The winter season always puts me in the mood for Star Wars. The franchise never really died in my eyes.
Any projects you are looking forward to or ideas you would like to see?

The Acolyte, for the first time since 2005 a live action thing taking place before order 66
I'm just excited for something with the prequel aesthetic finally
>its all humans
Star Wars are summer movies. There is also nothing to look forward to.
Okay well I'm not 40 so for me it's a holiday event
All 1-6 movies released on May zoomer, SW are summer movies
> The franchise never really died in my eyes
That’s because you are an imbecile and a moron.
Why do the prequels, movies I hated years ago, seem charming now and the world they present interesting to explore while the sequels, even the first one that I initially highly enjoyed, feel worse and worse and completely uninspiring.
Because Disney Wars is just a corporation shitting out a product while the prequels are actual movies made by real people.
>the prequels are actual movies
Highly debatable.
Go to bed Kathleen.
Shockingly bad world building is the number one sin of the sequels change my mind.
Lucas pulled inspiration from
>Mythology
>Religion/Spiritualism
>Other films spanning various decades and cultures
>Pulp entertainment
>History
Whereas Disney and Co pulled inspiration from
>Star Wars
It's the difference between inventing the iPhone vs inventiing the iPhone 15 Pro or whatever.
Man using the iphone as the simile for inspired creativity is peak NPC
>Any projects you are looking forward to
No because unlike you I actually like Star Wars and I hate to see Disney shit on its corpse.

I always wanted something along the lines of Sith Lord of the New Empire.
The trilogu focusing on the Sith, Darksiders, Empirials and all the over all "bad guys".
The empire would be a Holy Roman Empire style federations of smaller states lead by their own Lords adept in the dark arts, playing political games and squabbling over petty conflicts.
The Empire would be in a sort of "Second Cold War" with the Republic and the Jedi, with the fear of mutually assured destruction avoiding larger conflicts, so the states would supports separatists, revolutionary and liberation movements in each other's territory, until armed insurrection would begin and the larger states would have to move their troops.
As the OT was inspired by the Dark Ages and WW2, with Vietnam era tactics, this would be inspired by The Early modern and the Cold War, with Desert Storm style tactics.
I just really want a full trilogy where the Jedi and force users are at the most prevalent. Too much of Star Wars is about their eventual extinction and not their history
Yeah, I am sure this post is not a shill for Akolight.

'FROM MY POINT OF VIEW, THE DISNEY SW IS GOOD'
Yes. I want Lucas to dab on them white slavers and publish his story treatments for Eps VII, VIII and XIX (and the actual script for the 1st one which his collaborator Michael Arndt actually delivered and was fired by Disney after doing so).
I want his whole cosmology with the Whills and the midichlorians, the grandchildren of Vader, sexy femme fatale Darth Talon, etc. I want the real thing.
The new content we get varies so drastically in quality that I no longer take anybody seriously that implies the whole franchise is bad. Forced all of the angry shitposters to differentiate themselves from the people who had genuine grievances with the sequels
See
It's because nobody in these threads have actually watched anything. They just saw the sequels and convinced themselves that the whole franchise is like that. See below:
I highly recommend checking out The Mandalorian
>They just saw the sequels and convinced themselves that the whole franchise is like that. See below:
Your shitty TV series managed somehow to character assasinate Kenobi and Leia.
The Mandalorian S3 was literally shit-tier anon. S2 wasn't great either, really bogged down by all those "pilot for a spin-off series" cameo episodes. Only first season is good.
>The new content we get varies so drastically in quality that I no longer take anybody seriously that implies the whole franchise is bad.
Star Wars has always been that way. During the OT era the movies were great but then you had shit like the Holiday Special and the Ewok TV show. During the Prequels the movies sucked but the video games and most of the books/comics were great.
I don't think the prequels get enough credit for George recontextualizing the OT's simple hero's journey with post 9/11 political sentiment. It's not just about a hero fighting nazis and redeeming his dad anymore. It's about a hero redeeming a system that has been corrupted by politicians.
More children's media needs to paint politicians as inhuman monsters. Because they are.
they should show the jedi being more warlord-y and less in their comfy perched condition during the prequels. never understood why people liked the visual direction of the old republic era media
