The entire plot was completely based on two people not having a conversation, which is the number one most stereotypical example of a shitty plot. Suitable for a half-hour sitcom episode if it's fluffed up, but infuriating for a 2 hour major studio film.
See that line of reasoning would only work for the plot if she was either full-on psycho nutjob crazy like a chaos cultist, razing a city to ash to "try and create my new world" or some shit, or if she was completely being puppeted by a dark spirit, like if Wanda was gone and all that was left was "the scarlet witch" (wanda + demon), that would be a divergence from the canon but at least then her fall would make some amount of sense and there would be tragedy in her death, as it is she just comes across as a stupid piece of shit who deserves to die.
Theron isn't even a good Clea. She looks completely wrong. They should've just bitten the bullet and made Rachel McAdams be Clea, but instead the second movie went all in on this subplot of letting McAdams go
McAdams should've been cute Clea from DS1. The plot involved Dormammu being the mastermind behind Mads Mikkelsen so just have her acting as Dormie's agent in the human world who falls in love with Strange and betrays Dormammu.
The CG third eye looked so unbelievably bad at the end of MoM that I literally laughed out loud. The eye opened up and I did one strong, overly-loud, sharp, involuntary 'HAH!' and it was at like 2am and I was worried I was being too loud. That moment's going to be in my mind until the day I die. It looked like something out of one of those late night talk show skits where they try and do something topical about a movie for a gag. It looked like something out of an SNL skit. I can't believe it was in a multimillion dollar major studio film.
Is that... is that supposed to be a sincere excuse for it to look that bad? It being magic means it has the potential to be way more interesting, and other magical stuff like his hand disc magic gold light stuff all looks pretty great. There's no reason for it to look like a Jerma gag.
I don't think there's a right way to do a 3rd eye right in live action. Our brains realize that there's just bone behind the forehead skin, and the eye doesn't belong.
I got one: a stylized glowing overlay - not exactly a tattoo, but some kind of symbol hovering in front of the forehead. Gets across that it's magical, and if done interestingly enough it can get across how significant it is. I think little flourishes like that are underappreciated. Magic circles and symbols really hit home the feel of these occult things, you know?

GotG1 and Ragnorok were great because the studio just let a new director have some fun, and then when they made a bunch of money, it immediately turned the studio into a vampire and drained every ounce of blood they had. If we see another Sam Raimi MCU film, it will be in name only.
