The original traditionally animated miniseries was more worthwhile than the entire run of the 3DCG series 2bh

The original traditionally animated miniseries is the single most overrated thing under the Star Wars brand and it's so fricking moronic that it makes the sequel films look reasonable by comparison.

Pick just one non-argument anon, it's a bit more credible that way

        True

It's cool and I don't have a bad time watching it. More than I can say for TROS.

      No
Any good arc of The Clone Wars is better than Genndy Wars, the only memorable parts of 2003 are Palps Rescue and Anakin's visions
If you like mindless action, zero plot these are better sure.

Which is fine because I don't even think most of the episodes reach ten minutes runtimes

it says a lot that a show that was only action scenes still did a far better job setting up anakin's descent than seven seasons of tcw

It must have been confusing for normies to learn Maul came back in one cartoon series, then dies in another that takes place a couple years after this scene.

Bringing Maul back was such a shitty idea, it was better when he was mysterious, now hes just another annoying loser and jobber just like every other Star Wars villain but Sidious

He was brought back so he could be the big bad of the sequel trilogy but Disney axed that idea.

It's funny how you're acting like that kind of thing was pioneered by or unique to SW

I don't think anyone is saying that, just that it sucks that it's happening with Star Wars of all things.

I mean, that's just any disney property at this point.
How many fricking tie-in shows does the MCU have at this point? It's well into the double digits.

With the MCU, you could at least see it coming because that's kind of the whole nature of superhero comics in the first place.

        I mean - I guess?
I didn't watch any of them, but were the DC tv shows like arrow/supergirl/etc tied into the movies or required watching? I think I heard the Flash one almost was, but got cut.
In any case, pre-disney star wars had 0 tv shows required to follow the movies, both clone wars shows and the animated movie were effectively non-canon eu material that went completely unmentioned in the main films.

Technically The Clone Wars was canon because of George Lucas' involvement and he was using the show to set the seeds for future projects like Underworld or his sequel trilogy with Saw Gerrera and Darth Maul's resurrection respectively.

ROTS takes place immediately following the vents of Clone Wars 2D and directly refers to them in the title crawl. TCW came out years after the last George Lucas movie so of course the movies wouldn't refer to it.

Dude, everything in the title crawl of RotS is actually in the movie - it basically just says
            >Dooku/Grievous has captured palpatine, and 2 knights are on their way to save him
And then cuts to Anakin and Obiwan infiltrating grievous' ship, confronting Dooku and Grievous, and rescuing palpatine.
What direct reference are you talking about?

              >What direct reference are you talking about?
Clone Wars 2D depicts the Battle of Coruscant, what led to Palpatine getting kidnapped, Anakin and Obi-Wan getting tasked to rescue him at the end of the series.

That would be ok if it wans't so damn bad. Those shows are so damn slow, the fights are always bad, the quips are always terrible even worse than MCU ones
