, the other that they can become abominations of the dark side, mindless, dark souls deviant monstrosities twisted in eternal suffering. Because the Sith fear death more than anyone else.
That's incorrect. Revan and Bane were supposed to appear to the Son, revealing that they were the ones manipulating him and plunging him into darkness. However, Lucas backed down, because the Sith cannot become spirits.
Darth Bane is the author of Rule of Two, which was confirmed later to Yoda.
it fits Lucas' vision where if you are evil you will remain evil. You can't shoot lightning out of your ass and be edgy and dark and also good and honorable. the dark side is so seductive precisely because there are no half measures. If there really was a way to stay between light and darkness and have all the advantages without falling victim to madness, there would be no Sith or fallen Jedi at all.
Revan as an avatar of the player who wants to have fun works, but in canon he makes no sense.
>You can't shoot lightning out of your ass and be edgy and dark and also good and honorable.
It's funny because Luke was set up this way in RotJ and he ends up being able to shoot "good" Force lightning in the EU.
Electric Judgement is badass, by the way.
Because lightning are cool, but it's bullshit anyways, writers just can't understand that certain powers only belong to the dark side. and that's the point. Many jedis crave that power and act just like the fandom.

Pretty sure the prequel era is supposed to be the Old Republic, but some autist took the thousand generations line from ANH too seriously and ran with it. 1000 years was originally from the third draft of the movie, and Lucas eventually settled on that being the actual length of time for that era in the prequels.

They had a cold war that lasted almost as long as the Clone Wars my dood
Tartakovsky gave us the Anakin we deserved >hotheaded, smug traumaboy with fashy vibes is given the status of hero before he's mature enough for it >one bad civil crisis leads him to become a fascist
That was enough. It's both deep enough to feel real, but also simple enough to work in an adventure story for children, and the character is barely an adult himself.
He's better than Hayden's Anakin because he doesn't have the mopiness. He went from slave to wartime general within his childhood, and was never meek. He doesn't brood, he takes and does what he wants, and it's his lack of humility and faith in the Order that push him to total violence.
>I prescribe you to go watch the Tartakovsky Clone Wars
Those ones with Jedi Shaggy? It's shit. And 2d graphics are horrible there. 2008 Clone Wars are 1000x times better
I've never seen a fanbase with more of a disconnect between the (adult) fans and the creators than Star Wars. It seems like you guys are talking about completely different stuff than any of the actual Star Wars media released in the past 20 years.
Since 2012 the only time Star Wars has been good is when Kathleen Kennedy and her homosexual idiots have been preoccupied with doing something else and not paying attention.
In the past year: >George's only direct pupil was placed in a top creative director role >The company confirmed they have earned back 3x their original investment >George Lucas has come out and publicly backed the company as the only one he trusts with the franchise.
I feel like it's getting harder and harder to take the "star wars is dead" people seriously. Even if you don't enjoy the current projects.
nah man
the main movie trilogy is what matters most and shapes everything else, and the mainline movies are a total shitshow dragging everything else down
there is some good stuff here and there but it's way too inconsistent and sparse to really matter overall
>Upon graduating college, Headland spent six years working as an assistant at Miramax, a year of which was spent as Harvey Weinstein's personal assistant.
>Headland is gay and married actress Rebecca Henderson in September 2016.
>Headland is openly gay, said in an interview with the Advocate she intends to use this series to see Star Wars through a “queer lens“: >“…there’s just no way that me being a queer woman is not going to be reflected in my work. I could try not to do it, but why would I? It just feels like a natural extension of what I do,” said Headland, adding “I think that because storytelling, at its core, is always going to come down to either the personal or emotional through-line to your characters, your identity is important. And like I said, mine is just going to be in my work, whether I’m explicitly dealing with it or not, it’s always going to be there.”
>Jodie Turner-Smith, who is set to star in the Star Wars spin-off series The Acolyte, accused the Star Wars universe of being too male-centered and “patriarchal” during an event honoring the space epic and its dozens of spin-offs: >“My character, you know, she’s a powerful leader. She’s a powerful leader in a very woman-centered world, which I was very excited to kind of be in that because I feel like Star Wars is very patriarchal,” the actress opined. “So, it was kind of cool to have this sort of woman-centered figure.” >“And you know she’s really sort of going through a struggle because I mean that’s Star Wars, right? She’s really kind of like in this sort of quandary and that’s sort of her journey is to, to kind of go through this struggle between two ideas,” the actress added.
Nah, she had enough hints during Rebels that there was something different about her for me to buy it; and she still got them trapped in another galaxy; she didn't solve any of their problems at all.
I understand it's not a textbook Mary Sue. I'm suggesting it's reminiscent of the same phenomenon, however. It's one of those art-imitates-life moments, where a woman is excused of her shitty behavior because she's a woman / is attractive / defies stereotypes / in the name of yaaaas queen, etc.
Mary Sues lack qualities but still have abilities. The characters I'm describing have negative abilities but are still regarded as having qualities. The inspiration for the phenomenon is the same.
these characters were total nothingburgers only sold well by actors knowing how to carry themselves
seriously what is their personality? what are they like? nobody knows, these are ciphers not characters, people just liked rey stevenson and think she's cute
Who cares? Did you notice the part where I said "the coolest"? Aesthetics were on point, they are cool as frick and instantly memorable. They are so cool and visually interesting, that it's honestly baffling this came out under Disney. If this was 20 years ago, you'd have DarkHorse comic run about them and a bunch of novels written.
>If this was 20 years ago, you'd have DarkHorse comic run about them and a bunch of novels written.
This, Disney's content creation is fricking pathetic. And I think it has more to do with not wanting to step on toes than anything else. Circa 2007 you'd have almost the entire history of Baylan's time as a Jedi and Shin's backstory by now.
Baylan's and Shin's characterization is limited, but of what can I say off the top of my head
BAYLAN >Former Padawan. Probably a teen by the time of Order 66 >Still reminisces of the peace under the Jedi >However, sees that the dark side is more powerful, and thus "converts" to it, while maintaining a chivalrous attitude. >Essentially the same as Dooku. Also played by a well-mannered old man
SHIN >Impetuous >Probably saved by Baylan from inquisitors (If not his illegitimate child) >Almost puppylike loyalty to Baylan, with some briefs moments of independence >Doesn't know about the glory of the Jedi, and tends more to the unstability of the Dark Side (Or might as well be puberty) >cute
They are by far not flat characters. They have a potential that unfortunately is wasted on Disney
Exactly. The bar for quality Star Wars material is so low that just having a quality actor working out a serious role is more than enough to make everyone say Star Wars is saved
That and cute women.
Honestly it's always been like this. cool male actor, cute female actress
the only "good" things done under disney were the ones with minimal tampering. fallen order had decent characters and disney stubbirnly refuse to connect it to the shows that are front and center.

Not true. Lukewarm at best, depending on the episode. >Why
Because the show is pretty mediocre and boring. A few Crosshair episodes don't quite make up for 80% of bullshit. This show was bait and switch. They advertised a misfit commando squad in the Imperial era doing cool shit, but then they pulled some random kid no one asked for out of their ass, and it became a babysitting show with boring ass monster of the week and treasure hunt filler missions. And they are still doing this in S3. The plotting of this show is so milquetoast, bland, unimaginative and uninspiring, it just hurts. It's almost worse than Rebels. Characters are also not that interesting, other than Crosshair.
It has two of the best animated Star Wars episodes ever (The Solitary Clone & The Outpost) but it's surrounded by a lot of mediocre filler that's mostly not worth anyone's time when there's better shows to watch.
Nah. It's The Force Awakens before The Force Awakens. Steal key plot points of the movies and repackage them slightly with shittier designs, but still recognizable enough so you could bank on the instantly recognizable Star Wars visuals from the movies, even if it makes no fricking sense, since KotOR is supposedly taking place 4,000 years before the movies, yet it looks exactly like PT and OT and has the same fricking tech.
Every time Disneyshills try to get people excited about their latest DEIslop, I go and buy a mint condition EU novel or comic I missed when I was a kid secondhand. Not only will I not watch your shit, I will enjoy *real* Star Wars instead *and* ensure your mousefricker masters get nothing for it.
The best part of these threads is knowing that out in the real world, beyond Cinemaphile and twitter, most fans don't give a shit about Disneywars. They don't despise it the way many here do, but they certainly aren't hyped by it or excited for next product. I joined a new gaming club when I moved last year, and within two months I had the zoomers playing WEGD6 instead of Legion with 3D printed minis and reading Tales of the Jedi comics because there's just nothing compelling or captivating about Disneywars to anyone who isn't a paid shill or a DEIhomosexual who thinks "decolonising nerd franchises" or whatever is Important Work. All it takes is showing them the alternative.
The moment Disney accepts reality and dials back their output nuWars will drop dead on the spot, because the vast majority of people don't even care enough to hate it.
I love her
Shin Hati bros... the black girl is stealing our girls vibe...
It doesn't even seem like a joke. It seems like they really took Shin Hati (since she seems to be very popular) and said, let's make her black and sith
No idea about the show, but yes, she's pretty cute in the photo.
The age of tsundere goth female villains has begun.
She must be able to inhale so many midichlorians with that giant baboon nose.
Her nose is tiny as frick. What?
That ape's nose is bigger than a white MAN's let alone a woman's
I love Felicity so much.
have any of these dipshits working on star wars today seen the OT?
I watch for she
Is this on Ach-To?
Could be, we actually don't know
The Dawn of the Jedi movie apparently has a lot to do with Ach To so I could see them planting seeds for the plotlines
>Ach To

They have been trying hard to make the sequels relevant and important to the franchise so my guess is yes.
she is cute still not watching this dog shit tv show though
Cinemaphile enters yet another Yidsney marketing campaign cycle.

Hahahahahahaha
Is this real?
>w-why is Disney’s stock only trading at 50% of what it was two years ago??!!
Honestly made for white men to give her a big tummy.
I'm not even watching the trailer for this shit
who's the zoomer responsible for writing this shit
i can't jerk off to this

it pleases me to see another artist's take on her. I wonder which photo they referenced.

Why would you even bother posting this rubbish here.

Pre-ordering these right now.
I wish they would drop Hasbro so bad
But why isn't there a single attractive character in the whole trailer?
It's like it's being done on purpose at this point.
Anon
Genuinely might be the most conventionally attractive woman since Natalie Portman
>the most conventionally attractive woman since Natalie Portman
She knows it too.
3/10 troll, almost got me
Haha zoomer betas
you are fricking delusional
Shin is hotter
R1 chick is hotter
Rey is infinitely hotter (uhohh... Daisy Ridley...)
Ahsoka is hotter
etc.
Now anybody with common sense wants nothing to do with it.
starwars is not known for having hot chicks though. You had natalie portman and thats it.
Aayla Secura says hi.
The background Jedi with less than a minute of screentime and no spoken name?
Only if you count the movies. Plenty of hot chicks in animation and elsewhere.
why are rat shills always using pictures from the EU that they hate so much when trying to promote their slop?

Yep, it's a shill thread.
Zoomers, I prescribe you to go watch the Tartakovsky Clone Wars, read the Darth Maul Dark Horse comics, read Darth Plagueis and go play a healthy amount of KotOR in order to not be infected by this cancer.
And remember to drink some water every now and then.
Acolyte lady said she's going to fill the show with EU lore
Superficially though. It’s all gonna be total ass anyway.
"EU lore" here just means throwing some shit they found on Wookiepedia against the wall and hoping it'll stick or that some brown redditor will notice.
You're not going to get any faithful representation of the EU material or even any satisfying Rule of Two shenanigans.
This, the same lady bragged about not knowing anything about the franchise.
She said she grew up reading the 90s books and it's what made her want to work on star wars. What are you nerds talking about?
I think he's thinking about the Rogue Squadron director, and that was a game or movie that was supposed to come out, don't remember.
> read Darth Plagueis
Having him live past TPM was a mistake. I prefer that he died long before the events of TPM like RotS implied.
The version we got years later was significantly altered from the original and had no involvement with Lucas.
t.speedreader
Maul was no sith lord just a mere tool for the real sith.
That and the fact that neither Plagueis nor Sidious 's quest for power could ever be confined by some arbitrary rule.
> Maul was no sith lord just a mere tool for the real sith.
Only in Plagueis. Dude was just a failed apprentice.
It still fits within the context. We cannot know what Sidious though or planned and a red, horned humanoid with sith tattoos is a bit of a weird choice for Sidious to have at his side in public.
Again, EU headcanon. Again, irrelevant. That's not what was in the movie and not what Lucas intended or ever said. I honestly couldn't care less.
Never anwsered this about canon pal:
>No Sith Lord would ever lie to get to their goal. Are you going to tell me he intented his apprendice Darth Tyrannus to beat him and take the mantle of master?
Your argument is that Sidious doesn't lie to Maul or the Federation guys? The guy that spends all his screentime lying?
>I honestly couldn't care less.
Then do all of us a favour and accept you're out of your depth and go.
>a red, horned humanoid with sith tattoos is a bit of a weird choice for Sidious to have at his side in public.
And pic related isn't?
No Sith tattoos. Sidious plan for the empire was to get the galaxy full of atheist a la Han Solo, having a guy with literal runes in his face seems moronic for that.
>No Sith tattoos
Most people would just think they're regular tattoos. They don't know shit about the Sith.
OK, fair enough.
I still think Maul wasn't intented to be the true apprendice of Sidious. He could not have pulled of the Federation like Dooku did and that is a major part of Sidious plan
>Sith tattoos
Silly EU retcon.
>Sidious plan for the empire was to get the galaxy full of atheist a la Han Solo, having a guy with literal runes in his face seems moronic for that.
Source? Where was that in the movies, when did Lucas say any of that?
>But he displayed none of the Sith best abilities (cunning, strategy, politics, tactics, huge raw power, ...)
There was no need in TPM to display that. That was not his goal. He did display them elsewhere. He was a Darth, a Sith Lord. I am waiting for you to prove otherwise from the films or using Lucas' words.
Quit embarrassing yourself.
>Source? Where was that in the movies, when did Lucas say any of that?
Did you watch the original trilogy where everyone believed the force to be an old wives tale when in the prequels everyone knows it's real?
>There was no need in TPM to display that. That was not his goal. He did display them elsewhere. He was a Darth, a Sith Lord. I am waiting for you to prove otherwise from the films or using Lucas' words.
He was using an special assassin as an special assassin if he was a true Sith lord he would have been doing something more important for Sidious but alas he was not.
Also: anwser the sith lord Dooku question you moron.
>He was using an special assassin as an special assassin if he was a true Sith lord he would have been doing something more important for Sidious but alas he was not.
Maul did the same shit that Vader does. They're the enforcers, Sidious is the mastermind.
No, dude. Maul was just a failed apprentice. Simple as that.
> Maul was just a failed apprentice
>Takes down one Jedi Master and nearly another.
Nah, he was fine considering how young he was
You're both idiots.
>Palpatine tried to have Ventress killed exactly because he was afraid that Dooku would do exactly what he himself had done
I thought Dooku got tired of her and used the opportunity to kill her while in Boz Pity.
Ventress is literally what EU fans thought Maul was. A tool.
>go play a healthy amount of KotOR
Or watch this and its sequels.
?si=_QyFdlxb60ceqTFc
Apparently, Lucas was set on retconning Revan to being the Sith founder in TCW, and have the Dark Side ending be the canon one.
>Dark Side ending being the canon one
Cringe
George was smoking too much shit in the late 00s.
The Dark Side ending sets up George’s idea that the Sith ruled the galaxy for 1000 years. It would be infighting and frequent backstabbing that would cause their downfall, not a war between them and the Jedi.
They recorded dialogue and did a story reel, but then when George watched it, he said to cut it, because the Sith cannot become spirits.
>make some random sith corrupt some godlike space entity
>team makes an entire mockup animation for that story
>"oh wait actually I don't want them to be ghosts why'd I even think of this to begin with lmao cut it"
No wonder TCW was a moneysink.
RotS's story being so heavily altered by reshoots is very obvious in the final movie, too.
That would be too cool
That's incorrect. Revan and Bane were supposed to appear to the Son, revealing that they were the ones manipulating him and plunging him into darkness. However, Lucas backed down, because the Sith cannot become spirits.
Darth Bane is the author of Rule of Two, which was confirmed later to Yoda.
Revan being a Sith there pretty much points to the Dark Side ending being the canon one. Dude’s a villain all the way.
it fits Lucas' vision where if you are evil you will remain evil.
You can forgive Luke because he's THE jedi, but if every Jedi starts shooting lightning, it's just no
Don't care, get bzzt-bzzt'd lol.

Lol.
Nice gif, homosexual, you find that in a thumb drive from 2002 or something?
2005 and yes.
I wish I was good at games like this I played through these and every lightsaber battle was just violently flailing and praying I connect first.
movieduels mod for jedi academy lets you play every character in lore on every level and it's free if any of you ever wanna frick around for a bit enjoying the combat in that webm again
the lightsaber combat in it is updated even more too.
These are the same people who shat on the prequels for contradicting the EU. As if Lucas has to be beholden to shit he wasn’t involved with. The movies are what matters the most above everything else.
That's right Disneybro, consistency is for losers.
Lucas never considered the EU as part of his continuity. Why should he have to bend over backwards for the licensed material? It’s his story.
He shouldn't have licensed out the universe if he didn't want people to think that was the story. The same dumbass hubris led him to sell the franchise while thinking Disney would use his story treatments because of some gentleman's agreement with him being the creator.
Lucas considers only his films canon, but he has never stopped other writers from having fun. Typically writers were given a list of things they can't do, but beyond that he never wanted to limit anyone and in fact there are a lot of absurd things in the EU.
It's the fandom that takes this too seriously.
>It's the fandom that takes this too seriously.
As it is with all fandoms. Nerds will be nerds.
Videogame protagonist get a pass because they are the player's avatar.
I like light siders being ABLE to use these abilities, but letting them do it willy nilly like it's just part of their moveset is moronic
The movies made it clear that Force Lightning is a Dark Side ability. Luke doing that shit goes against the entire point of them.
Not because it's an ability but because they lack the mindset
>it fits Lucas' vision where if you are evil you will remain evil.
literally the entire lucas hexology is about the exact opposite you mouse shills are so bad at your jobs
>KotOR
how i wish for an unpozzed kotor adaptation, the games general vibe is so different and distinct from mainline SW i cant put my finger on it, maybe because of how gritty it is
seeing korriban and the tombs would be the highlight for me
4 seasons would be enough, two for each game
I have pretty strong hopes for the remake, even if nobody else does
You can adapt KOTOR in just one season, dude. Less is more. Anything more is just time-wasting filler.
>season
Frick Star Wars TV.
>You can adapt KOTOR in just one season
you can probably cram each game in a single season but i feel both games in a single season isnt doable
will do thanks anon
oh god its going to get pozzed to shit isnt it?
>pozzed to shit
You guys are such spazzes. Who cares?
Disney shareholder
I'm just a normy without American social politics brainrot
Check out Tales of the Jedi comics, they inspired the games and have an even more different vibe. Korriban is in them too.
The era is definitely coming back soon. Lucasfilm included it in the current narrative timeline as a period they are focusing on
No, it's not, they couldn't even make a KOTOR remake. Thank God.
> New Republic lasts for just ~34 years
lol
> First Order lasts for just ~14 years
lmao even
what the hell is this shit
Era titles are mostly semantics. First order, new Republic, and Age of Rebellion all have a ridiculous amount of overlap
Pretty sure the prequel era is supposed to be the Old Republic, but some autist took the thousand generations line from ANH too seriously and ran with it. 1000 years was originally from the third draft of the movie, and Lucas eventually settled on that being the actual length of time for that era in the prequels.
Yes, rebellions tend to have overlap with established orders, but the First Order and the New Republic didn't hold power at the same time. I think you missed my point.
They had a cold war that lasted almost as long as the Clone Wars my dood
Nobody tell blud how long the Empire was around for
>what the hell is this shit
Just a convenient way to organize things. The EU split things up in a very similar way in its guides.
Tartakovsky gave us the Anakin we deserved
>hotheaded, smug traumaboy with fashy vibes is given the status of hero before he's mature enough for it
>one bad civil crisis leads him to become a fascist
That was enough. It's both deep enough to feel real, but also simple enough to work in an adventure story for children, and the character is barely an adult himself.
This. His Anakin had a murderous temper that matched Hayden's. TCW's is just Luke Skywalker with a bit of edgy aggressiveness. It's lame as frick.
>TCW's is just Luke Skywalker with a bit of edgy aggressiveness
He's more like Han. Basically, Kyle Katarn.
Blame the fans for b***hing.
He's better than Hayden's Anakin because he doesn't have the mopiness. He went from slave to wartime general within his childhood, and was never meek. He doesn't brood, he takes and does what he wants, and it's his lack of humility and faith in the Order that push him to total violence.
>He doesn't brood, he takes and does what he wants
You will never see this in a white male character again.
We did. Years ago.
>I prescribe you to go watch the Tartakovsky Clone Wars
Those ones with Jedi Shaggy? It's shit. And 2d graphics are horrible there. 2008 Clone Wars are 1000x times better
>Those ones with Jedi Shaggy?
They were goofing, dumbass. You fricking nerds always take this shit so seriously.
Good bait, but no.
I haven’t drank water in months
>dykeslop
Is that heckin' Lord Plagueis, the Wise?
The only fricking female character I want to see use a lightsaber is fricking Asajj Ventress okay FRICK OFF with this ethnic diversity bullshit.
>It's okay if it's from when I was a kid!!
Either be consistent in your moronic takes or piss off
I was a kid in the 1980s homosexual this is about personality not my childhood
just wait 1 more week and you'll get her anon
She will appear next week in the bad batch
Who cares? Just more boring nostalgia bait being tacked on for hopeful engagement.
TCW Ventress is boring, anyway.
star wars is dead.
I've never seen a fanbase with more of a disconnect between the (adult) fans and the creators than Star Wars. It seems like you guys are talking about completely different stuff than any of the actual Star Wars media released in the past 20 years.
Maybe because the media released in the past, not 20 but more than 10 years, is dogshit?
Since 2012 the only time Star Wars has been good is when Kathleen Kennedy and her homosexual idiots have been preoccupied with doing something else and not paying attention.
Star Wars hasn't been good once since Lucas went away.
It's because star wars fans are notorious for only giving a shit about the stuff that released 15 years prior. It's always been this way
You should do some web archaeology and read the seething of EUgays in the 2000s.
Pic related was my favorite era of star wars seething
Star Trek?
The hasn't been any Star Wars media released in the past 20 years.
>the ACK-olyte
In the past year:
>George's only direct pupil was placed in a top creative director role
>The company confirmed they have earned back 3x their original investment
>George Lucas has come out and publicly backed the company as the only one he trusts with the franchise.
I feel like it's getting harder and harder to take the "star wars is dead" people seriously. Even if you don't enjoy the current projects.
You posted this before and nobody took you seriously, shill.
But I'm right though
You're wrong and you're also gay.
nah man
the main movie trilogy is what matters most and shapes everything else, and the mainline movies are a total shitshow dragging everything else down
there is some good stuff here and there but it's way too inconsistent and sparse to really matter overall
Ahem...
>Upon graduating college, Headland spent six years working as an assistant at Miramax, a year of which was spent as Harvey Weinstein's personal assistant.
>Headland is gay and married actress Rebecca Henderson in September 2016.
>Headland is openly gay, said in an interview with the Advocate she intends to use this series to see Star Wars through a “queer lens“:
>“…there’s just no way that me being a queer woman is not going to be reflected in my work.
>Jodie Turner-Smith, who is set to star in the Star Wars spin-off series The Acolyte, accused the Star Wars universe of being too male-centered and “patriarchal” during an event honoring the space epic and its dozens of spin-offs:
>“My character, you know, she’s a powerful leader. She’s a powerful leader in a very woman-centered world, which I was very excited to kind of be in that because I feel like Star Wars is very patriarchal,” the actress opined. “So, it was kind of cool to have this sort of woman-centered figure.”
>“And you know she’s really sort of going through a struggle because I mean that’s Star Wars, right? She’s really kind of like in this sort of quandary and that’s sort of her journey is to, to kind of go through this struggle between two ideas,” the actress added.
i've seen plenty of star wars cosplay with better art direction
Total Star Wars Death
The only cool thing to come out of Disney Star Wars. Shame one of them is dead already.
Meh, I can tolerate Sabine
She’s an absolute Mary Sue though.
Nah, she had enough hints during Rebels that there was something different about her for me to buy it; and she still got them trapped in another galaxy; she didn't solve any of their problems at all.
Causing problems and not being reprimanded for it just as bad. It's the same phenomenon pulled in the other direction.
That's not how invoking Mary Sue works
I understand it's not a textbook Mary Sue. I'm suggesting it's reminiscent of the same phenomenon, however. It's one of those art-imitates-life moments, where a woman is excused of her shitty behavior because she's a woman / is attractive / defies stereotypes / in the name of yaaaas queen, etc.
Mary Sues lack qualities but still have abilities. The characters I'm describing have negative abilities but are still regarded as having qualities. The inspiration for the phenomenon is the same.
This show is a snoozefest. Pullo is great in it though. RIP Titus.
these characters were total nothingburgers only sold well by actors knowing how to carry themselves
seriously what is their personality? what are they like? nobody knows, these are ciphers not characters, people just liked rey stevenson and think she's cute
BAYLAN
>Former Padawan. Probably a teen by the time of Order 66
>Still reminisces of the peace under the Jedi
>However, sees that the dark side is more powerful, and thus "converts" to it, while maintaining a chivalrous attitude.
>Essentially the same as Dooku. Also played by a well-mannered old man
SHIN
>Impetuous
>Probably saved by Baylan from inquisitors (If not his illegitimate child)
>Almost puppylike loyalty to Baylan, with some briefs moments of independence
>Doesn't know about the glory of the Jedi, and tends more to the unstability of the Dark Side (Or might as well be puberty)
>cute
They are by far not flat characters. They have a potential that unfortunately is wasted on Disney
Exactly. The bar for quality Star Wars material is so low that just having a quality actor working out a serious role is more than enough to make everyone say Star Wars is saved
That and cute women.
Honestly it's always been like this. cool male actor, cute female actress
Hes not dead they can cg him
Too expensive. Just recast the role.
Could baby Sheev actually be around at that time?
Yeah but it would be a huuuuge stretch.
I think it's more likely we will see apprentice Plaguis
It’s only a stretch because you assume the Darth Plagueis book is canon.
the only "good" things done under disney were the ones with minimal tampering. fallen order had decent characters and disney stubbirnly refuse to connect it to the shows that are front and center.
Fallen Order was lame and gay. Disney hasn't made a single good Star Wars videogame in 12 years. 1313, Darth Maul videogame and The Force Unleashed 3 died for this.
you need to be 18
Darth Maul was never even greenlit for development and 1313 was going to be a garbage uncharted clone
>Darth Maul was never even greenlit for development
It literally was, dumbass. There is literally fricking gameplay:
> 1313 was going to be a garbage uncharted clone
As opposed to Sekiro/Tomb Raider/Uncharted clone starring lame ginger homosexual and his cutesy disney droid pal? Yeah, right. I will take an M-rated Boba Fett game on Coruscant any day of the fricking week. Even music is better than anything in fricking Jedi Fallen Order.
>Even music is better than anything in fricking Jedi Fallen Order.
i have no horse in the race but if you think what you linked here is good or memorable videogame music then you're blinded by something and i don't know what
That gameplay was made as a proof of concept on the devs free time. It was made to show publishers for funding which they never got.
>muh Uncharted clone
Who gives a shit, the setting alone was more exciting than anything Disney has ever tried.
Fallen Order is better than TFU by a mile.
Not the PS2/Wii/PSP version
Yes, that version too. I've played both. Neither is more than passable.
you have a shitty taste then
TFU is just ass, friend.
>fallen order had decent characters and disney stubbirnly refuse to connect it to the shows that are front and center.
and thank god for that
the only reason it had decent characters is because the writers are not lucasfilm stooges, if you wanted to bring those characters into the tv shows they'd be written by lucasfilm stooges and turn into caricatures
Cal Kestis is a lame boring gay homosexual, and the his cutesy droid pal and one liners he keeps exchanging with his is the most disney thing ever. Cal Kestis is more boring than fricking Jaden Korr. At least you could customize Jaden Korr and fall to the Dark Side. Jedi Fallen Order games are utter frickign garbage, and you have to be either a sub 90IQ moron, a woman or an unironic EA shill. have a nice day.
you seem like you have some severe anger issues because something came after your childhood ended and aren't in the right state of mind to decide what i should like or not
Mods, dude. Just install a mod to change his appearance.
>and the his cutesy droid pal and one liners he keeps exchanging with
i don't get how you've managed to spin this into some kind of bad disney thing when the interactions between a boy and his droid were a staple of nearly every lucas SW movie
brain rot works in mysterious ways i guess
The Inquisitors are still dumb as hell though. Vader’s job during the 20 years between RotS and ANH was to hunt and kill Jedi. So why the hell is he outsourcing to those chucklefricks? They frick up all the time. These guys made more sense when they were a product of the power vacuum left behind by the deaths of both Vader and the Emperor. Just a group of darksiders with ambitions to take over from them just like pic related. Post-RotJ, not pre-ANH.
>So why the hell is he outsourcing to those chucklefricks?
because there's an entire galaxy of ground to cover and it's useful to take jedi/padawans and mindbreak them to cover more ground, if they succeed in killing a jedi it's mission accomplished, if they frick up and die it's no loss because they were just mindbroken jedi/padawans anyway
He had 20 years to kill all the Jedi, dude. That’s more than enough time, especially since Order 66 killed most of them anyway.
Those Jedi are pretty scrappy.
an entire galaxy
Hyperspace, dude.
that's like saying you'd have a better chance of finding a needle in a haystack if you've got gloves
technically yes but you're still not gonna find it in a reasonable period of time unless you've got more people looking with you
>that's like saying you'd have a better chance of finding a needle in a haystack if you've got gloves
No, it isn't.
Force users can sense other force users, dude.
>entire jedi order at the height of its power fails to sense the main sith lord in front of them
but uh "dark side has blinded us" or something lol whatever
Yeah. That shit's no joke.
Always been inconsistent. Generally it's only with Force users who know each other, and only if they want to be perceived.
These goobers were corny as hell and that's a good thing
only jerec, yun, and the lady should have wielded lightsabers, the rest should have just been knock off followers Jerec's stronger force sensitives had been teaching jedi powers to, giving them all lightsabers just seemed lame to me.
Jerec was an Inquisitor.
EU inquisitorius was a Damocles sword hung over Vader so he stayed at peak performance. they represented potential replacement, quelling upstart darksiders and lightsiders alike
>disney stubbirnly refuse to connect it to the shows that are front and center.
Bad Batch keeps on referencing things in it though?
loose secondary references
>not ONE white guy
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
You'll suck down the DEI and enjoy it
I haven't watched a single Star Wars piece of media since The Force Awakens, I checked out after that bullshit.
i can see the diversity checkboxes being ticked live on screen
Hope it doesn't suck ass. One just can't be mad at Amandla
Who the frick is Amanda?
the Black person israelite
Amandla Stenberg, Amidala in that pic
all amandas piss me off
a queer feminist activist made this. how do you think it's gonna go. yep.
But there's really nothing wrong with this cast. If they were all good developed characters it would be interesting. You have white, asian, black...on paper itps fine.
>But there's really nothing wrong with this cast
>a chink
>a spic
>a bunch of dykes
>israelites/arabs
>asiatic
>twink
>Black person
>a giant who will probably be a wookie
This cast is absolute dogshit, you delusional gorilla-Black person.
That is one big white boy
They only had two uninteresting spaceships in their new star wars trailer. Weird.
Leland Chee left Lucasfilm.
Is the Darth Plagueis book even good, or do the EU fans overrate the frick out of it because it heavily references other works?
It's great. That and the Bane trilogy are great, specially the english audiobooks.
DEI
>Yet another Star Wars show about a diverse stronk woman that needs no men
They are going to preach us, again
Rings of Power with lightsabers
Looks awful, only the shills and coomers will keep threads going
We get it anon
We = Disney, it = bad ratings and low viewership.
Nobody is monving on. It's still shit.
meh i couldn't care less about modern star wars, mandalorian was ok but they milked that shit out
WE WUZ USIN DA FORCE AND SHIT!
Wonder if they start with an opening crawl to explain where we're at. It's an era of peace, based Jedi patrol the galaxy yada yada yada
His face looks like a dick.
Which is why pic related is the better design.
George Lucas told James Luceno to make him a Muun IIRC.
Spiclo Spicdalgo lying again for clout, what a disgusting little creep.
Clone Wars 3d cartoon sucked ass and so did everything after it
EUgays were a mistake.
>verification not required
Troon wars is on the decline
Kathleen Kennedy and her gay army put fricking Lizzo in star wars, you morons actually think this will be any good? They will pander until the franchise has nothing left
There is still so much opportunity to pander to israelites, indians, blacks, trannies, etc. The next series is probably gonna be called israelite wars or troony wars or something
>Troon wars
Officially now no longer "family friendly". Troons are delusional mentally ill individuals. This is sick and depraved, and I wish parents would care enough about their children not to watch this filth.
Que asco
What's with the costuming and production design? If you showed this frame out of context would anyone be able to tell that it's from a Star Wars?
Star wars India edition
You can see aliens and goofy hair styles in that frame, so Star Wars would be one of my first guesses.
Where can I get season 3 of the Mandalorian?
Scrape the bottom of a dumpster.
Thank God we're finally getting a Star Wars thing led by women and minorities. it's been a long time coming
If you’re first thought after seeing the poster for The Acolyte is to make jokes at the expense of women, then you have much more deep rooted issues than just disliking new Star Wars projects.
Absolute cringe and outright sickening.
did Kathleen Kennedy just join the thread? Stfu stop ruining star wars with your homosexualry
The people in power, the elites, obviously don't want to make something people like. Something that is successful. They want to demoralize. They want to provoke, aggravate, and cause division. They want to sabotage and ruin things that people love. It's all subversion. All part of the take-down of the West.
Or they genuinely believe in the gay shit, and are just as dumb as the average person.
They don't believe in it. And the average person clearly hates it. Which is the desired goal. It's all subversion. Planned and organized. Ruining beloved heroes, franchises, characters, and hobbies is all part of the elite's plans. They want the negativity.
No, dude. They actually believe in this crap. It's called mental illness and Hollywood's full of it. They're fricked up and dumb as hell.
No, it's all calculated psychological warfare. And all part of the sabotage of Western society, carried out by the central bankers and their media minions.
Dude, most people aren't buying what they're selling. It's obviously not working. You give these out of touch weirdo freaks too much credit.
You exist in the chudosphere bubble, as do I.
You just lack the awareness to admit it. Most people are indeed "buying what they're selling". A handful of underperforming movies is a blip in the ocean.
The answer here is that the useful idiots who make these things actually believe in them, while the guys who fund them are out to destabilize the west. It's a perfect combo of mastermind and useful idiot.
I genuinely feel like this is probably going to be their biggest D+ show
I don't know how anything related to Jedi shit still gets so fricking popular people just love glowing swords I swear, the trailer looked so shit. I don't want fricking star wars kung fu adventure just let it fricking die please.
Everyone loves to pretend they are too cool for Jedi-centric stories but know deep down they are always the most unique and engaging.
The premise has a lot of obvious appeal regardless of the execution (so did The Mandalorian's). We'll see.
I'm going to watch this dogshit, secretly enjoy it, and then watch over 10 combined hours of content from Mauler, Drinker, and LittlePlatoon autistically breaking down why it was garbage and I shouldn't have liked it - and I'll enjoy those videos too
this is the cycle
yeah nobody does this. you guys are getting desperate for us to watch this crap
I do that
its a symbiotic relationship these youtubers have with disney. Without disney they wouldn't have any views and patreon money. I wonder if youtube banned patreon what would happen to these channels.
can't blame them at all for jumping on such an obvious gravy-train
thousands tried but only a few really got big off of it
looks bad
Why does Cinemaphile pretend to hate Bad Batch tho??? Cinemaphile likes it, and I like it too.
Cinemaphile likes everything, they may as well be reddit.
I didn't watch it because the Clones are boring and moronic and don't matter
>Cinemaphile likes it
You mean you didn't like the episode with the Black female pirate or the 20 moronic fetch quest episodes with Cid?
It's boring and is built around an atrocious idea that is itself grown out of a shit idea. It does look nice for the most part, though.
I hate anything having to do with clones from the 3D Clone Wars simply because I hate the brainchip retcon.
And they all sound like Numbuh 4.
It has two of the best animated Star Wars episodes ever (The Solitary Clone & The Outpost) but it's surrounded by a lot of mediocre filler that's mostly not worth anyone's time when there's better shows to watch.
>better shows to watch
not disagreeing with the rest of your post but, like what?
Knights of the Old Republic is the best piece of Star Wars related media and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
Bad fanfic. Not even gonna bother. Star Wars ended in 2005.
you know what time it is
>What do you see?
Shoehorned diversity and yet another feminist power fantasy
God, the YouTube comments are cancerous
its mostly just disneys shitskin-written bots fricking sperging
They can't even bot right? It's so fricking over
300 replies and nobody's talked about how slow and clumsy the choreography is
It looks alright. Not outstanding.
It looked fine
