Steel's pretty cool.

Steel's pretty cool. He's a good type successor character who was clearly inspired by the Big S but also did it in a way that was wholly unique and sets himself apart.

He was also Steel’s VA in Superman The Animated Series

It was a good story. The Steel dating Lana status quo sucks, but that's not Worf's fault. If they gave him an ongoing I'd keep reading.

I didn't realize it was over already. The first two issues were a little heavier on dialogue and lighter on plot than I would have liked, but if it's all done I'll give it another shot.

Steel should have been set up as his own independent hero in the New 52. Mix his 90s origin with the Apokolips one they gave Cyborg.

they should just give him hardware's character the next time they do a reboot

Reminded me of the black Superman film they were patting themselves on the back about and yet, thankfully, they never delivered. Steel is there, do a Steel film. At this point we have probably moved passed the window of opportunity, what with the the superhero film implosion.

I can envision a timeline in which the DCEU and MCU are switched. Chances are we would have got a Steel film however, the monkey paw would be it gets released in the phase where DC shits the bed.

They'll never sell me on this. It's like if they gave Perry White a Mecha or something. Just didn't need to happen.

Intelligent and creates his own power set. Owns his on company.
Trusted superhero among the meta community.
Scores a super powered redhead as his fiancé.
Has interim life to charismatic heir in his niece, who’s a superhero in her own right.
Just found his missing great-uncle who was a golden age hero.
    Cucks Pete Ross.
    John Henry can’t stop winning.

I've always been a quiet appreciator of Steel. He's not the most interesting but his suit is cool and his backstory is enough, and he fills a niche. It's a bit lame his niece is also just Steel and has that gross head tentacle thing.

He just works well wherever you want to stick him really.

Pretty good character. I would have given a nut for a New Frontier John Henry miniseries done by Cooke. Not technically Steele, this I know, but we know he’s clearly inspired by the folktale also.

Man you and me both, brother. I get why the movie version had to cut that stuff out for time but it'd have made a good solid spinoff. Just want more of that era in general.
