Sometimes it's okay to just enjoy some of the more pulpy consistent stuff. Watching the star wars galaxy endlessly expand with new material has always been it's most interesting aspect as far back as the 90s EU.

TCW was a garbage film, the show was cringe, it ruined Lego SW for a while, all the games that everybody was invested in and wanted to see wrapped up got shelved (KOTOR3/JK3/BF3), the EU was being retconned and replaced for no real reason, Legacy was middling, TFU was fun but shallow, and so on. And all for what? Lucas gave up and sold everything.
The late 2000s absolutely sucked for Star Wars if you weren't a zoomer playing catch up.

Better have a stellar plot though. What makes Mando fun is the episodic story-of-the-week format. If you took that away from any of Mandos previous seasons, there's really nothing to watch for.

long and short of it is that they're being written poorly, and often at the expense of both the other characters and universe itself. They're not being written as competent, everyone else is just being written as stupid. In the most egregious examples, the script bends over backwards to ensure women are always correct in every circumstance, and men are always in the wrong. Occasionally in an effort to make the woman correct in the "now" they retroactively make her incorrect in a previous scene, which is almost always ignored when going forward.
They also tend to have little to no character arcs. The were right in the beginning, and the film or show is everyone else learning how right the woman was. If a woman is evil in a show, 9/10 times they will be made sympathetic and redeemed somehow by the end of the film, series, episode, etc. Usually around a theme of sisterhood or female unity, but never because they fell in love with a man.
Also, a lot of these women act really obnoxious on social media, or say something really stupid, which taints interest about them and their product.
There's more but I'm certain it won't matter. No amount of complaining ever fixed a problem.

I generally focused on watching the later seasons as generally around season 3 or 4 when the animation improves the scripts also improved as well and became more serious as well as having connected story arcs instead of 1 off serials.
I think the show was necessary to humanize anakin and show off his friendship with Obi-Wan while showing off the dogmatic failings of the Jedi.
Disney did ruin starwars because first and foremost they had a mandate to use it for social engineering/propaganda rather than telling a genuine story that George wanted it became how could we israeliteify starwars.
The result you can clearly see with a tv show like the Mandalorian which takes no risks, engages in handholding and extreme fan service with no real substance or subtlety to the point that the finale of season 3 was extremely formulaic. it feels more like a pg version of breaking bad with israelites playing self inserts with the mandalorians oh we are a tribe of fragmented people from a lost homeland who need to unite and people invite us to live with them because we are so helpful. We live by strict codes and this what helps us live on.

long and short of it is that they're being written poorly, and often at the expense of both the other characters and universe itself. They're not being written as competent, everyone else is just being written as stupid. In the most egregious examples, the script bends over backwards to ensure women are always correct in every circumstance, and men are always in the wrong. Occasionally in an effort to make the woman correct in the "now" they retroactively make her incorrect in a previous scene, which is almost always ignored when going forward.
They also tend to have little to no character arcs. The were right in the beginning, and the film or show is everyone else learning how right the woman was. If a woman is evil in a show, 9/10 times they will be made sympathetic and redeemed somehow by the end of the film, series, episode, etc. Usually around a theme of sisterhood or female unity, but never because they fell in love with a man.
Also, a lot of these women act really obnoxious on social media, or say something really stupid, which taints interest about them and their product.
There's more but I'm certain it won't matter. No amount of complaining ever fixed a problem.

Yes there are a few very good TCW episodes, but the show is medicore at best. Beginning of the end was Ahsoka in general; why does Anakin suddenly have an aprrentice? Its makes no sense at all. There was so much other shit that made no sense or was unnecesary, the battles were shit compared to the massive ones seen in gendywars, etc. etc.
But at least Lucas had gayloni - at least partially - on the leash. Now that idiot is out of control. His stupid OCs appear in almost all Shows, his weird Wolfabooautism is showing up everywhere, nothing at all makes sense.
I dont fricking care about Rebels 2.0 (and draging an excelent character like thrawn into this) i want to see what really happened after ROTJ, how are the heroes doing? what is the empire or its remains up to? what about Luke? what about the devasted and enslaved planets and their native population like Kashyyk or Geonosis? Six movies, Gendywars, some Clone Wars Comis and books around the years 2002 until 2008 (when TCW sadly showed up) and games like Battlefront, Republic Commando and Empire at War are MY personal Star Wars and nothing will change this. Even the Ewokmovies are okay compared to everything gaylonii and Disney have done so far. Ahsoka was devised and implemented by Lucas himself.
it was intended as a show for kids so they needed some self insert for the kids, to "make them feel represented". it had to be a sassy girl because of wokeness. then later they found out that the real audience of clone wars is actually not kids but grown ass men in their late teens and twens and so they turned her into a "little sister" or "daughter" character which actually worked. a whole generation of men grew up with ahsoka and having brotherly/fatherly feelings for her.

Doubtful. The show was in development before ROTS even hit the theaters. If Lucas cared about a response, he wouldn't bother making the show of all, and he definitely wouldn't push stories centered on much loathed Jar-Jar, space politics, midi-chlorians, and other "controversial" things amongst the general public. Anakin was perceived as a "weak brat" in the movies, because he was dealing with the most terrible things in his life: the death of his mother, reuniting with someone he was in love with, and then the premonitions of his pregnant wife's death. Anakin at his core is a chad, and he displayed his "chadness" throughout the tree films. But some fans think that him at his worst is what defines his character, making him one note.

The IP owner will always have an arbitrary set of standards for determining what is and isn’t canon, usually it’s whatever the latest product is. That’s why the old EU was decommissioned, and it’s why Ashoka was brought into the main continuity, it was commercially viable, that’s it.

I think the only bad part of clone wars was that they nerfed general grievous and made him into a bumbling idiot. I generally focused on watching the later seasons as generally around season 3 or 4 when the animation improves the scripts also improved as well and became more serious as well as having connected story arcs instead of 1 off serials.
I think the show was necessary to humanize anakin and show off his friendship with Obi-Wan while showing off the dogmatic failings of the Jedi.
Disney did ruin starwars because first and foremost they had a mandate to use it for social engineering/propaganda rather than telling a genuine story that George wanted it became how could we israeliteify starwars.
The result you can clearly see with a tv show like the Mandalorian which takes no risks, engages in handholding and extreme fan service with no real substance or subtlety to the point that the finale of season 3 was extremely formulaic. it feels more like a pg version of breaking bad with israelites playing self inserts with the mandalorians oh we are a tribe of fragmented people from a lost homeland who need to unite and people invite us to live with them because we are so helpful.
