Well, lucky you, there's an abundance of "idea guys who can't draw" and not remotely enough "artists with no ideas". Draw fan art of other people's OCs. Get art our there with your name attached. Make the next piece of fan art that some Anon looks up on Sauce Nao. Don't feel too pressured to make "the next big thing" right away. If you can't think of characters or a story, then don't make one yet. Otherwise you'll end up like Andrew Dobson, who made (admittedly decently drawn) series that no one gave a shit about because they weren't good.
If things go really well then some moneybags ideagay could commission you to make the comic that he's too lazy to make himself. It'll probably be shit, possibly fetish related, but those tend to be the ones that pay the best. is also completely right. If you have no qualms about getting your hands dirty, you can make a living wage off of furgays. Just bear in mind that they do have a specific style that can take a while to learn and perfect. It may be unsightly for most people, but furgay art does require a lot of technical skill to create properly.

All I got right now is some Berserk porn of Guts having sex with Casca, buuut, the issue is I kinda have family members browsing this board and I already showed them the piece before adding the 18+ parts. I'm also saving it until I put it through one of those Light boards so I can clean up the line work before scanning it into photo shop.

So I drew this an hour ago so forgive some of the sloppiness, things I still need to do are, clean up the line work, fix Guts and Cascas hair, and i'm 50/50 on slimming Guts down in photoshop or just redrawing it because he is a bit to large. Also forgive me mods, but hopefully it's blurry enough pass. This done with only reference for the faces. I am also not this Jeremiah person.
I also need to shrink Guts Penis a tad. He's canonically a little on the small side.

My advice to you is never stop trying to improve your skills. Too many artists try to coast on passible abilities and eventually just backslide into complete garbage. Remember that you can always do better, and should always strive to be better.

you can only draw a hand so realistically, and even then you have to ask yourself if it's in service of your art goals. I get your enthusiasm, but it's kind of tiresome, and can scare some new artists off. I remember reading this incredibly pretentious thing years ago in some art book for the preface, where some japanese/chinese artist from ancient times was saying how merely drawing a line can take a 1000 lifetimes to "master" or some nonsense. kind of reminded me of how autistic sushi chefs can be. feels like some of these people get so caught up in the act of rendering itself and forget to inject their own sense of wonder, or have something personal to say, like they can't see the forest for the trees. most art I see these days are just cute girls staring at the camera making duck lips. amazingly skilled artists, but none of their art makes me feel a thing. or the art of craig mullins, who many consider the "godfather" of digital art. talented guy, but his work just leaves me cold. whereas charles schulz stuff is simple, even a child can draw it, yet it has so much personality. just try not to obsess over how good your art looks. consider what you want to say, and focus on what you need to improve in order to best express those ideas. realism shouldn't always be the goal. remember the picasso quote "It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child".

ask yourself something, what you can offer what others artists don't? artstyle, content, ocs etc
Get a ko-fi, even if the patreon is 5/3/1 a month, some might not feel the interest to sign up for that sort of thing, but sometimes depending on your followers some may drop a ko-fi from time to time and you could always incorporate it into something like drawing little roughs or sketches for a few of ko-fis or ko-fi suggestions for what to draw in regards to the material you already draw. Maybe a curious cat or something similar because you'll definitely get people who want to interacting with you OR simply want to request stuff if you give them that option.

Depends on what kind of art you're making. Certain sites will be more receptive to certain types of art than others, but more sites will always mean more potential eyes.

You're trying to worry about making cash too soon. Just draw, make friends, learn from the community, and when more people than you can handle start asking you for shit, that's when you start charging.
Is this alright, I didn't have a reference for her hand in profile. I also took some liberty and added that small shading she has below her neck in a couple other places.
