I think the main thing that makes star wars better than every other universe is how easy you can self insert in it. space travel is common and spaceships are extremely affordable. you can just buy a small used freighter and fly it on your own, whereas in star trek or warhammer you need to be a part of the military or some other organisation and even the smallest vessels need thousands of people to operate it

SG-1 is great concept with all over the place execution. With a more serious approach (especially in terms of internal consistency) and better funding it would've been amazing.
It's pretty consistently good after the first couple of seasons, imho.
They never stop with "uhh that piece of alien tech humans have just gotten blows up because it just does okay". Also shit like O'Neill magically getting rejuvenated after they disable the ageing nanobots keeps happening. I've trained myself to shut those things out of my memory and even partially out of my perception but for the first 3 or so seasons it was excruciating.
