It's not a great ending to have him killed off at the beginning of IW and then being relegated to tv, when a bunch of losers are still getting movies. He never got his Enchantress or any of his cool storylines. Even his own tv show was not really about him just setting up this timwy wimey stuff. He got shortchanged

Honestly though, his ship had sailed after the first avengers movie. Afterwards they just relegated him to comic relief with no powers other than the basic illusion duplicate stuff. The show was the best way to salvage the character.

I really liked season 1, especially since it was basically a Doctor Who replacement during Jodie's garbage run. But Season 2 may have the second worst ending I've seen in a piece of media in the last 10 years. And the whole thing was so badly made. I work as a sound engineer and legit almost all the dialogue this season has clearly audible roomnoise bleed from the lav mic and ambience spikes.
