Yes. It’s the single best Star Wars movie

      Checked, based, correct

No, it was absolutely terrible but it wasn't as boring as TPM and AOTC were so it gets remembered more fondly. The writing was still shit but it amuses morons.

Yeah its really good, not a big fan of the other two prequel movies either, even the cheesy parts still add to the charm. I'd go so far as to say its better than RotJ.

ROTS is on par with ROTJ, but only because of the final scene in the emperor's throne room being more impactful than the obi wan vs anakin fight scene.

Would definitely agree that ROTS is on par with ROTJ. A little goofy in some areas but overall a solid conclusion to the trilogy.

Solo is fricking soulless trash. On par with TLJ for entirely different reasons. Attack of the Clones is better than any Disney products. Detective Obi Wan is kind of kino if you give it a chance

I can see how someone might not like Solo but how was it soulless? They made some questionable decisions in the movie but in the end I’d say it was very decent. Good acting and storyline all round. Woody Harrelson was great as Solos mentor.

The director was shit canned halfway through and replaced with Goyslop auteur Ron Howard. The entire movie is taking a character with a scumbag background and making him a naive boyscout who merely acts tough.

no, but it is the second best behind the original from 1977.
they need to cut out all the crap from I and II, combine them into one movie. keep III and IV as is, then combine V and VI after cutting all the crap out. completely scrap the sequels, EU, and filinoi shit, im tired of hearing about anything star wars related from any fan of those 3. them shits aint even real star wars gimme a break

worst of the prequel films. First half is just a rehash of episode 2, second is contrived fan service

Hayden Christiansen can’t act and the idea that Lucas intended it to be as awkward and moronic as it is just goes to show how un-socialized and autistic zoomers are

Solo had decent set-pieces. It wasn't great but it was still watchable. TLJ was the best out of the new trilogy (which isn't saying much)--it was pretty bad but at least Kylo was interesting as a character and it was fun seeing the complete meltdown of the SWU.

Kylo is more interesting and better written than Anakin in the prequels. How fricking sad is that? Disney should just say frick it and re-do the prequels.

I’d say that TFA is easily the best of the sequels. Don’t get me wrong, it was pretty much just a ANH clone, but it was definitely a solid start. I remember walking out of the midnight screening and being pretty excited for the next movie. Kylo Ren is a pretty good villain, but they screwed up by removing his mask too early (and yes I know they needed to for the Han Solo scene to work) but still, it ruined a lot of intrigue for his character.

A lot of people have that opinion. I'm not trying to be a contrarian or a pseud--I just liked TLJ because it veered off and I didn't really care about Star Wars movies anymore. Out of the Disney-era films, Solo is the one that reminded me the most of old Star Wars shit I liked as a kid and it's the only one I'd consider worthwhile. There was plenty of dumb shit in it but a least there was a little about the underbelly Han is supposedly associated with and it might have been fun to see a lead-in sequel where he's working for Jabba. (I kind of wish he was more of a self-serving butthole though--his character was basically what it was at the end of his arc in the original trilogy).

              Anonymous

I respect TLJ for veering off in some ways, but the execution was ultimately that of a later Harry Potter movie, which is worse than a bland Star Wars rehash imo

                Anonymous

Yeah. It wasn't executed well at all and none of the characters were worth following (except Kylo to a small degree--he had potential). I was a pretty big Star Wars fan as a kid but that was long enough ago now that I don't give a shit about any of it and see it as a trainwreck.

I wouldn’t say Kylo is more interesting and better written than Anakin. His character is just a lost edge lord, which makes for a terrible antagonist. Autistic Anakin makes for a better protagonist. But Christiansen’s acting ruins it ultimately

Kylo has a reason for his motivations (it's kind of dumb, in that it fricked up Luke's characterization, but at least it's there). Anakin is just a moron and nothing about his backstory was done well (as far as the movies go--I've heard the cartoons flush shit out but that doesn't make up for how terrible and convoluted everything was about him in the prequels).

Some areas of the movie were definitely kino. The costume design, setting and overall world building were very good in ROTS. It’s easily the best of the prequels. Some of the areas could’ve definitely been done better though. Not sure if anyone’s read the Revenge of the Sith novel but it does a lot better job at capturing the best parts of the film. Overall, ROTS is a Star Wars movie that is very enjoyable for Star Wars fans and is undeniably better and more “Star Wars” than any film Disney could put out.

Overall score for Star Wars fans: 8/10.

Score for people who aren’t Star Wars fans: 7/10
