Do fictional characters also have age and consciousness now? What kind of a post-truth bullshit is this? What kind of a dumb reality do we live in? Seriously, why?

it's to protect them from prosecution for making pseudo images of csa

won't work, but these people aren't geniuses or they'd hire actual lawyers

it's technically not cp unless it's actual images or traced from actual images. you won't get arrested simply for drawing something. there are laws anon.

      this isn't true

it can be considered csa material anywhere in the world, whether it is or not depends on the depictions themselves (if you universally portray Dora the Explorer as a busty 20-something it's obviously not csa even though canonically she's a child; effectively that's the parody defense) but if it's realistic or as close as you're capable of drawing realistic imagery of csa then you're gonna get your hdd taken away and searched and you may well end up in court, particularly if the context of what you've drawn is that you draw a lot of it, write about it, cyber with other people about it etc

      >there are laws

you should probably read up on them then

twitter artists who have clear profiles have tons of porn for cartoon characters that are canonically underage (cartoon character having age is something entirely dumb but that's an another story). so far, I've seen none of them getting vanned.

pretty much this as the current generation can't separate between fiction and reality.

      >the current generation can't separate between fiction and reality.

the issue is not whether something is a fiction but the intent behind that fiction

i'm surprised as learned a lawyer as yourself has no idea what mens rea is

I've seen rendered 3d images to pixiv and other sites which almost look exactly like the real thing, some which are still up after years. If it's not real then there's literally nothing wrong

as a legal expert I can say that cartoon porn is entirely in a gray zone, but tend to get ignored. unless it's a photorealistic depiction or a traced material, you can exercise the first amendment as drawn material is also the part of free speech. But I do agree with OP as fictional characters have no rights and therefore have no particular legal interest for a criminal protection as they do not exist in the first place.

didn't one aussie guy get arrested to whacking off to lisa porn ro something

Were any of these artists men? I see female artists get attacked for doing this constantly.

Because people will spam them otherwise. It also, I assume, protects them legally. Most people get around that by making fantasy creatures as stand-ins for that kind fo content. Also, who cares? If you're reading porn, you're doing it to get off most likely. I think there is only a single porn comic that I actually read for non-porn reasons and that was Price for Freedom. Though I think it is dead.

Yes, it's bad to fap to porn of characters that can't consent and you'll probably go to hell if you do

The only one that "matters" is the +18, so they can have an excuse for drawing underage characters.

What really bugs me are the people who complain about Asuka or Peni Parker porn but they don't care as much when it comes to other characters, like My hero academia students.

Patreon makes a huge stink about things like this. Even if you only post e-girl or cnc on a different site they still will lock your account unless you delete it. Incest comics also have to have disclaimers now about how they're actors in-universe or whatever.

What if someone made a comic that's clearly a rape comic but all the dialogue is "I CONSENT OH GOD I'M 18 AND I CONSENT AHHH"

Yep. It's why so much incest porn videos get labeled as "stepmom" or "stepsister". It's just a way to dodge around Patreon and PayPal and other companies that control the money.
