They actually don’t want their pet characters to be in the wrong for something beyond being an annoyance that can be easily forgiven with proper communication and an apology. Plus it’s too much work for writers like this to be unbiased and devote time to every character equally. They can’t even get the world building consistent for the sole fact they just want the dramatic scenes without much thought of everything around it.
