Starting this now, most of you said this was pretty good b-movie level dragon action schlock, some of you said you hated it but I'll make up my own mind.
Will monitor the thread as I watch

Cinemaphile is blue /b/
no, that's Cinemaphile
What game The one everyone reading this just lost?
>Cinemaphile is blue /b/
based 2012 time traveler. you hyped for the shazbowl?
hey this is your reminder that you can still play tribes there are still servers up sometimes
You know it's true, Cinemaphile is merely in it's completely unusable phase now which I guess makes Cinemaphile the new Cinemaphile which makes it the new Cinemaphile transitively. I concede.
Where do we go next?
>Where do we go next?
/wsg/ in a Cinemaphile general
There was a cheapo tie-in video game where you played as one of Rust's men in various trucks with guns fighting dragons. Wasn't as bad as it should have been, but extremely ugly and bare-bones.
I had it for the GC, was just memeing. Was pretty good for a movie-tie in game of the era but you're right it wasn't the prettiest
Really just such a cool setting that the game couldn't help but be stylish. This idea could only come out of the early 2000s -- too grim for earlier fantasy, not ironic for modern fantasy. I'm gonna see if I can find it streaming anywhere.

Really cool they hunt them during the magic hour, Terrence Malick would have such a boner.
Thanks la
Trivia on the game: the developer, Kuju, was famous for making the original digital hugbox, Train Simulator, a year before. They became infamous for making Warhammer 40k: Fire Warrior two years later.
That's a very varied 3 games. That generation was such a great time to be a kid playing games
Cinemaphile is blue /misc/
It’s true I love to say the Black person word here
>I sneed
>You follow
You better play the game too
This reminds me of a time in my life when I used to have friends, in high school. A bunch of us all decided to go watch this movie in the theater as a stupid fun entertainment. It was a lot of us, there were almost twenty of us. Strange to think that I once had a friend group that large, even if I wasn't particularly close to most of them.
I could give Quinn's mom what she needs, stability outside the mine and a hard dick to ride each night
>bale
>mcconaughey
seems worth it for that alone
And Gerard Butler
>"There's something in the hole," - 12 year old Quinn
Great quotes so far
I hope a dragon reigns a fire on your house OP
Me too
Checked
>Only one species is getting out of this alive.
Dragons feeding on ash was stupid.
I was gonna reply shittily to you for spoiling something but they say it in the first act so you're good anon, thanks for the bump
Oh shit it takes place in 2020, how prophetic
solid movie.
cant actually think of anything wrong with it.
The set production is solid with all the farms and shit amidst the burned out earth and already I appreciate the use of practical effects mixed with the limited (so far) CGI
one of the best OP
I played the game of this and never even realized it was a film tie in until now
What'd you play it on? I had it on Gamecube
Matthew McConaughey can pull off a shaved head pretty well
Gerald Butler is the biggest pussy in this movie, I'm glad he died.
What are you talking about, he bit the bullet and wanted to go save the people in Christian Bale's stead. He didn't really do much but definitely not a coward
Izabella Scorupco is a babe, would like to cum all over her lips
Really liking the procedural nature of this first dragon hunt, visually introducing the triangulation system before explaining it and mixing practical effects like the smoke cloud, dirt bike and horse riding + helicopter footage with the cgo
Matthew McConaughey's character is totally right, not rest until all dragons are dead
>implying a woman would be the most capable helicopter pilot left in humanity
plucky female chopper pilot is a beloved trope dont complain
I'm not, she's cute too, just shamelessly bumping my own thread
I've never wanted a piece of film clothing more than Van Zants flight vest, I probably wouldn't pull it off, but I would damn sure try. Also this is the most Cinemaphile a bald guy can get.
>Also this is the most Cinemaphile a bald guy can get.
Watched it in the kinoplex, but I don't remember shit, it was too long ago
Great first 2/3rds of a movie, but they rushed the ending tbh, movie should have climaxed with Denton's army getting massacred by the big dragon, the actual ending is so silly.
Pretty solid, largely agree with though it doesn't ruin it for me, if anything just takes it down to a 6-7/10 instead of 8. Great b-movie fantasy action early 00s schlock with some committed performances from 3 good actors.
Taking a jumping axe swing at an alpha dragon is a pretty baller way to die
