I still can't forgive this show for so many characters being ruined or having their lives thrown to shreds just because of one stupid and tasteless ship that was clearly a bro-sis relation.
Just like pointed out, they just ruined every other relationship that Marco had just to force him to be all free for Star, but at the same time stomped on everything that had been built during season 2.
I thought the whole point of the ending was that dimensions can still be merged into each other and that possibility would still exist in the future with other dimensions.
This is an actual question, I'm not fully caught up with the lore.
No, only "some dimensions" were fused with Earth, the ones shown in the finale specifically, this was confirmed in the AMA where someone asked what happened with Kelly and Tom, Daron's answer was that Tom can still go to earth because his portals were not magic (even though they looked exactly like magic and made the whole "I can't go back because I'm all emotional" thing when he broke up with Star lack sense) and Kelly is in her dimension which was not fused, ponyhead though? Yes of course Daron decided that cancer needed to continue having the chance to be at sta's reach.
Their underworld is another dimension.
In theory only the kingdom had to fuse, but then they decided other places had to fuse as well, like the monster's area, the one with the eagles, the one with the pony heads, etc. I honestly don't remember what the kingdom was, pony kingdom, head kingdom, cloud kingdom sky kingdom some shit like that.
Oh look at that, ok then maybe it was more than just butterfly castle, I'll have to search for what she said in the AMA, but it does look like it makes sense, but then again she could have said that one time "Tom's castle is in mewni" instead she did say that Tom could still visit through portals, as if she was implying they were in different dimensions.

Maybe Nefcy just doesn't know the lore from her own show

Or the lore was never solidified/considered an important detail to keep up.
Ok, thanks for explaining, that seems really arbitrary but whatever, I've just tried to not take the story too literally and it makes the thing easier to digest for me.
Like the blood moon curse being a metaphor for a basic crush, different dimensions just representing different countries or continents and magic in general representing the turbulant years of being a teenager.
Maybe I'd feel different if I had followed it from the beginning and got all invested and stuff, but I'm kind of over doing that these days.
Amphibia only ended up being average in the end. Plus there was no shipping and Cinemaphile seems to not like pairing the girls together after some dude kept spamming Sashanne art.
What is it about endings of shows that gets everyone and their fricking dog crawling out of the walls acting like they're writing geniuses and know so much better than the people who created it?
When you make your own show you can end it however the frick you want.
You try talking about a show without mentioning its entire run. You can't just like portions of it, you need to enjoy the entire thing. That's why OTGW is one of the only shows Cinemaphile likes: because it's only 10 episodes long and therefore never has any room to blow it.
The "crash the ship with no survivors/god retirement plan." The invasion had all the tension of a finale that The Core fight didn't. There should have been a way to roll them into one.
Anne's sacrifice had no weight, because of course Disney isn't going to let the teenager die for real. The revelation that Amphibia and Earth would be separated forever was a more emotional gut punch anyway.
I just need something that satisfies the shipper in me that got blueballed when Jarco broke up and Starco got completely mishandled. How the frick is that so hard to get from media?! Why is Naruto of all shows the only thing that's accomplished it?
Whoever comes up with the catchiest name first and gets it trending with other channers, Tumblrites, Redditors and Twitter users.
Though sometimes the names can change. Just look at how Dipper x Pacifica went from Padippica to Dipcifica.

Padippica was the fanon name until an official book had Mabel ship Dipper and Pacifica as "Dipcifica."

I thought it was because of Dana Terrace saying it was called Dipcifica.
Jackie was turned into a lesbian by the Blood Moon Curse. Now that the curse was removed, Jackie will slowly go back to normal and see the entire thing as a lesbian phase
So white and latina women when they pay 50 bucks to the nig hair stylist.
Doesn't make them black even if they will totally go transracial when it gets legalized.
Kanye and pretty much all African Americans have brown skin. If the standard of blackness is specifically to be dark brown, then most Indians are black.

Well yes, we don't call them black because they hate dark dravidians for being blacker.
Too bad her dimension got cut off and they can never meet each other again
the whole finale screams insecurity.
they had to kill off hekapoo
turn jackie into a dyke
eliminate all connection with kelly
just for marco and star to have their precious finale
I'll never forgive the showrunners nor Starco for the damage they caused
kys self inserter
Janna’s still alive and single, how will Star remove that threat?
She can't. Janna knows how this will end. That's why she's playing the long game and biding her time.
Nefcy posted on reddit a pic from six months after the finale and Janna was dating Tom despite being zero hints in the show.
>being zero hints in the show.
but they're literally standing next to each other!

Was Kelly cut off though?

I thought only Earth and Mewni were merged and Tom lived in Mewni
Tom is a demon prince from a demon dimension, not Mewni. That's why he was never considered a monster and faced mewman prejudice.
No, it's part of Mewni
Their underworld is another dimension.
In theory only the kingdom had to fuse, but then they decided other places had to fuse as well, like the monster's area, the one with the eagles, the one with the pony heads, etc. I honestly don't remember what the kingdom was, pony kingdom, head kingdom, cloud kingdom sky kingdom some shit like that.
>Only the Mewni kingdom
Missed one key word there.

It's really only Mewni, Pony Heads were also in Mewni, get it in your thick skull

That's a bush.
a tree
Trees are taller.
They broke up off screen. That's how little anyone cared about their relationship.
This needs to be redone with every other female there can be: Eclipsa, Moon, Angie, Meteora, Jackie, Hekapoo, Higgs, Jann, Britney, and so on.
There should be a version of this where it's the creators being happier about sinking Jarco than Marco is sad.
The pacing of this was bugging me so I cut out all the blanking frames.
Are there any show where Jarco happens successfully and the viewers love it?
Are there any shows that don't blow it?
Amphibia. It hiccuped, but it didn't completely botch the ending.
Amphibia only ended up being average in the end. Plus there was no shipping and Cinemaphile seems to not like pairing the girls together after some dude kept spamming Sashanne art.

Everybody has nitpicks and criticisms about the things they like, and we can always look back and see how something could be handled better.
I like Amphibia and was ultimately satisfied by the ending, but even I can see how things could have gone smoother.
This homosexual accepts shit in his plate if it's part of a whole meal.
The x years later or the crash the ship with no survivors and god asks for an early retirement part?
The "crash the ship with no survivors/god retirement plan." The invasion had all the tension of a finale that The Core fight didn't. There should have been a way to roll them into one.

sailor moon
This was a bright spot about season 4 and it was extinguished far too soon and so unceremoniously
Still need recs for shows that never get bad.
The moment someone recommends something, you'll get ten anons screaming that they're wrong and whatever they recommended is garbage.
I just need something that satisfies the shipper in me that got blueballed when Jarco broke up and Starco got completely mishandled. How the frick is that so hard to get from media?! Why is Naruto of all shows the only thing that's accomplished it?
Then try Infinity Train Book 2. It will scratch your itch.
Is the in-show shipping good?
Yes.
Janna and Marco?
No, that's Manna. Jarco is Marco and Jackie.
Who decides this shit? The shipping police?

Kys, this Hispanic will never get laid with girls other than his slavemaster.
have a nice day, poopskin
this is the only good ship
Starcucks fear anybody who is on good terms with Marco
Correct
Tom should've gotten his own gay boyfriend if he couldn't have Marco.
Based as long as we can also have Star x Jackie.
Jackie was turned into a lesbian by the Blood Moon Curse. Now that the curse was removed, Jackie will slowly go back to normal and see the entire thing as a lesbian phase
Bugpeople > Descendants of amnesiac humans
I'll forever be bitter about this particular retcon
She aged backwards after the first transformation episode?
Mentally? Yes.
Star fears everyone and for good reason.
Vile
>black
Maybe you live in Iceland but in this country that's clearly brown.
She has an afro
So white and latina women when they pay 50 bucks to the nig hair stylist.
Doesn't make them black even if they will totally go transracial when it gets legalized.
That implies that Kelly goes to a hair stylist to make her hair resemble black hair. That’s...silly.
They're magical girls in magical dimensions, what's not silly?
Meh
it always sad to see cope like this.
Very cool, Joao
I guess black Americans are actually just brown like everyone else, huh?
That's black, a brown like Kelly is Zendaya or Santana
Kanye and pretty much all African Americans have brown skin. If the standard of blackness is specifically to be dark brown, then most Indians are black.
